However then Santviento decided to make his move he leaped out of the vent fast than a bullet as you moved your head away just in time eyes wide.
However he slipped into the body of an unfortunate soldier as he screamed in agony.
"It is Santviento!!" They exclaimed as the soldier turned around calling out for his superior in panic:"Major von Stroheim what is happening? It is so dark! I cannot see anything!" He yelled his eyes were pulled inside his head, it was horrifying to watch. "Why did you turn the lights off?" He continued stumbling around aimlessly as the others backed away from him.
"Santviento crawled into the soldier's body!" Speedwagon gritted out as you observed their reactions.
"Where is everybody? Do not leave me here all alone!" The man pleaded hunching over as suddenly his body began to deform itself, he started to transform into an unsightly obese monster! "I am not sure what is going on....but I have never felt to refreshed!" He shouted maniacally as you moved back to protect Speedwagon.
If this creature escapes it could threaten even the great fatherland, Stroheim realized. We must destroy it. It has to be killed here and now! He clenched his fist. "Very well shoot him! Blast that soldier's body to pieces!" He commanded.
"Stop there is no use-!" You screamed but they did not listen, shooting at the obese monster in front of them with all they got.
"That tickles!" He laughed losing his mind before falling to the ground. Everybody watched in silence as the man began to crawl.
"He is alive!!" They yelled panicking at the sight. "A machine gun won't kill it!!"
"I knew it." You mumbled working on Speedwagon's restraints only to see you would need more time without hurting your friend, time which you currently did not have at hand. Even Stroheim was paralyzed.
"What a monster." He whispered as it stood up pointing his finger at the soldiers.
"What is he pointing at?" One questioned, sweat ticking down their faces. "What does that mean?"
"Wait! It is almost if he pointing a pistol. Is he imitating us?" Stroheim calmed down slightly. "The only thing he said was my name. He is just mimicking us! It is just mindless aping. That means he is not intelligent after all! If he is only as smart as a monkey perhaps we can still use him!"
"You idiot! Stop that right now, he will kill you all if you keep up that attitude sissy!" You warned him as the monsters jaw fell to the ground as he started to form a sentence:"Are you the ones...who ...disturbed my slumber?"
"He spoke!!" Stroheim backed away in fear.
"He is capable of thought and his intelligence is great." Speedwagon spoke up. "He learned our speech in this short time!"
"Die..." Santviento spoke pointing his finger at one of the soldiers, firing a bullet from the tip fo his finger in incredible speed, rivaling a gun, killing him instantly.
"He is taking the bullets they shot at him and is firing them back at them." You analyzed, getting ready to protect Speedwagon, not sure of the extend of his powers, giving Joseph a sign to act.
"Hey old man! Hide over there!" He spoke with an obviously fake German accent. "He still has got more bullets to fire!"
"No I do not need any help from a German soldier!" Speedwagon protested.
"Good heavens." Joseph sighed moving in front of him standing next to you. "You never change! Still stubborn at times like this." You only laughed at that, but stopped immediately as Santviento jumped out of the corpse.
"Wait he is actually quite handsome!!" You gushed checking him out.
"Yes you are right Y/N, let's beat him up- WAIT WHAT!!!" Joseph screamed in shock as you ran shoving the soldiers and scientists out of the way to get to Stroheim, grabbing his hair much to his annoyance.
"Hey I need some of your hair! Just a clump or two! I hope you don't mind Major!" You winked as Speedwagon and Joseph could not really comprehend what you just did.
"YEEOUCH! What are you doing?!" Stroheim complained.
"It will only hurt for a bit." You yanked his hair out.
"HOW DARE YOU-"
"Then try me bitch-"You replied sending chills down his spine.
"I know this voice who are you?" Speedwagon questioned Joseph. "It could not be.....Y/N would never have allowed you to follow her! You are; Joseph Joestar!"
You meanwhile send Hamon through Major Stroheim's hair creating a barrier:"HAMON HAIR ATTACK!!"
Santviento shot every one of the soldiers and scientist with utmost precision as you deflected the bullets, shielding Joseph, Speedwagon and to your dismay Stroheim.
"Your hair is a bit fry I have to say Major. If you do not moisture you will be bald one day Mr German Army man." You chuckled after Santviento finished his attack.
When did the both of you get here?" Speedwagon inquired in disbelief.
"Hey uncle!" Joseph mock saluted as Santviento picked up Stroheim's hair curiously. "Like I said before the security is really lousy..." You answered.
