A million thoughts swarmed around Jungkook's head as he settled in for the night. His arms were draped over his sheets, positioned against his chest as he stared blankly up at his ceiling. There was nothing he could do to calm his anxious mind. Reading, gaming, forcing his eyes closed until he felt a headache begin to split his skull in half. Nothing. Finally, with a sigh of defeat, the brunet rolled out of bed, adjusting his rumpled shirt across his chest before stalking out into the dark hallway.

Without a thought, his feet unconsciously led him next-door to Yumin's room. He rapped lightly on her door, pressing his ear up against the painted wood to see if he could hear any movement from inside. She hadn't gone to bed that long ago; maybe a half hour or so. There were times when Yumin struggled to drift off to sleep, and other times she passed out as soon as her head hit the pillow. The thought brought a listless smile to Jungkook's lips, but there was still no sound from the opposite side of the door. Too tired to bother waiting, the brunet forced his way inside and shut the door quietly behind him.

He inhaled the scent of something floral and earthy that always seemed to linger around Yumin, like petrichor, the smell after a fresh rainfall. Stepping lightly about the floor, Jungkook made his way towards Yumin's bed and slipped beneath the covers, facing her back as he watched her side rise and fall with each breath. He didn't wish to wake her. The fearful thought that she would force him out of her bed once more flashed briefly through his mind as he draped an arm over her waist, hugging her against his chest. All he wanted was to hold Yumin close, but the reminder of the fear and anger that had swirled about her tear-filled gaze that morning brought much pain to his heart.

With a hum, she flipped over to face him, nuzzling her face in the crook of his neck and tugging him closer. Every move was purely out of instinct, the brunette latching on to any form in her sleep so that she could doze safely and comfortably. Jungkook smiled lazily as he let his eyes flutter closed. He drew his hands up and down her back, exposed by the bra Yumin wore to bed that night. Fading bruises littered her entire body, most now long gone from healing, others still visible from hassles she refused to speak of.

Jungkook couldn't help but wonder if any of the marks on her skin were from Rachel.

     Or him...

His heart began to sink to his stomach at the reminder of putting his hands briefly on his girlfriend. The way his hand had jerked up quickly to grip her throat, silencing Yumin's rant as she spat out hateful words in his direction. In the moment he'd touched her and then pulled away, the amount of fear that had engulfed her gaze as her eyes flared wide made shivers run up his spine. Jungkook hadn't meant to hurt her. He was only thinking of a way to silence her and let his own words be heard, but he'd ultimately made things worse.

Softly, Jungkook traced circles against the small of Yumin's back. She leaned into his touch, tangling their limbs together as she unconsciously drew him ever closer. Her brow furrowed in her sleep as if she were dreaming and Jungkook gently kissed away the tension as he trailed his lips down the bridge of her nose. It felt so good to kiss her without anything between them. Without seeing pain reflected in her gaze as she sniffled back tears. After a moment of silent watching, Yumin's eyes began to flutter awake. Her pupils dilated as she gazed up at him through the dark, her limbs retracting to her side of the bed with sluggish movements.

"Jungkook?" she grumbled sleepily, stretching her arms out at her sides. Yumin's shoulder made a loud pop and she sighed with satisfaction.

Jungkook leaned forward to cup the side of her face, drawing imaginary lines along her cheeks that made a faint blush trail under his thumb. Leaning into her pillow, she accepted his affection with closed eyes, groaning softly under her breath as she longed to fall back asleep.

"You can go back to sleep, angel," the brunette murmured in a hushed whisper. "I didn't mean to wake you."

"Why're you here?" Yumin slurred her words listlessly, keeping her eyes shut as they flicked about beneath closed lids. "Aren't you still mad at me?"

"I was never mad at you, Yumin."

"But, I yelled at you." It was as if she were speaking through a cloud of fog, her breath muffled and distant as her comfy bed threatened to lure her back to sleep. "And I hurt your cute little nose."

Jungkook stifled a chuckle, leaning in close to plant a reassuring kiss on her forehead. "I already forgave you for that. I'm not mad at you, I promise."

