After the spirits were exorcised, everyone settled in to life in the mansion. Everyone was doing their own thing currently. Darkness and Megumin were playing chess, (Y/N) was practicing some scales, and Kazuma was sitting on the couch.
(Y/N): "Goddammit! Sweeping is way harder than it looks!
Suddenly Aqua walked into the room and over to Kazuma.
Aqua: "Kazuma, relinquish your seat to me, the exalted Aqua."
Kazuma: "Why would I do that?"
Aqua: "I'm the highest level in our party now. Level 21!"
Kazuma: "Let me see your card then."
Aqua handed Kazuma her card. He saw that she was telling the truth.
Aqua: "It's real! Now give your seat to your superior."
Kazuma: "What the hell? Why haven't your stats raised?"
Aqua: "Dummy, my stats were maxed out from the start! They're staying where they are."
Kazuma: 'That's why her intelligence...'
(Y/N): 'Never seems to increase.'
After the bro-power telepathy, (Y/N) and Kazuma both put their hands on Aqua's shoulders.
(Y/N) & Kazuma: "You poor thing."
Aqua: "Huh?! What are you talking about?!"
(Timeskip)
Kazuma and (Y/N) were walking in town. (Y/N), as always, had his guitar on his back.
(Y/N): "So where are you taking me?"
Kazuma: "To meet with some friends of mine."
(Y/N): "Do they happen to be Keith and Dust?"
Kazuma: "Yes?"
(Y/N): "Hell yeah. Those dudes knows how to have a good time."
Eventually, Kazuma spotted them near an alley.
Kazuma: "Yo."
Keith & Dust: "AAAAH!"
Keith: "Don't sneak up on people like that!"
Dust: "Hey (Y/N), we still on for drinks?"
(Y/N): "Only if you buy your own this time."
Dust: "Damn."
Kazuma: "Why are you two looking so shady anyway?"
Keith: "Ever hear of a succubus cafe?"
Kazuma looked serious and leaned forward.
Kazuma: "Fill us in."
(Y/N): "Correction. Fill him in."
Kazuma looked to his side at (Y/N).
Kazuma: "What? Why just me?"
(Y/N): "Because I have a girlfriend waiting at home."
Keith: "It's only a dream though."
(Y/N): "Look, I know what it's like to be cheated on. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, especially someone I really care about. And before you say 'she won't find out' that'll make me feel even guiltier!"
Dust: "Couldn't you just request a dream with her in it?"
(Y/N): "I mean, I guess I could. But that just feels creepy. Plus, it's too early to be doing that stuff with her anyway, I could barely hold her hand!"
Kazuma: "Huh, too early? Did you leave your old mentality behind in a cheap motel?"
(Y/N): "Oi, keep your voice down! I...I..."
(Y/N) clenched his fists as he prepared himself to confess something.
(Y/N): "I never went all the way."
Kazuma: "What?"
(Y/N): "Those times I told you about. The girls helped me...relieve a little stress. But I never went all the way through with it. Don't laugh, but I'm still.....a virgin."
Kazuma: "A virgin? With your confidence?"
(Y/N): "Hey, you're pretty confident."
Kazuma: "You're assuming I'm a virgin."
(Y/N): "...Shit, you've got me in a tough spot here."
Kazuma looked down at the ground.
Kazuma: "I mean, you aren't wrong."
(Y/N): "We're brothers in more way than one."
(Y/N) and Kazuma weakly reached out and fistbumped each other.
Keith: "I feel like we're watching something really sad, yet meaningful."
Dust: "Mostly sad."
(Y/N): "Look, just cause I'm not gonna order a dream doesn't mean you guys shouldn't. I'm not about to let my bros lose out on some action, dream or not. I'll even go in with you guys. When you guys get done, we can go have a guy's day or some shit."
Kazuma: "That sounds good to me. Guys?"
Keith and Dust both gave thumbs ups, and led the two down the alley.
Keith: "I'll warn you, it's a little different than you're expecting it to be."
(Y/N): "It can't be that bad. It is a succubus 'cafe'."
(Timeskip)
(Y/N): "This is not a fucking cafe."
(Y/N) was sitting in a chair in a dimly lit room. Girls in very skimpy outfits were passing by him and attending to other customers.
(Y/N): "I shouldn't be here."
