𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒.

"Eren Jaeger, come on," You thought to yourself, your eyes widening subtly as you didn't know if you could maintain being planted beside him for a few hours. You weren't really educated on what his personality was like, but what you knew was he was someone many girls were fond of. Girls threw themselves at him, smiling each time as they yearned to be in his company, and tend to his every need. You didn't know how fond of him you were, as you had walked in on his lips interlocked with another girls in a bathroom.

It bothered you having someone occupy the seat located beside you. As selfish as it may have seemed, you valued your peace more than many others would know. So that peace being tarnished, altered your mood for the day, as focusing became harder than it normally was. Being in the comfort your own body provided you, was all that helped you push through the day, as you were alone.

"Why is she sitting next to Eren?" Some girl loudly whispered to her friend with a clear tinge of jealousy swirling within her agitated tone as she stared at you, her gaze darkening as she spoke.

You were not going to allow yourself to be belittled by a girl in who you had no recollection of. You didn't value her words, yet you felt as if you needed to say a few words as girls like that were in need of humbling. One hookup with this man and they were possessive. You held a deep sense of hatred for girls who got mad over something that wasn't in your control.

"If you wanna sit next to Eren just say so, I didn't ask to sit here." You deadpanned, your tone soft, yet one so intimidating as you remained there, leaning back on your chair slightly as your eyes locked with her own.

Her porcelain cheeks were blanketed over with a deep crimson hue from the embarrassment that washed over her average physique. You chuckled, feeling amused that you had been the reason for her growing embarrassed at a minor thing that she had no right to be embarrassed over. Girls who got jealous over a seating plan were the lowest type of people. They were all so pretty, yet filled with venom. Venom they were willing to pierce people with, in order to attain their corrupt goal.

Eren finally sat down beside you. Not uttering a single word as his dim jade eyes locked upon your own subtly. His eyes remained interlocked with your own for a brief second before he sat in his seat beside you, slouching slightly as he glanced at the teacher, paying attention to what she had to say. You turned your head, observing the way his body moved lightly from the way he breathed. His chest rose up and down softly as he threw his head back lightly before repositioning himself.

Whilst that occurred, you watched as all the girls set their eyes on him. A few of them grew crimson from such a sight, whilst you were trying to level your breathing, as such an act had caught you off guard slightly. It wasn't because you were flustered, rather because you were uncomfortable by the way he moved. It seemed Eren had noticed this too, causing him to slightly move away from you as he could sense how uncomfortable you had grown. He could hear your foot tap vigorously against the wooden ground, attempting to calm yourself down from how close he once was, and how he moved so freely nearby you.

Though time had barely passed, he began to start a conversation with you, politely asking for a pencil as he had grown bored of the teacher's voice booming into the canal of his ears. He wanted something to relieve his boredom as he didn't want to become a distraction. As he knew, once he got distracted, he knew he wouldn't be able to focus properly again. He was hesitant to communicate with you, but once he saw you had calmed down from how uncomfortable you were, he decided to attempt to communicate with you.

He turned around facing you slightly, his lips parting as he attempted to ready himself to start a conversation with you. He finds himself glancing at you for a while, unable to pull away as he couldn't unearth the words he wanted to use when speaking to you. He found himself oddly stuck, his brain unable to wire itself to do as he pleased. Maybe it was because he already found himself distracted, he was zoning out in front of you now.

"Is there something on my face?" You asked, growing nervous at how long his eyes remained lingering on your face. You felt as if you were being analysed by his eyes. He had no shame when it came to checking you out.

You weren't one to get nervous over stuff like this, but it was the intensity of his gaze that had set you off. You didn't react on the outside, but on the inside, you felt hyper-aware of what was going on, feeling his eyes roam every aspect of your face as you sat there. A part of you didn't want to sit by him, endure the eagerness in his gaze, it made you feel weirded out — you didn't like how he stared with no remorse, he didn't even consider the fact that staring at someone for a long period of time was off-putting.