     "I'm sorry."

     "Yumin."

"I don't care if you forgive me, I'm still sorry, Jungkook."

Gathering the brunette in his arms, Jungkook pulled her against his chest. He rubbed circles against her back as she wrapped her arms around his mid-section and held onto him as tight as her body would let her. He planted chaste kisses along the side of her face, trailing them down to her collar and exposed shoulder. It made Jungkook want to kiss every inch of her body, from her cheeks and lips down her stomach to her thighs until they quivered under his touch. Yumin was the only girl he wanted to do that too; no one else. Not even Rachel, who had taken it upon herself to take such an intimate thing from him of her own accord.

"Do you forgive me?" he whispered against her skin, his eyes flickering softly as they blinked out into the dark, empty room.

"You didn't do anything wrong." Yumin's gentle voice was muffled as she hid her face away in his neck. Her breath wafted down his chest, warming his skin as tingles rushed across his body.

"I did do something wrong. Very wrong. I shouldn't have put my hands on you, Yumin. "

Pulling back, Yumin gathered his face in her delicate hands and brought their lips together. Jungkook hadn't expected something so intimate to occur in such late hours of the night, especially after all the hell they'd gone through, but gradually he leaned into her touch, deepening the kiss with a hum. It hadn't occurred to him how much he missed being pressed so close to someone he loved. The hugs and constant cuddling from his hyungs had been pure bliss after so long without them, but Jungkook wanted more. Rachel had stolen the feeling of excitement from him and replaced it with fear, but he trusted his partners with his life, and he would trust them with his body as well.

After another second, Yumin broke the kiss, pushing her hands back and threading them through his silky hair. "I forgive you, Jungkook. I know you would never actually... You wouldn't hurt me."

Jungkook's heart sunk in his chest as he listened to the doubt lacing her tone. He felt tears prick the back of his eyes as Yumin avoided his gaze, twirling a strand of his hair around her index finger.

"I promise I would never hurt you, Yumin." The brunet didn't think pleading would help, but as his voice began to waver, he felt he might not have any other choice. "You don't actually have to forgive me, but I swear on my life, I would never try and harm you."

Yumin simply blinked up at him, speechless as she gulped down the words lodged in her throat. Jungkook watched her hopefully, feeling his breath catch in his throat and clog his chest like a drain plug.

"I'm not worried about you hurting me, Koo. I know you're not like that."

     "So, you forgive me?"

There was a long pause, and Jungkook awaited the moment where she replied a simple, "No," and rolled over on her bed. But, instead, the brunette drug a finger down his cheek, tracing the curve of his jaw and dips in his collar until she could splay her hand out across his chest.

"One time. One time, and that's it, okay? If something ever happens, and you lash out at me, or even the others, I'm not gonna forgive you. Do you understand me, Jungkook?"

     "I do."

Her response was better than he imagined it to be, but the solidity and the numbness in her voice pained him very much. It was no surprise that she would no longer stand abuse of any kind, even if labeled a mistake, and as Yumin's gaze dropped down to the bed, Jungkook couldn't help but pity the poor girl. Yura had ruined most of her life, and now she was worried he would do the same. "I'm really sorry, Yumin," he mumbled, letting his eyes flutter closed in shame. "I don't want you to think of me like you do Yura."

     "Never."

Yumin's voice grew hard as she brushed his bangs away from his eyes. "I never thought you close to Yura in any way, and I still don't. You're nothing like him. Nothing. Do you hear me?"

Nodding, Jungkook received a kiss on the nose from the brunette. Her words settled him only a bit as she curled up against his chest, running her hands along his shoulder blades and the dips of his muscles. With a murmur against her skin, he beckoned her to fall asleep with him, their eyes shutting soundly as everything buzzed around them in the silence of the night.

