Mavis' pov
I let out a small giggle when I saw how my classmates were lying in the dirt, groaning in pain. But when I gazed at them a little longer, my smile faded and I tried to look elsewhere. I would have been beaten by now if I was still a child, in that cold place that felt more like a torture camp than a home.
I looked up to estimate how much water I would need to summon when I saw one of the women looking down at us.
"Hey! Since it's private land, you can use your Quirks as you wish! You have three hours. Come to the facility on your own two feet! After getting through... The Beast's Forest!"
I looked back at the forest I turned my back to, to try and find any beasts. Why else would it be named after that?
I huffed, feeling my stomach rumbling a little. 'But I don't wanna~' whining in my head didn't help much, but I did it nevertheless.
"That name sounds like it came right out of Dragon Quest!" Kaminari exclaimed.
"UA does stuff like this way too often." Jirou mumbled. I saw her still on the ground so I reached out for her, to help her on her feet. She took my hand and I pulled her up. Jirou is lighter than I thought, so it looked like she was flying for a second when I put a bit too much strength in my pull.
"Thanks, Mavis."
She gave me a tiny smile after gaining her balance.
"No problem, babe." I winked at her playfully to try and change the mood. No one wanted to be here, stranded with the knowledge that we have to walk 2 hours through a forest. We didn't even have breakfast.
"It's no use complaining," Kirishima said while dusting himself off. "we just have to go."
I hummed in agreement and looked towards the forest again. I saw Mineta running from the corner of my eye to the forest quickly, clutching is crotch. A moment later he stood in front of a beast instead of a tree.
"It's... a beast!" Screamed Kirishima and Kaminari. Mineta stood there frozen and Koda rushed to the creature, trying to aid Mineta who still didn't budge. I didn't either. I just want to see some action before I have to lift a finger and pretend like I'm a good classmate and person.
I don't have that kind of moral code like the others though. "Calm down, kind beast! Stay back!" But the 'kind beast' didn't listen.
Before he could have crushed Mineta, Midoriya rescued him from his fate."Ow man, why'd you help him?" I mumbled and raised my arms besides me slightly, just to let them fall down again dramatically, like a child.
4 of the boys from my class, too lazy to say their names, destroyed the creature and the class complimented the boys. Wohoooo.
Yeah good job, I guess. I'm just trying so hard not to crinkle my nose up in disgust while seeing the children all so happy and nice.
A new creature came to life and this time, it had wings. We, as a class, worked together through the forest. Great. Teamwork. Love the cliché thingy that we have going on here. I used Todoroki's ice as my water source, taking water from the air would have been too much for me when I would have done it the whole time.
And I don't wanna end up having a concussion. Or worse, having to wear glasses from then on like Iida has to.
The class was all thirsty when it was like an hour later, so I asked Todoroki for extra ice and turned it into water. I gave that to them so they could drink it. I had to repeat it like 5 times, which made me so thirsty afterwards that my tongue felt like sandpaper.
When we finally arrived at the facility HOURS later, even though that woman said it was a two hour long walk, we all overused our quirks and the drawbacks were kicking in. I felt really dizzy, my surroundings looked like as if they were spinning, or was I spinning? I couldn't figure it out. My knees felt weak and I collapsed on the ground, holding myself steady with my arms but they felt weak, too.
I tried to wet my cracked lips but it just felt like I was scraping them with my dry tongue. I cringed at the feeling.
I didn't listen to what they were talking about. Sitting on the ground really helped me a little and my surroundings stopped spinning like 3 minutes afterwards. Just as I looked up, I witnessed how Midoriya got punched in the balls. My hand shot to my mouth and I started laughing. The dirt on my palm scraping my dry lips and chin. A bit even fell into my mouth so in between laughing, I spit out some dirt.
At least I tried to. I had no spit.
Iida rushed to help Midoriya immediately. "Midoriya!" He turned to the little kid. " You brute of a nephew! Why would you do that to Midoriya's scrotum?!"
I snorted at that, laughing harder while laying on my back. Looking up the sky and the exhaustion kicked in. I felt like falling asleep right here, but I fear I wouldn't wake up afterwards. I have to drink something before I die of dehydration.
I sat back up.
"Precious brat." Bakugo said proudly besides me. Todoroki looked from me to Bakugo and opened his mouth. "Isn't he kind of like you?"
"What? Not at all!" Bakugo snapped and I cooed.
"Aww~ Bakugo is that your secret love child?" I steadied my weight again on my two hands that were placed on the ground behind me while facing up to Bakugo.
"Shut up! Both of you!"
Todooki gave out a heartless 'sorry' and I grinned at Bakugo.
"Baby you wouldn't say that if we both were alone in your bed~" He picked me up from my collar and got red, I don't know if it is from anger or from being flustered, but it satisfied me either way. I did only see black though. For a second I thought I would tap out.
"Do you have a death wish?!"
"No, but being choked is one of my wishes you know~" He let go of me immediately and Aizawa spoke up. Todoroki steadied me when he noticed me looking around as if I couldn't see shit. I was about to fall forward if it wasn't for him.
"Enough with this charade. Get your stuff off the bus. Once you have put your bags in your rooms, we'll have dinner in the cafeteria. After that, you will bathe and go to sleep. We will start for real tomorrow. Now move quickly."