"No." He bluntly answered, his eyes trailing off to the window beside you.

"Then why are you staring at me?" You asked curiously, your eyes averting to the window as you faced away from him.

"You're beautiful, that's why," He spoke, his gaze refocusing on you as his fingers tapped the desk lightly as he hummed to himself.

"Thanks," You replied bluntly, eyes still locked onto the window as he gazed at you.

What was he attempting to gain from you? He called you beautiful, but for what. You knew it was a compliment, but it came out of the blue, making you slightly uncomfortable as you weren't used to just being complimented by someone like this. You weren't fond of the words that slipped by his lips with ease, you just couldn't figure out how he didn't have any shame with saying what came to his incomprehensible mind. It was as if it was solely for a stupid reaction from you, as nobody was ever straight up when it comes to being around someone you've barely interacted with. But people are different, well that's not a good excuse in itself.

Eren continued to talk to you, his eyes not failing to meet your own as he made small talk, easing the uncomfortable tension between the both of you. He observed as you turned to the window, shifting in your seat uncomfortably to maintain space between the two of you. He felt somewhat bad for making you rather uncomfortable next to him. But it seemed that you shifting in your seat, anxiously, was because a group of envious girls were scrutinising the two of you, their gazes weighed on you as you tried to concentrate, diverting your attention away from him to attract less attention.

"Are they making you feel uncomfortable?" Eren asks, glancing at the side of your face, unable to concentrate on the work in front of him. Eren desired to know what it was that edged you away from him, he felt as if he wouldn't be comfortable if he didn't know. After all, you were going to be sitting next to each other for a year. He wasn't the type to be so persistent, but you were physically tense, unable to bring yourself to grow calm by the window beside you. "Yeah,"

Eren's unable to decide what to do, he didn't know how to handle your sudden bluntness towards him, he wasn't used to being by someone as blunt as you were. He knew he was blunt and somewhat awkward himself, but the people who sat beside him did the talking, not him, he just fitted himself to join into the conversation. But you, you made it harder for him to communicate with the tense silence between the two of you. "You want me to tell them to stop staring?"

"If you want, you can. I doubt they'll stop though," You say, shrugging. Eren nods his head, glancing at the girls for a brief second, suppressing their jealousy in seconds as he expressed an uninterested expression, causing them to turn away from him and you. "Done,"

"Thanks, I guess," You bluntly say, moving your black notebook to be more in your own section as he moved closer to you, settling his stuff down.

"Can I have a pencil?" He asked softly, his eyes lingering on your face once more. He wasn't into engaging with you anymore as he wanted you to focus on your own tasks, yet he continued on, realising the conversation required two people, so you seemed ok with being distracted.

"What if I don't have one?" You challenged, watching as his face grew displeased from the question that departed from your soft lips.

"I saw you with one," He let out, his head cocking to the side as he continued to stare at you with no shame.

You wondered why he was so fixated on making eye contact with you, belittling you in a sort of way. How did he not pick up on the fact that the longing look in his eyes made you feel some what uncomfortable? You were barely even able to glance at him for a brief second, as you knew his eyes were going to be on you. He remained glaring at you as if you were something he desired, or as if you had something he wanted. A part of you wanted to glare at him in the way he glared at you, with an unpleased expression, hoping he would distance his eyes from your face.

"Here. Take it." You rolled the pencil over to his section of the table, he stopped it with the large palm of his hand, pulling out a piece of paper from his jet black notepad. He began to draw things, just to keep himself entertained for the time being.

"What are you drawing?" You asked, pinching the bridge of your nose as you closed your eyes.