_

I woke to the sound of Jungkook's hushed voice mumbling something over the phone. I curled up against his side, draping my leg over his with a grumpy moan. All I wanted was to fall back asleep in his arms and waste the day away in bed, basking in the sun with nothing to bother us. Last night's conversation slowly began flooding back to me, making my brows furrow with guilt. I didn't want Jungkook to think I compared him to Yura in any way; they were nothing alike, not even in the slightest, and Jungkook's one mishap was nothing compared to what Yura had done to me throughout our relationship. Even after it ended.

"Oh-Okay. Thank you, Sejin, really," Jungkook spoke worriedly into the phone, his arm snaking around my shoulders to hold me against him. "I will don't worry... Mhmm. Bye." He hung up the phone with a sigh, dropping it on my nightstand and tilting his head back against his pillow. I watched the muscles in his jaw twitch as he swallowed nervously, an irritated groan slipping from his swollen lips.

"Sejin's not making you come in for work already, is he?" I pondered as I ran my hand across his chest.

He shook his head. "No, but he scheduled an appointment for me this afternoon."

     "And appointment?"

"To see a doctor. Just to get...checked." Jungkook muttered in disgust, trailing his tongue over his bottom lip as he gazed sleepily across the room. The brunet looked utterly worn out and exhausted. Everyone knew he was tired of having to deal with Rachel and the consequences she'd set on him, and all he really wanted was for things to go back to normal. But, it would be a while before that ever happened.

I pushed myself groggily to my hands and stared down at Jungkook with my hair threatening to engulf my face entirely. He blinked up at me softly, his gaze never leaving mine as a somewhat quizzical smile painted itself on his face.

"I can go with you if you want?" I offered.

"I'd like that, angel. Thank you."

With a smile, I nodded, leaning close to press our lips together for a brief moment. It felt nice just to be able to lay close to Jungkook again, let alone kiss him. With a deep chuckle, he drew me closer to catch my upper lip between his, forcing my hips down against the bed so that I just about collapsed on top of him. The kiss grew almost desperate, Jungkook letting out hushed groans under his breath as I ran my hand up his chest and neck to cup the side of his face. When I pulled away, he hummed softly, his gaze almost pleading as he stared up at me.

"What's the matter?" I giggled, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear.

Jungkook didn't reply. He rolled us to the side, drawing my hips closer until I was pressed up against him, his lips crashing against mine as he continued to keen from above. A warm streak blossomed above my pelvis, making me melt in his arms with a hushed moan. Slowly, Jungkook kissed his way down my neck, pausing to mark my skin until it grew almost purple under his lips. My eyes rolled into the back of my head as I tilted away to allow him better access, the brunet running his hands along my bared stomach.

"You're the only girl, Yumin. The only one I get to mark, okay? No one else but you."

"Jungkook," I whimpered. I wanted him to force me against the bed and pant in my ear that he was mine. Over and over again. I wanted to moan back that I belonged to him and that I was his only angel. He was mine, not Rachel's. "Koo."

      "All yours, kitten. That's right."

I inched closer to him so I could press my lips against his neck, sucking harshly until I elicited a pretty moan from his throat. His once fair skin was now littered with purple and red bruises, quiet pants coming from his lips as a result of my sudden possessiveness. Jungkook's fingers dug into my back, urging me partially on top of him as I forced my way down his chest and stomach. Fingers threading through my hair, he moaned pliantly, enjoying the feeling of me marking his skin. I belonged to him, and he belonged to me. And, if Rachel ever showed her face again, I would show her exactly that.

"That's it, baby," whimpered the brunet. His head was tilted so far back against my pillows that I couldn't see his reaction. "That's my angel. Only you, baby." I could sense Jungkook begin to grow restless as my lips teased above the waistband of his shorts, a trembling moan working its way from deep within his chest. He clutched his shirt against his chest, holding it out of the way as he invited me to explore his body. From what I could see, Rachel left no marks of her own, or if she had, they were long faded, but, I took that as an invitation to mark Jungkook's skin like a blank canvas, claiming what he offered up as mine.

"Only me?" I taunted, watching as Jungkook's head rolled limply on his shoulders to face me. His bottom lip was trapped harshly in his teeth, a dark red hue blossoming along his cheeks and the tips of his ears.