"H-hair..." Santviento mumbled to himself. He was just so precious, like a child. Your godmother senses kicking in.
"Anyhow what a scene I have dropped in on." Joseph said taking off the tight jacket revealing his birthmark: A purple star.
Jojo vs Santviento
"Jojo. So you are Jojo?" Stroheim asked. "Listen Jojo. That Pillar Man Santviento uses the mask to turn people into vampires. Seems he makes them stronger so he can feed on them. He is a grave threat! He must be destroyed!" Stroheim exclaimed as Joseph she of his jacket.
"Careful Jojo!" Speedwagon warned.
"Jojo! Don't you dare hurt his face!" You screamed as he looked at you irritated.
"Y/N please this is not the time to fawn over our enemy." Speedwagon tried s you shut him up.
"Jealous~" You teased as he blushed red.
Carefully Jojo walked up to Santviento only to touch his nose, jumping away excited. "TAG!!" He grinned. "You were talking a minute ago right? The strong silent type eh? Hello? Ever thought of modeling? Come one Y/N would surely love to see you smile. Nice to meet you man!" Joseph started enthusiastically as you smiled warmly at him. "Come on show me a smile! Together: Three four! Happy!! Fun!! Show me those pearly whites!"
"So Jojo what in God's name are you doing?" Speedwagon screeched.
"Well I thought he might be a nice guy. However I am still Y/N's favorite. Right Y/N??... ... Y/N? ..." He looked at you but you were not paying attention to him.
"Ähm, cough, cough I am testing him I do not think it is right to assume that guy is bad before getting the chance to know him, but one wrong move or getting too close with Y/NI will beat the crap out of him!" He announced smugly looking at you for confirmation but you were still staring at Santviento, it really annoyed Joseph.
"Do not be an idiot!" Stroheim shouted. "Look around he murdered all my men!"
"Oh please shut up." You interfered. "You reap what you sow you were experimenting on him! And blasting him with machine guns bonehead. Good grief....Besides Joseph and I are only here to take Speedwagon back home. We have no reason to fight him, yet. He is like a small child isn't he?" You turned to Joseph flashing him a smile as he sighed in relief.
Thank heavens she only sees him as a child, well more a giant muscular child...Joseph sweatdropped.
"Now everyone! Let's have fun!" Joseph celebrated childishly as Santviento passed the brunette without reacting to his words at all, he was ignoring him!
"What is his problem? It is like he is completely ignoring me. Now I am annoyed. Okay then I will just stick my foot out and trip him!" Joseph mumbled as you shoot your head in disappointment.
However as Joseph went to trip him with Hamon Santviento's foot deformed itself avoiding the attack completely ad continued walking towards you as if nothing happened.
"What the hell?" Joseph landed on his butt perplexed. "That was the strangest sensation and it hurt!"
Santviento stopped in front of you:"...You are not...male." He muttered quietly as your eyes widened. "Could...it be that you are...female?" He cocked his head to the side as you clapped your hands in amazement.
"Yes Santviento you are awesome!" You hugged him patting his head like a little child. "You are just so precious."
Everyone's eyes widened in surprise as you lead him to the weapons lying on the floor, starting to take them apart in front of his eyes.
"That is new...what is this tool?" He inspected it.
"That is a gun Santviento." You responded and he nodded.
"He spoke! He does understand us! Somehow he has mastered our language!" Speedwagon stuttered as he finished taking apart the gun and you applauded him.
"He took apart that gun like an expert clockmaker!" Joseph screamed in disbelief.
"Soldiers take hours to master that in training!" Stroheim revealed sweating.
"His intelligence is incredible!" Speedwagon realized in fear. "Y/N, stay away from him!"
"So bright! I have never seen such light." Santviento shielded his eyes from the bright light of lamps.
"This lamp functioned due to electricity. It helps us to see better in the dark." You explained ignoring Speedwagon's pleas.
"Listen pal!" Joseph addressed Santviento standing directly behind him. "If you can understand our language then how about responding?" You could tell the young Joestar was angry. "knock knock?" He poked him and started to pull his ears after not getting any form of reply.
"Jojo stop!" Speedwagon and Stroheim screamed.
"You irritate me primitive." Santviento stated as his rips deformed to attack him.
"What the..." You shouted ready to defend Joseph. He used his Hamon to protect himself as he crashed with the ceiling, spitting out blood.
"Santviento! What have you done?" You ran over to Joseph to check on the groaning male, healing him with your stand.