You couldn't help but find yourself begin to grow somewhat agitated as he continues to stare at you, making it harder for you to move freely. You just wanted to feel comfortable within your seat, have nothing bother you as you got on with your course work. But there was no silence with Eren by you, attempting to distract himself from what seemed to be his own mind. The man couldn't even focus for five minutes, his mind seemed so chaotic, he had to do something in order to relieve what seemed to be his thoughts. You weren't one to predict others' situations, but he seemed to fall in that category. For some reason, he seemed to remind you of an old friend you once had. You once had a friend whose mind was rather chaotic, but it had been years since you had last seen him. The last time you saw him, he was a child. He was roughly the age of ten; he had brown hair and viridian eyes.

"You." He boldly stated, staring at you as he ran his tongue along his bottom lip gently.

How were you supposed to feel about this?

"Why are you drawing me?" you mumbled out, slightly facing the window direction. You didn't hate your face as much, but sometimes you didn't want to be seen like this.

"I don't know, I'm bored," Eren explained, his eyes scanning each one of your features as he jotted them down on the plain white paper entwined within his fingers.

"Draw someone else," You bluntly stated, sighing lightly as his gaze remained drawn to your face, examining your beautiful features as he drew, disregarding the fact that you were becoming hot from his gaze resting on you for so long.

"No. I wanna draw you, sweetheart, " He stated, slightly whispering as he inched closer to you, his side grazing against your own as he pulled himself in closer than he should have. His large body sunk into the chair he occupied, searching for a more comfortable angle before he began drawing your side profile, instead of focusing on the class that went on.

Eren gently swivelled around, looking around the classroom to find someone. You didn't know what he was searching for, but the more you followed his gaze, the more he seemed to be glancing at Armin and Mikasa, who sat next to each other, exchanging notes to expand their knowledge on the subject. His eyes never left them as his calloused hands ran across the slick brown table. Your gaze couldn't tear from what he was gazing at as you wanted to know. You grew curious, curious to the point you had to know what he was glaring at.

"You done staring at me yet?" He chuckled lightly, his deep voice booming through your ears as he turned back to you, a light smirk painted over his cherry tinted lips.

"I wasn't staring at you, but those girls are," You bluntly stated, shrugging him off as you began to look out the window once more, your eyes averting to the pond where ducks laid, peacefully slumbering in such a calm environment. No human lingered in their presence, distracting them, they only had the company of their pack.

Eren turned his head, looking at a group of girls, smirking, resulting in all of them having an evidently visible scarlet hue hugging the base of their cheeks. You observed the look on their face as he only stared at them for a few seconds, before he turned back to you, mere words bound to slip from his soft lips.

"Here, take," Eren mumbled, handing you the drawing of your side profile.

"𝑔𝑖𝑟𝑙 𝑦𝑜𝑢'𝑟𝒆 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑒𝑐𝑡" Those words were engraved on the sheet of paper, causing your stomach to soften slightly, but the words Jean let out all came back to you,' he'll only just play you,' those words guided you back to the pained reality. A guy so calculated when he wanted something from you, something so painfully obvious.

You admired his work of art, letting out a faint smile at the odd gesture. You knew it was somewhat cringe, but you couldn't help but bring yourself to appreciate it — it was well drawn, he had a really beautiful art style. Thank you was all that left your lips as you placed the small piece of paper into your hoodie pocket, averting your attention from him now. You averted your gaze onto the teacher, who remained drawing on the chalkboard, elaborating on certain tasks in order for the class to complete in their own time. You now stopped paying attention to Eren completely, and he did the same with you, allowing a calming silence to wash over the two of you.

A mere hour had passed. You departed from the classroom, glancing at Eren once more before you left, pondering on the interaction you both shared with one another. It was kind, yet it seemed as if he had a motive, a motive you had no acknowledgement of. You snapped out of the seemingly forbidden thoughts, readying yourself to regroup with Sasha and the others.

You walked outside of the classroom, to search for your friends waiting outside for you; it was finally time to go home. You couldn't wait to go home with Sasha and pick up on the series you had both started. They all waved at you as your presence became more visible. You picked up your pace, matching their own as they slowly began to walk forward as you had arrived.