(Y/N) was debating on just waiting outside for his friends, when a succubus walked over to him.
Succubus: "Hi, cutie. How can I help you today?"
(Y/N) was very obviously flustered at the succubus' seductive voice and very, very small clothes.
(Y/N): "A-ah, it's alright. I'm o-only waiting for my friends."
Succubus: "Are you sure? It sure would be a waste to go home empty handed."
(Y/N): "N-no, i-it's alright." 'Quick, think of something else. Megumin! Think of how bad Megumin would feel if you got one of these dreams! Good, feel guilty, you horny fuck!'
Succubus: "Wait a second...That instrument. Aren't you (Y/N) (L/N)?"
(Y/N) looked up quick. He was surprised that she new not just his name, but his full name.
(Y/N): "How do you know my name?"
The succubus put her hand over her mouth and giggled.
Succubus: "Well you're kind of famous in this town. With your big guild hall concerts and all."
(Y/N): "Ah, I see. I guess that makes sense."
(Y/N) was fidgety and nervous around the succubus. She took notice of this, and was amused. When (Y/N) looked her in the eyes, she had a look that somehow scared and aroused him simultaneously.
Succubus: "You're cute and musical. I really like that in a guy. Say, how'd you like something even better than a dream?"
(Y/N): 'Eris save my soul.'
Suddenly a familiar voice rang out through the shop.
Kazuma: "Hey (Y/N), we're ready to go now!"
(Y/N): "I'll have to pass that offer up, my friends are waiting for me. Thanks though!"
(Y/N) quickly caught up with the other three boys, and got out of there as fast as humanly possible.
Keith: "What's got you in such a hurry?"
(Y/N): "I'm not too keen on fucking over my girlfriend by fucking a succubus."
Kazuma: "Are you serious?! How come all the girls gravitate to you?!"
(Y/N): "It's gotta be the guitar. It almost never worked back home, but goddamn it's a chick magnet here."
Dust: "I need to learn how to play."
(Y/N): "You know what, that's not a bad idea. Have any of you got an idea of where to find manatite?"
Dust: "Why would you need manatite to learn how to play? Don't tell me....it's all magic no talent?!"
(Y/N): "No, I've been playing for years and years now, it's not magic. But the magic is what makes it loud."
Keith: "So that's how it works. As far as I know, you have to go mining for manatite. Or you can buy it, for a high price, mind you."
(Y/N): "Sweet, what shop sells it?"
Keith: "No clue."
(Y/N): "You're almost as useless as Aqua."
Kazuma: "I think that's a little too harsh."
(Y/N): "Yeah, you're right. With it being Aqua we're talking about, I'd say you're about.....around a quarter as useless."
Keith: "I still take offense to that."
(Y/N): "That's the point."
All four laughed at the exchange. It was an all around warm atmosphere.
(Y/N): "This is nice."
Dust: "Huh? What's nice?"
(Y/N): "It's been a long time since I've been with people who liked me."
Kazuma: "Oi, we like you plenty."
(Y/N): "I know, let me finish. When I came here and joined the party, I really felt at peace. And it's been so long since I've had a day out with my friends. I've really missed the 'me and the boys' energy."
Keith: "Damn, that's really heartfelt."
Dust: "We have Taylor in our party, but I totally get what you mean."
The group fell into a comfortable silence. It was short lived though.
(Y/N): "Alright, enough with the mushy shit. Let's go get drinks."
Dust: "We can't."
(Y/N): "What?"
Dust: "We can't."
(Y/N): "No, I heard you the first time. But why can't you?"
Kazuma: "The succubus back at the cafe said not to drink too much. If we sleep to heavy, they can't deliver the dream to us."
(Y/N): "Hmm. Well what do you guys say we wander around town and see what trouble we can get ourselves in?"
Kazuma: "As long as we get any more debt."
Keith: "Sure, life's been kinda boring the last few days."
Dust: "I'm always down for trouble."
(Y/N): "Alright boys. Let's go do some stupid shit!"
(Y/N) pointed in a random direction, telling them where to go. The other three, although smiling, stood at attention and saluted.

After Kazuma took (Y/N) to buy a sword, the four wandered around town, browsing through whatever shop they found interesting. All the while trying to make the others laugh with whatever they could find. They were currently sitting in the guild, ordering some food.
(Y/N): "I'll take a whiskey, and some fried toad. Thanks."