"Sparks?" Sasntviento noticed confused pulling back his rips. "Who are those humans? My body did not absorb his, he was repelled. His leg appears fine and she is able to heal him, she...Y/N....I have never seen such humans. Are they a unique specimen? Are all humans now the same?" Santviento moved over to Speedwagon to test his theory ramming his fingers in his head.
"No they are unique." Santviento realized. "And Y/N...she seems even more..Interesting than the other...I feel she is older...Is she like us?"
"Jojo, Y/N! Help it is horrible!" Speedwagon cried out as you helped Joseph to stand up.
"Santviento. If you harm my friend I promise I will end you." You threatened.
"Bastard....Let go of my uncle!" Joseph shouted. "Now I am ready to fight, Y/N could you please be my back up, but I want to try this one for myself. I will have him mounted in a museum!"
"Of course Joseph, I won't hold you back." You answered sarcastically.
"Y/N you are like...us. Humans have evolved...slightly." Santviento said calmly.
"Get ready for a deluge of Hamon." Joseph leaped at him punching Santviento in the stomach however of dealing damage it was being deflected.
"My Hamon... the blood on the floor." Joseph noticed. "The Hamon is not working! It is like water off a raincoat. Hamon is flowing towards the ground and reacting with the blood! His skin is just like Straizo's scarf. It is an electrical ground!"
"Joseph need help?" You asked from the sidelines. "No thanks Y/N, I am doing fine!" Joseph gritted out as you only shrugged your shoulders.
"My body...is reacting with his." Santviento realized as suddenly Joseph pulled away from Santviento, hi hand gpone!
"my fist it's...." He popped up his hand counting his fingers. "Just a little joke." He laughed as you face palmed. Joseph and his nerves of steel always continued to amuse you.
"That was unnecessary." You commented.
"Well I bent my hand inward at the wrist just in the nick of time! But I am in serious pickle he is immune to Hamon, Y/N? Do you have some ideas?" Joseph was being serious again as you spoke up calming him down.
"That is not entirely true Joseph. Your Hamon is just a bit too weak to injure him." You smiled evilly as his shocked expression.
"Well beside this fact, your Hamon is also protecting you. It keeps his body from eating you. I cold take over or you try t least to steady your breathing. For tips please stay calm?" You tried nervously. "I am sure you figure out."
"Fool! What do you do when you eat a poisonous putter fish? You kill it then remove the toxin." Stroheim shouted. "That is all the Hamon is to kill Santviento!"
"Just shut your trap and watch. I do not like to repeat myself Major it is a waste of breath. If you would actually shut up, you would be a cutie yourself." You silenced him "Hamon is still deadly if applied the right way, Joseph's Hamon is still developing, I kind of feel bad now for not training him beforehand but I am sure he is the type to learn through experience. Come on Jojo do not make me interfere!" You laughed.
"Of course. I just think of something fast. You go and try again to free Speedwagon's restraints."
You nodded, winking "Of course, Joseph." You moved over to Speedwagon.
"Hey old friend. How have you been holding up?" You chuckled at his aghast face.
"Please Y/N this is not the time for small talk!" He whimpered as you snickered working on the leather strips.
When I bring out back to New York you have to apologize to Erina, she is worried sick."
"Wasn't it your fault for not well COMING WITH ME IN THE FIRST PLACE?!" You only scratched your neck sheepishly.
"You must not allow Santviento to escape!" Stroheim screamed on the top of his lungs. "He is a threat to humankind."
"Quit spouting off as if you had nothing to do with this. You think I need more pressure?!" Joseph saw Santviento approaching so he took the knife between toes. "I will sink this knife into you and send Hamon directly through it." Joseph declared as you face palmed. Who in their right mind would o around telling their next move?
Of course Santviento took advantage of Joseph's announcement.
"His skin is wrapping around it like rubber!" Joseph exclaimed. "But can you dodge this? If I cannot get you through your skin. I will send Hamon through your eyes." He went to ram his toes in his eyes but Santviento evaded that attack too. You were getting a bit impatient with the restraints, until just deciding to rip it.
"What even his eyes are like rubber?!"
"No Jojo get out of here!" Speedwagon screamed as Santviento delivered a hard kick into Josephs abdomen."Jojo!"
"Joseph!" You shouted. "Need help?"
"He won't be able to breath after a hit like that." Stroheim exclaimed as you gritted your teeth ripping off the last restraints in a hurry.
"Breathing....energy from blood. While unconscious he is an ordinary man." Santviento stated starting to absorb him.