"Only you, angel, keep going. I-I want people to know-" Jungkook groaned softly as I tugged his shorts low over his hips, kissing along his slightly visible v-line. His skin blossomed pink wherever I kissed him; a result of being left untouched for weeks. "I'm yours," he whimpered. "N-Not hers."

I kissed my way back up to Jungkook's lips, settling against his chest as his hand fisted the hair at the nape of my neck. Unexpectedly, he pulled my lips from his, a shuddering breath escaping my lips as I longed for the feel of his mouth on mine. He worked his way back down to my neck, biting down on my collar hard enough to leave marks that swelled red from his teeth. A slight chuckle worked its way from his throat as he examined the mark he left, tongue swirling over his teeth as if he couldn't wait to do it again.

"That's my angel, hmm? You're the only one I get to mark."

"Mhmm," I whimpered. I couldn't explain how badly I wanted Jungkook to mark me all over. To vandalize my skin with bites and hickies until I was left bruised for weeks to come. Good bruises. Ones that I wouldn't mind carrying.

"Mmh, there you go." Gently, Jungkook pressed kisses against the now swollen bite mark on my collar. The mix of pain and pleasure made me feel fuzzy all over, quiet moans falling from my lips as I buried my face in the crook of his neck. I couldn't help but rut slowly against his thigh, wanting to feel his lips travel lower across my body. Marking everything as his.

"Am I making you needy, angel?"

I nodded, whimpering against his neck. With a deep rumble in his chest, Jungkook went back to leaving hickies on my neck. All I could do was whine into the pillow below his head, his possessive teasing having riled me up for the morning. But, I knew he wouldn't take it any further, and I would be left whimpering and silently begging in my head for him to make me scream that I belonged to him.

"How 'bout we get cleaned up and head downstairs, hmm? I'll cook breakfast before we leave."

"Jungkook," was all I could moan, fisting the collar of his tee-shirt as the bite mark on my collar began to sting. "Mhmm."

Jungkook began to mutter softly under his breath, a small smile playing at his lips as he forced me up to face him. "Do you like it when I mark you?" he whispered huskily, sending fireworks alight in my stomach. I nodded hurriedly, watching as a smirk blossomed on his face as his gaze found its way back to my collar. "Good. Only you, remember?"

     "Y-Yes."

With a chuckle, the brunet forced me gently down onto the bed so that he could slip from beneath the covers. I watched him stand with a satisfying crack of his spine, all the while trying to control the tremors that ran through my legs. I couldn't sit still, and for all I knew, it would take all morning for me to clear the feelings of Jungkook's lips and teeth marking my skin from my thoughts. I missed him already but managed to get out of bed and stumble to the shower to change into fresh clothes. As soon as I escaped the humid clutches of the closed-off bathroom, I raced downstairs and threw myself back into Jungkook's arms, wanting nothing but to be pressed against his chest with his arms hooked my waist.

We made breakfast, Seokjin and Jimin wandering down after another hour or so to eat alongside us. Jungkook explained in little words that he and I needed to leave for a few hours and that we'd be back soon. Seokjin immediately understood why, while Jimin's gaze remained locked on my exposed collar. He was eyeing the bruise that was now turning purple against my skin. My neck and chest looked as if I'd been attacked with acid, eating and vandalizing my skin until I appeared as if I were a burn victim. I could see the blonde quickly become flushed at the sight, his gaze snapping briefly up to Jungkook as he spoke around a mouthful of food and then back down to my neck.

By the time Yoongi and Taehyung had bothered rousing from bed, Jungkook and I were well on our way to the nearest hospital. I'd offered to bring him to the ER, but the maknae declared that it was well past the point of an emergency and that it would be fine just taking him to a normal doctor. My hand gently caressed Jungkook's thigh, the excitement of that morning having worn off as it was quickly replaced with dread. I'd been in Jungkook's shoes many times before, and I hated seeing him have to endure the same thing I'd fought so hard to escape.