Kazuma: "I'm starting to feel left out."
Keith: "I can't help but start craving alcohol."
Dust: "A crimson ale for me."
Keith: "What are you doing?!"
Dust: "One drink won't hurt me. I'm not that much of a lightweight!"
Keith: "...He has a point."
Kazuma: "I'm not chancing anything."
(Y/N): "Smart man."
Kazuma: "Unlike you, apparently. I don't think I'll ever be able to show my face in that store again."
(Y/N): "Hey, I'm not in the wrong here. If they didn't want it to be drank, they shouldn't have put it in a bottle."
Kazuma: "(Y/N), it was window cleaner."
Keith: "That's still not as embarrassing as what Dust did in the third shop."
Dust: "Don't act like I knew what would happen! That cashier was making eyes at me! How was I supposed to know it was a dude?!"
(Y/N): "The masculine voice was a dead giveaway for me."
Kazuma: "It was the little bit of stubble on his chin that tipped me off."
Dust: "He was in a maid outfit! You can't tell me that you wouldn't shoot your shot!"
Keith: "That's a valid argument."
???: "Here we are. Oh, hey (Y/N)!"
A familiar waitress brought out (Y/N) and Dust's orders. Hearing her voice made (Y/N)'s heart sink a little.
(Y/N): 'Please don't be flirty this time.' "H-hey Alice. How are you doing?"
Alice: "I'm good. You're always so thoughtful!"
(Y/N): 'I have a bad feeling about this.'
Kazuma: "Um, pardon my rudeness, but who are you?"
Alice: "I'm Alice. Who are you?"
Kazuma: "Kazuma, the leader of the party (Y/N)'s in."
Alice: "I see. You've got a real good man in your party."
Kazuma: "How do you know him, if you don't mind me asking?"
Alice: "I met him while I was working a few weeks ago."
Alice walked behind (Y/N) and leaned over on his back, pushing her chest into him. (Y/N) was mouthing 'help me!' to his friends without her knowing.
Alice: "We still haven't gone for that drink you promised."
(Y/N): "I never promised you anything."
Alice: "Awww, why do have to be so harsh?"
(Y/N): "Cause you're all up in my personal space, and there's only one person I let in there."
Alice: "Hmm? Who is that?"
Megumin: "That would be me."
Megumin suddenly appeared behind the girl, a murderous glare in her eyes. Keith and Dust both saw the potential danger, and got up to leave.
Keith: "Well, I think it's time for us to get going."
Dust: "Definitely. Good luck (Y/N). You coming Kazuma?"
Kazuma: "No, I have to make sure that we don't have jail time added on top of our debt."
As the two left, Alice stood up and turned around. She looked down and sneered at Megumin, who was a little shorter. Megumin was a deadly calm.
Alice: "What's this little girl doing here?"
Kazuma & (Y/N): 'Very poor choice of words.'
Megumin: "Trying to figure out if the time in prison for killing you would be worth it."
Alice: "And just why would you wanna kill me?"
Megumin: "Because you won't back off of my boyfriend."
Alice: "Oh sweety, stop playing. There's no way such a small girl-"
Megumin: "Darkness darker than dark, blacker than black."
(Y/N): "Wait, you'll kill us all! If we live we'll only have more debt, and hospital bills!"
Megumin: "...Fine."
Alice: "As I was saying, there's no way a girl like you has a boyfriend. Especially one like (Y/N) here."
Megumin: "I know! Why don't we ask him?"
Alice: "I'll do just that. Oh (Y/N), this little nuisance your girlfriend?"
(Y/N) stood up and looked down at Alice. His boots were once again adding to his height, and his overall intimidation factor.
(Y/N): "I was raised to only hit a woman in self defense. I won't hit you, but if you call my girlfriend a nuisance again, I'll sic Kazuma on you."
Kazuma: 'I'm not sure if I should be flattered or jnsulted.'
Alice: "Ugh, fine, I'll step off. But if you ever get bored of her, you know where to find me."
Alice walked back off towards the counters. Megumin was still clearly fuming.
(Y/N): "H-hey-"
Megumin: "Who was she?"
(Y/N): "J-just a waitress. She was the one that asked me for a drink before. I turned her down of course."
Megumin: "Oh, it's good you weren't thinking of cheating."
(Y/N)'s demeanor became more confident.