The food was delicious and bathing is another story. The water was the perfect temperature and we girls talked comfortably over everything.
"This feels great!" Mina exclaimed.
"I love that there are hot springs here."
"Yeah it's helping with my muscles. They are aching because of today." My eyes were closed and I let myself drift in the water. Being surrounded by water gave me a sense of comfort, so I smiled a bit when I felt every little crack in the ground. I did try to ignore the girls though, they were moving so much it made me feel a bit dizzy again. I will have to sleep directly after this. I'm worn out, and if I didn't have the excuse that I hadn't eaten anything but dinner today, I would have been really ashamed and disappointed with myself to have gotten so worn out just in two hours.
'Pathetic.' He would have sneered at me when he was here. Maybe even used his quirk on me, just to emphasize that I was shit.
"Oh! What you did today with the water was really smart Mavis! We would have been severely dehydrated if it wasn't for you." Momo complimented and I tried to smile, not opening my eyes. "No problem, wouldn't want you guys fainting on me." The water was humming as if to comfort me, or I liked to imagine it.
We heard screaming from the other side, I think it was Mineta. "Before learning to be a hero, you need to learn how to be a better human." I heard the miniature of Bakugo say.
I opened my eyes and looked up to the wall, as if I could see over it to the men side and witness what was happening over there.
"Mineta really is the worst, huh?" Tsu said.
"Thanks, Kota! Yay yay!" Mina held her thumbs up and gave the kid a closed eye smile.
Bakugo's love child looked like he saw a ghost and slipped. He fell down the other side of the wall, the boys area. I mean... I could have helped... but I hate children. Besides, I already overused my quirk today. I heard his scream and closed my eyes again, savoring it.

"Good morning, ladies and gentleman!" "Good morning my ass. We have 5 in the morning." I mumbled while stretching out my limbs.
"Today, we will begin training camp to increase your strength in earnest." Bla bla bla
And so, the training began.

I went meditating in the woods, believe it or not, it helps to control my quirks. I need high concentration when I use both my quirks. Both can kill someone if I don't concentrate enough. The cause of death could be because I froze the whole blood system and the organs from working, or I could easily break someone's neck, the other one could cause a death by too much pain, you know, pain from the heart, lungs, brain and all that other shit.
My one quirk lets them feel whatever I want to , and even though I don't really do much other than infiltrate their mind into thinking they feel what I want them to feel, they could still die from it. The pain results from 60% my imagination and 40% of their mind.
We needed to prepare our food ourselves and it turned out like shit, but we were too hungry to complain.
"Yao-momo, you eat a lot, huh?" Mina asked from the other table. I was sitting across the animals that go by the name Kirishima and Sero. To be fair, nobody really had manners while eating today, and I wasn't very pleased seeing it but I let it slide because they haven't eaten all day. I on the other hand couldn't get one bite down because I felt disgusted by the way they were eating.
They would spit while talking, because they couldn't stop stuffing their mouths but also wanted to chat. The two in front of me are eating with their hands, and when Denki accidentally spat in my face, I pushed away my tray and tried not to give in into killing him right here.
I am hungry, no doubt. But the feeling of bile threatening to come out my throat was much more powerful.
"Yes. My quirk turns lipids into various atoms to create things, so the more I eat, the more I can make." She explained proudly.
"It's like poo." Sero said with a mouth full of food.
"Damn" I stopped thinking about my food and glanced at Momo, who was sulking because of that comment.
Jirou punched Sero "Apologize!"
"I'm sorry!"

The night in the girl's room was fun. We played together till everyone fell asleep. Mina spread herself, sleeping on me and Jirou, but I didn't care. It was a chilly night and I couldn't really sleep. Maybe it was because I have an empty stomach, or just my insomnia kicking in, but I felt so awake that I kicked my covers off and slowly peeled Mina off of me. The others could sleep because they are exhausted, but the only thing I did today was meditating, so I snuck out to get some air.
It is cold if you only had a crop top and sweatpants on, who ever would be that stupid to go out like that...
Not wanting to sneak in again for a jacket, I simply heated my blood cells a little to a comfortable temperature. I found out that I could do such a thing when I ran away from 'home'. It was one of the things that really helped me out there.
I decided for a walk through the forest. It was dark but manageable, my phone is in my pocket if I really need some light.
It was peaceful, other than the crickets that do those sounds it was rather silent. You could hear here and there sounds from animals and it was enjoyable.
'Creak'
'Hold up, that's not a sound an animal could make... but maybe one just stepped on a branch. A heavy animal.'
I thought nothing of it and went deeper into the forest. I sensed this afternoon a water source here somewhere and I wanted to go there.
'Creak' because this was the second time I heard a branch snap, I stopped to sense my surroundings with my quirk.
I felt a rather big body standing just a couple of feet away. It was something with a slender body but it is tall. A person for sure. Humans feel different from animals. I first entertained that it was someone from my class, but then when I tried to touch the body with my quirk, the thought quickly vanished.
This body doesn't feel familiar. And quite older than my classmates.
"Come out, you are annoying."
Nothing.
They didn't move.
"I will personally beat your ass up if you don't come out this instant."
Out of nowhere, I felt another body, standing besides the one that was following me and they both vanished.
'The fuck?'
I turned around and pulled out my phone to use my flashlight. But no one was there other than a bunny than ran away as soon as I pointed my light at them. I felt a weird feeling in my stomach, an unsettling one.
My immediate thought was to tell the teachers about it, but why would they believe me? Maybe I just made this all up. I'm exhausted after all. Hallucination? I scratched my head and clicked my tongue. No it felt too real.
I will just tell them tomorrow. I cant deal with this right now. Make it someone else's problem.