When we arrived at the hospital, Jungkook had a death grip on my hand, his eyes wide as he eyed the eight-story tall building. He fixed our masks over our faces, pushing us out of the car and heading to the front doors. A small line was formed, women with their children and elderly men lined up to get their temperatures taken at the door before entering. By the time we made it to the sliding doors, we'd been waiting well over fifteen minutes, my legs starting to ache from the tiny steps we took forward after each person was allowed entry. As they held the thermometer gun up to Jungkook's forehead, one of the nurses eyed me suspiciously, taking a step forward as she clutched a sheet of stickers to her stomach.

"Are you two together?" she asked.

I nodded, not in the mood to make conversation with a stranger.

"He's going to have to go in by himself if the appointment is for him. Only children under fifteen are allowed to enter with another person."

My face fell as I turned to Jungkook, noticing the way he fisted his hands in the front pockets of his jeans.

"I can't go in with him? It's important."

"She has to be there," Jungkook cut in, glancing from me to the nurse with much expectancy.

"I'm sorry," the woman shrugged, throwing on a fake smile just to top it off. "But, if it's your appointment, only you're allowed inside. Just to limit the number of people we get."

Jungkook sighed under his breath, tapping his foot anxiously on the sidewalk beneath him. I ran my hand gently over his forearm, catching his attention so that he'd look up at me.

"I'll just wait in the car. You can text me if you need to, 'kay?"

He hesitated, narrowing his eyes at me before nodding. This was something Jungkook didn't want to endure alone, and I didn't want to leave him, but neither one of us had a say so. I turned on my heel and trudged back to the Bentley, shutting and locking myself inside and immediately whipping out my phone.

Jungkook's feet forced him quickly past the sliding glass doors and back out onto the pavement, the nurse from earlier chirping a quick goodbye before settling back down in her seat out front. His shoulder ached as he rolled it back in slow circles in hopes of stretching out the tightened muscles. Yumin hadn't lied when she said the shots wouldn't hurt that badly, but they still hurt. Immediately, the brunet spotted her leaning up against the trunk of the Bently, eyes scanning the parking lot to find him padding hurriedly from the front of the hospital.

With open arms, Jungkook stumbled into her embrace, feeling tremors work their way down his spine. Yumin tightened her arms protectively around his waist and mumbled if he was okay, to which he replied with a quick nod as he hid away in the crook of her neck. The brunet could feel his anxiety begin to settle in; between the needles, the swarm of nurses and doctors, and being locked in a tiny, plain white room with mechanical beeps and blares whining around him, all he wanted to do was drive home and hide away in his room. Being out in public was beginning to terrify him, and not just because he was afraid of running into Rachel.

"C'mon," Yumin breathed. She pulled away and gently smoothed his bangs away from his face. A light blush flared up along his cheeks, hidden beneath his mask, as Jungkook leaned into her touch, savoring it for a few seconds longer. "Let's get you home, okay?"

They both made their way back to the front of the Bentley, Yumin slowly backing out of the parking lot and out onto the main road. She drove slowly, much slower than usual, urging the car into the far right lane as she continued on past the streetlights that danced back and forth between red, yellow, and green. Her hand extended hesitantly towards his thigh and hovered above it an inch or so. Glancing up at her out of the corner of his eye, Jungkook accepted Yumin's hand, placing it over his inner thigh and resting his own atop hers. He rubbed his thumb against the curves of her fingers, tracing intricate lines into her skin that faded from the warmth of her body.

"Did you wanna get anything before we go home?"

Jungkook sighed under his breath. It wasn't the first time he'd heard that question; Seokjin had asked him something similar the afternoon they'd left Sejin's office. "Do you want anything before we get home? ...anything?" It was as if his family had begun to pity him for what had happened. Pining after him like a child in need of supervision, pondering this and that in hopes of satisfying his needs before he grew upset.

"I'm fine, angel. I just want to go home for now."

     "Okay."