Sasha stopped in the middle of nowhere, scanning the premises, attempting to decide where it was she wanted to go. She wanted to make her own decision, no trace of influence detectable.

"Sasha, what are you doing?" You mumbled, confused at the sudden movement she made.

"Going to the usual place," She uttered, her soft doe eyes maintaining eye contact with your face as she puffed out her cheeks, before enclosing the air she had trapped inside the spacing of her mouth.

"The bakery?" You inquired, your tone entwined with a sense of confusion as you questioned her, waiting for the answer she would provide you with.

"I guess we can go. how bad can it be?" Connie abruptly stated, sewing himself within the conversation as you and Sasha both spoke to one an other. Connie trailed his hands through his barely evident hair, deeply sighing as the both of you made a decision.

The bakery came into view as you walked further down the street, alongside Sasha, whilst Connie and Jean trailed along behind you two, chuckling lightly at the dimmest things many would rarely deem as funny. Sasha turned to you, a suspicious smile plastered onto her features as she parted her lips, allowing words to slip through.

"Hey, Y/n," She spoke, her tone loud, yet unreadable as she glanced at you. "Yes?" You answered back, confusion laced within your tone as you spoke up, glaring at her.

"I saw you and Eren getting close back there," She hummed, a light smile blooming on her face as she glared at you. Her eyes told a story far different from the words that had left her soft lips. In a sense, you were partially scared of her in the moment, as her intentions were unknown. Uneasy, you still rested your eyes upon her, smiling awkwardly as her eyes regained the light that had once died out.

"Same." Jean and Connie spoke, their tones slightly worrying as they too had witnessed the way the both of you had interacted with one an other. Your encounter seemed less friendly than many had expected, it seemed as if the both of you were merely flirting to an obvious degree, though it seemed oblivious to you.

"He just asked for a pencil. He was the one who was talking to me." You stated, picking up your pace as you were worried about how they had perceived the situation. Sasha's eyes lingered with an emotion you wasn't familiar with. Though she herself had not picked up on the fact her eyes had changed, you had, and you had not a mere clue on how to decipher such a look.

The local bakery was insight and you entered inside, along with the others. Sasha and you instantly went to order sweet treats you were both really fond of. Jean and Connie went to sit in a booth you all would go to whenever you visited. Many people knew you guys sat there, so they left the booth free, acknowledging the fact that you guys practically owned the corner in a sense.

You and Sasha ordered the treats you all wanted. You paid for her and the others before walking over to the table Jean and Connie sat at. You placed the treats onto the table before you sat down, making sure to be stuck in a corner. They all thanked you, taking a few treats out of the bag as they began to eat.

You began to scroll on your phone as you found yourself bored. You switched to Instagram, checking your friends feeds as you ate. Mikasa and Armin had posted a picture with Eren and you couldn't help but view the tags on the photo. The three of them were in a dark setting, sitting on a bench in the midst of night. The sky in the image was an ink-poisoned hue, not a single slither of colour was evident from what you could depict. The background was blurred, yet their faces were evidently noticeable, despite the blur.

You clicked on Eren's tag, being instantly sent to his profile. His profile picture consisted of himself in a selfie. He had a large following, he had roughly around 500k followers on Instagram. Your eyebrows perked up subtly as you observed such a sight. You scrolled through his page, only to see a few images of himself in black and white. The aesthetic of his page, you found pleasing. You went to click on his story, yet ending up clicking the following button instead.

You panicked slightly, your eyes widening as the realisation had sunken within you. You went to unfollow his page, but it seemed he had beat you to it, as he had followed you, obliterating the opportunity to unfollow his page.

'ErenJaeger has requested to follow you. You sighed to yourself, thinking of all the potential issues that were bound to occur, but you accepted anyway, pinching the bridge of your nose as you had accepted your mistake.