"Jojo use your Hamon breathing! Y/N, do something!!" Speedwagon yelled as you could not help but laugh.
"Joseph you are a genius. Everybody see that this is my student!!"
"Y/N, have you gone mad?" Speedwagon trembled.
"No need to panic." Joseph smirked already half devoured by Santviento. "I bet big< Attacks from the outside are no good so I am going in! I will blast him with Hamon while he eats. I was actually waiting for him to try this! This is perfect." He used Hamon breathing, his body giving off the familiar yellow glow. "TAKE THIS!! HAMON!!!"
Santviento's lower body was ripped off torn into shreds as Joseph was breathing heavily.
"Good work Joseph!" You cheered hugging Speedwagon in joy. "Joseph is amazing. A great student one of the best I had until now. I am so proud!!" But it was not over yet.
"...I finally know... after hiding inside that horrific body of his, I figured out how he digests his victims." Joseph panted. "His cells expel digestive fluid to devour the cells of his prey. That is why it looks as if he is merging and absorbing them. I am only safe because I sent Hamon into him as he tried to dissolve me!"
"You did well Joseph." You praised. "However your Hamon is still weak. It was not enough to destroy Santviento. Shall I do the finishing blow or do you want to?"
"I would like to finish what I started." He replied weakly as you nodded.
Then Santviento's upper body went to move but Joseph tied him down with an iron chain.
"So you are trying to gather your body parts to rebuild, eh?" You asked. "You know Joseph?"
"Yes I learned from the time I battled Straizo, by the way thanks for the grenades. Von Stroheim!" He threw his boot at them Major gaining his attention.
"Pay attention! Does sunlight hurt him too?" You asked pouting" You asked.
"YES! " He snapped out of it. "It was written on the walls of the cave. He is vulnerable to the sun." He confirmed your suspicion. "He made the masks to conquer the sun!" He recalled.
"And you remember it only now?" You raised your eyebrows running over to the heavy iron door slamming it open without any trouble. Usually it would have taken a lot of effort to open it even for the strongest man but there you stood proudly acting as if it was nothing. Thankfully Joseph nodded at you dragging Santviento up the stairs.
"What are you doing Y/N? This door leads outside!" Stroheim shouted panicking.
"I did it to unleash the monster." You answered calmly. "OF COURSE NOT!! Santviento's greatest weakness is sunlight so why not let him get a healthy dose of it." You laughed going over to Speedwagon helping him stand up slowly.
"Y/N why did you let Jojo go by himself. He has not trained with Hamon so the battle has exhausted him. Don't you think the Pillar Man will take advantage of him?" Speedwagon stood up wobbly as a shadow cast over your face.
"I do not know. But I have trust in Joseph; there will be times in his life where I am not by his side. You know me Speedwagon I do not like being tied down, I love to travel I usually stay only a few years in one country before traveling to the next, which does not mean that I won't return. But it seems I attract too many dangers so does the Joestar family so I made a promise to Jonathan during his day of marriage. I promised him to watch over his family, I promised and I have never broken an oath before. Santviento spoke about I am like them. Who are they? Are there others like him? With a high possibility of being stronger? Joseph has to learn from battle for now, I am sure I give my best to protect him but he wants to stand on his own too. I respect that, I admire the willpower of the Joestars' throughout the generations and I hope it will never fade. But I cannot help but worry. What if I could not rescue him like the same time when Jonathan was surprised by Dio? I do not want that to happen. I am scared Speedwagon." You mumbled leaning onto him for support.
"Hush Y/N. You know Joseph is not Jonathan, he is stronger than his grandfather, I am sure with your guidance he will be able to face danger head on and prevail. So I believe Joseph sometimes feels like a burden, he does not want to hold you back to tie you down. I think right now he sees this as a chance to prove himself of being worthy of being your friend. Sometimes I feel the same. Everybody around you feels the same, Straizo, Erina, Jonathan, Will Zeppeli...we all wish you happiness Y/N and want to see you happy and safe, we all want to stay by your side so does Joseph. He does not exactly see you as his teacher his mentor but more as family." Speedwagon finished, as you felt really touched by his words. In that moment you noticed the absence of a certain German Major.
"Where did Stroheim wander off to?" You questioned Speedwagon.
"I guess he went to help Joseph." He shrugged his shoulders before his knees buckled.
"Careful my friend." You chuckled. "You really are getting old."
"Y/N OH MY GOD!!! Y/N HELP ME!!" You heard Joseph yell from above as your eyes widened in fear, what was going on up there?