Thankfully, the brunette didn't pester him any further. They made it home before the next hour began, slipping indoors and finding it dead silent inside. Nari was the only one to greet their arrival, the shepherd stepping out into the kitchen with a broad smile that flashed her pearly canines. She sniffed about their feet, Jungkook stooping low to offer her a pat of the head before the Shepherd trotted off.

"Where is everyone?" he wondered nervously, rushing into the living room and peering up to the second story. "Hyung!" he called out but was met with no reply.

Yumin stepped up to his side and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Turning back, Jungkook found her gaze glued to her phone as she typed out quick messages using just her thumb.

      "Where are they?"

Looking up at the brunet briefly, Yumin offered him a reassuring smile before going back to her phone. "They just stepped out for a bit. 'Running an errand,' says Seokjin." With a click of a button, she shut the device off and put it in her back pocket, ignoring the stream of messages that made it continuously vibrate every few seconds. Jungkook eyed her for a moment with his brow cocked in concern. Was she hiding the real reason for his hyung's absence, or did she know about as much as him? Maybe they really had just stepped out to run an errand or two.

Jungkook pursed his lips as he stared across at Yumin, watching the brunette as her eyes scanned over his body, bundled up in loose-fitting clothes and a sweatshirt. "Do you wanna do anything...?" she hesitated, cocking her head to the side. "We could watch a movie...or I could cook you something?"

With a subtle grin, the maknae stepped up to wrap his arms around Yumin's waist and hold her against his chest. He nuzzled his face in the crook of her neck, pressing kisses against her skin that made her grip the back of his sweatshirt. A whimper slipped from her lips as Jungkook kissed at the swollen bite mark on her collar. His cheeks flushed at the memory, Yumin whining against his neck as she stuttered his name over and over again.

"Can we just cuddle, angel? I can get some blankets and stuff, but I don't want you to do anything for me."

     "Okay. Are you sure?"

"Mhmm." Pulling away, Jungkook pressed kisses down the bridge of Yumin's nose, enjoying the way she stared up at him with eyes as wide as a puppy's. "I'm going to change into something else."

Yumin nodded with a small smile, eyes scanning over his body once more before he headed upstairs. Shedding himself of several thick layers of clothing, Jungkook changed into a white, long-sleeve tee and a pair of black sweats before ripping two spare blankets from his closet. Nari had followed him upstairs, whining softly under her breath as she watched him with a peculiar glint in her eyes. She'd always been protective over the members, him included, and Jungkook was grateful to have a companion so loyal at his side. Even if she were just a dog.

Downstairs, Yumin had gathered two steaming cups of ramen and an arm full of snacks. She'd changed out of her jeans and into a tank top, flannel, and sweats, rubbing her arms up and down as shivers worked their way up her spine. Jungkook dropped a blanket atop the couch and wrapped the other around her shoulders, pressing a kiss against her temple as he guided her on top of his lap.

All Jungkook wanted to do was drown in the feel of Yumin's body pressed against his. Whether it was from them kissing, him eliciting tiny whimpers from her throat as he explored her body, or them simply wrapped up in each other's arms as they dozed in silence, he wanted it. He wanted all of it.

Burrowing in the crook of his neck, Yumin traced lines down his hickey-stained neck and across his clothed chest. Every movement she made sent tingles down each other his limbs to his fingers tips. Just her touch was enough to clear his mind of every bad thought. Even Rachel. Despite what Rachel had said, she was almost completely wiped from his mind, save for her threat to Yumin. Every so often, Jungkook would replay her texts in his mind, his anxiety bubbling up in the pit of his stomach as he imagined Rachel targeting Yumin until she got what she wanted, but she never specified what. Only that she wanted Yumin to suffer, to take everything she ever cared about and bash her until she wasted away. With an irritated shake of his head, Jungkook forced those thoughts aside, tightening his arms around Yumin's backside as he pressed a kiss atop her fluffy hair. He wouldn't let anything happen to her, even if he had to risk his own hide.

     Again.

"Do you want to watch anything special?" Yumin murmured against his neck, stroking her thumb over the remote as she clicked the TV on.

