~Dream's P.O.V~

Having to explain to an Omega that had never been taught anything about preheat or heat was quite difficult, and I was not going to show him anything. If he wanted to know something so bad, I would tell him to search it up, which he probably did.

I have also decided it would be best to give George space. I also knew the whole father situation that we were also caught in was stressing George out. I didn't know exactly what I was going to do next. I would have to discuss it with him when I could, but 'till then I just have to be patient.

It was quite different not to be with George after being with him for weeks on end. But he needed to do what he needed to do, and having me present would have made matters worse.

I let out a deep sigh, sitting back down on the couch. I gave out a small sigh of relief when George called for me.

I was met with an exhausted Omega, damp with sweat. "I hate you so much," he panted.

I let out a laugh. "Alright, sure you do."

He shook his head. "Will you help? I'm too tired to clean up..." I shook my head, heading to the Omega.

As soon as all was done, the exhausted Omega passed out, which was perfectly understandable.

~George's P.O.V~

Relief, for once, something that I wasn't sure existed anymore. I was just trying to live my life as normal, but it was hard when you were being constantly bothered by an Alpha trying to get you to do things. I know he was only trying to make sure I was taken care of before Hell came back. I basically I had this constant shadow following me, telling me to eat and crap.

He finally left me alone once I downed some food and water, making him believe I was okay. As I sat down, Clay followed, letting out an exhausted sigh.

"We need to talk about my father..."

I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms. "What is there to talk about? I'm not doing shit."

Clay shook his head. "George, we might not have a choice here..."

I quickly shook my head, shrinking from the thought. "There's always a choice, Clay. We have made our decision."

The Alpha looked down, his eyes on the ground. "We have to do something. My father will beat us both if we don't."

I thought about it for a moment before Clay spoke again.

"I have an idea. Are you able to go out?"

I glanced at the Alpha, quickly turning my eyes to the left to think. "I think so, I mean, I'm human again."

He nodded. "Alright, let's go get something that I think can help."

As much as I didn't want to leave the safety of my nest, I knew it would be better to try.

I followed behind the Alpha out the door and to the car. He opened the door for me and I climbed into the passenger seat. I sat restlessly as we drove, bouncing my leg and constantly checking out my window. I didn't know where Clay was taking me, but in my recent state it didn't seem like the best time to be going places.

When we arrived, he let me out of the car and gave me a word of warning.

"Try to stay close. Alphas these days can get a bit wild. No pun intended,"  he chuckled to diffuse the stress.

When we arrived at were we needed to go, I was rushed with various smells, both strong and weak. The Alpha seemed very uncomfortable with the overwhelming smells. Luckily for me, Clays dominant scent out ruled all the others.

The Beta sitting at the counter didn't seem what you would call 'pleased' with the smell but it's not like she can tell a Lead Alpha what to do. They were in charge.

"Can I help you?" The Beta was visibly nervous, it's not like she had ever been face to face with a Lead Alpha-- it's rare to even see one in public.

Clay looked around, ignoring the Beta.

I had begun to follow Clay again when the ignored Beta called out to me. I turned to her, curious.

"Are you an Omega?" she asked curiously, her head angled toward the right. I blinked, taken a bit aback by the question, and replied curtly.

"Yes, I am. Why?"

"Nothing. Just curious..."

Clay walked back over, letting out an intimidating growl of warning. "Leave him alone and step back."

The Beta shied away, showing submission towards the Alpha. He grabbed my arm, pulling me away from the Beta. It's not like I would blame him, I'm technically still in my heat. Clay would naturally be very protective during this stage.

Most of the small scents were new to me, I haven't really been out of the house for most of my life anyway.

Clay was inspecting a few products, then grabbed one and turned to me. "I got what we need, let's go." I almost fell as Clay pulled my wrist to make me come with him, but I regained my balance and followed to the exit.

Clay let go of my wrist after I tugged it back. As I followed him, I felt as if someone was watching me. Is it that I was just paranoid or was someone actually following me?

I yelped as I was grabbed by my wrist from behind. Clay twisted around face to face with the trying Alpha. He was slightly smaller than Clay.

Clay scowled, holding my other wrist. "What do you think you're doing?" He spoke in a low, agitated voice.

The other Alpha smirked. "Hello, Dream."

He knew this alpha?

"Dream!" I screeched.

"Let go!" Clay snapped.

"Your father told me that you weren't being a very good Alpha," he chuckled, his tight grip making my wrist ache.

"Gibson, it's none of your damn business!" Clay screamed at the smaller.

"Why did it have to be you to claim the only male Omega? And you won't even mate him?"

Clay scoffed. "I will mate him! Just not now!"

I flinched, casting my gaze downward at Clay's words. I knew that I would hear it eventually, but it still made me uncomfortable, and I let it show. He shot me an apologetic look, and my body responded with involuntarily shifting to a wolf and skidding to hide behind Clay. He shifted as well and let out a low growl.

The smaller also shifted to join the group. Clay barred his teeth.

I knew a fight would break out. Alphas always tend to fight over Omegas, especially over me since I'm rare.

Clay lunged at the smaller, flipping him onto his back and roughly pinning him against the dirt, creating a dust cloud.

The smaller smirked up at Clay. "Oh Dream... You'll never stop being such a let down, will you? If anyone is going to be the next lead, it's going to be me. You don't stand a chance."

Clay bit into its neck. The smaller laid limp, no longer struggling in his grip. "Leave me and my Omega alone! You hear me?" He yelled at the weaker Alpha, but he just smirked.

Clay bit into him harder, causing him to yelp.

"Fine! fine! Let me go!" he whined, scrabbling to let go.

When Clay released the smaller, he scrambled to his feet, glaring at us. We thought he would walk away but he took a sharp turn, grabbing onto my scruff.

"DREAM!" I yelled, yelping. Clay growled, threatening the smaller. The smaller pinned me to the ground.

The smell, it was horrible. I gaged. "Let him go!" Clay yelled, but didn't move.

Why was he standing still?

The other smirked. "Sorry Dream, it seems you need my assistance with this job...."