After a moment's thought, he whispered the title of one of his favorite movies in her ear and let the brunette scroll through a selection of films to find it. He didn't care much what she put on, but he'd simply chosen the film because he knew Yumin had grown attached to it after viewing it various times at his side. A smile pulled the brunet's lips upward as the movie began, Yumin leaning forward to drop the remote atop the coffee table and settle back down against his chest. Jungkook's mind was so far from focused on the film, his gaze locked on his girlfriend as he watched her shift in his arms to lay more comfortably.

Well into the movie, Jungkook began to squirm beneath Yumin. She peered up at him constantly, biting back a response as she ran her hand over his stomach. He admitted that he had grown ridiculously needy in the past few days, and the familiar feeling of lust was beginning to creep back under his skin again. As the brunette tilted her head back to press a chaste kiss along his jaw, Jungkook began to breathe heavily. He kept his eyes trained on the television, taking in the bright, flashy scenes as he felt Yumin's hand glide up his chest to cup his cheek. A shaky breath escaped his lips as she placed her mouth close to his ear, her warm breath tickling his skin.

"What's the matter, Koo?" breathed Yumin as she gently stroked his cheek with her thumb. Slowly, she trailed her lips down his neck, eliciting shaky moans from the brunet's throat as he tilted his head back against the arm of the couch. The thought of lazily thrusting into Yumin over and over again continued to flit in and out of his mind, making the breath catch in his throat as he whimpered her name aloud. She sucked tiny hickies along his neck alongside previous ones from earlier that morning, marking him up and down until his neck and chest stuck out bright red.

"Is this what you wanted?" Yumin chuckled. "Hmm?"

     "Angel."

"Do you want me to mark you? Huh?"

He mumbled a reply under his breath, a pleading whine pushing past his lips as he longed for the feel of Yumin's lips traveling down his body. Jungkook felt safe beneath her touch as if the hickies that she marked his skin with protected him from everything bad that threatened to harm him. Her kisses flushed out memories of Rachel and collapsing at the foot of her bed, erased the numbing feeling that consumed him all the way to his fingertips until he could no longer see straight. Eyes rolling briefly into the back of his head, Jungkook moaned Yumin's name possessively as the brunette brushed her hand beneath his shirt, fingers tracing over the bruises left by her that morning. Sitting up, Yumin positioned herself on his lap, the maknae's hands slipping around her waist to pull her flush against his chest.

"I love you, Jungkook," murmured Yumin, cupping the side of his face as she pressed delicate kisses from his ear to his temple. "I'm always going to be here to protect you, okay?"

The front door clicked open behind them as chattering voices drifted from the kitchen and into the living room over the sound of the television. Yumin immediately slipped from off of his lap and onto the couch between his legs, throwing hers over the side and onto the floor. With a glance over his shoulder, Jungkook spotted his hyung, Seokjin, eyes staring curiously into the living room at them as if he'd suspected something to happen. He pushed his way inside, leaning forward to press a kiss against his forehead before addressing Yumin.

"I need to talk to you."

     Yumin's face fell. "Me?"

Seokjin nodded, his gaze never leaving hers until the brunette forced herself up onto unsteady feet. She padded after him, hands clasped before her stomach as she picked at the skin between her fingers. Jungkook watched them leave, but soon, his other hyung's blocked his view as Jin and Yumin wandered down the hall and into the office.

"How was the visit, Koo?" Yoongi pondered, sitting beside the brunet as he pulled his legs protectively against his chest.

"It was...fine, I guess. Kind of hurt."

     "They gave you shots?"

Jungkook nodded. He was beginning to miss Yumin and wondered why his hyung would need to speak with her. Had she done something wrong? Yumin had been with him since last night; there wasn't any way for her to get into trouble without him having known. Shaking his worries away, Jungkook leaned forward to curl up against Yoongi's chest, finally settling down to pay attention to the movie. His hyung began tracing along his exposed neck, noticing the purple hickies that littered his pale skin. A sigh escaped his lips and Jungkook couldn't understand why, but soon his attention was completely captured by the film before him, the others settling against the couch to watch alongside him.