(Y/N): "I would never. We were talking about how cheating hurts both people just earlier."
Megumin: "And why were you talking about cheating?"
(Y/N)'s confidence burned out instantly.
(Y/N): 'I've really painted myself into corner here, haven't I?'
Kazuma: 'Shit, he can't lie to her now.'
(Y/N): "Alright, don't get mad."
Megumin: "I'm a reasonable girl, I won't get mad unless there's a reason."
(Y/N): "Good. So, it started with the guys wanting to go to a succubus cafe."
Megumin: "Combine with my deep crimson-"
(Y/N) hit his knees and started to beg.
(Y/N): "Please let me finish! I didn't get a dream, I swear! I ended up talking them out of it!"
(Y/N), although telling the truth, left out the part that they went in the shop, and the other three got a dream. Megumin could see the honesty in his eyes, and seemed satisfied.
Megumin: "Alright, it seems I have no reason to be mad."
Kazuma: 'I'll thank him for leaving out the part about us three later.'
(Y/N): "That's good then. How come you're here anyway?"
Megumin: "I got bored of playing chess, and I was looking for you."
(Y/N): "Did you miss me that much?"
Megumin: "N-no, I need to go practice explosion!"
(Y/N): "Oh, ok."
(Y/N) stood up, chugged what was left of his drink, and placed some eris on the table. He patted Kazuma on the shoulder and followed Megumin out of the guild. As they walked out of the town gate, Megumin instantly locked hands with (Y/N).
(Y/N): "A-ah, more confident today, are we?"
He was met with silence. He looked down at the girl who couldn't meet his eyes. She seemed troubled, but he didn't want to pester her about it. Soon they had found today's target. Verdia's old castle.
(Y/N): "I'm surprised this thing is even standing at this point."
Megumin: "Yeah..."
The way she was acting was really starting to worry (Y/N). He made up his mind that if she willfully didn't tell him what was wrong before they got back home, he'd ask her himself. Megumin casted her explosion onto the beaten down castle. This one was a little different than usual. (Y/N) picked her up bridal style and started to walk home.
(Y/N): "You know, this explosion was an odd one. It was a lot smaller than usual, but twice as dense. It burned really hot and really bright too."
He looked down towards the girl in his arms. Instead of being red, yet at peace as she usually was in this position, her expression seemed distant.
(Y/N): "Hey, you're looking pretty blue there. Everything alright?"
Megumin then looked up and dropped an unexpected bombshell on him.
Megumin: "Am I good enough for you?"
(Y/N): "What the hell are you talking about? Why wouldn't you be good enough?"
Megumin: "Well, that waitress had a good point, I am small. In more ways than one."
(Y/N): "Quit talking like that. That waitress is a snake, and you don't have to listen to a thing she says. Besides, I'd rather choose a girl for her heart than her measurements. If one of us isn't good enough, it's definitely me."
Megumin: "What are you saying? You're a sweet, thoughtful, handsome guy who does anything for those he cares about. You can do better than me."
(Y/N): "Have you looked in a mirror recently? You're the cutest girl I've ever met, not to mention your personality. You're a loyal, kind, charismatic young woman that cares deeply for all of her friends. You'd give everything you have if it would make others happy. You're way out of my league."
Megumin: "I appreciate the compliments, but I can't agree with everything, especially the 'out of your league' part."
(Y/N): "Stop putting yourself down. I'm not afraid to kiss some sense into you."
After the last sentence, both of their faces flushed red. Soon they started laughing.
Megumin: "You know, I think I'm in need of some sense right about now."
(Y/N): "Remember, if you receive a gift, you have to give one back."
Megumin: "I have no problems with that."
(Y/N) stopped walking, and sat with Megumin under a big tree. She had enough strength to move the top half of her body, so she turned to (Y/N) and placed her hand behind (Y/N)'s head. They both slowly leaned in, and met in the middle. This was their longest kiss yet, burning with fiery passion. They stayed locked together for a minute or two, until separating for air. As the parted, a small string of saliva connected between their mouths. They leaned their foreheads together, with peaceful, loving looks on their faces.
(Y/N): "These get better every time."
Megumin: "You can say that again."
(Y/N): "These get better every time."
Megumin: ".....I really walked into that one."
(Y/N): "Yeah you did. But seriously, every kiss is always better than the last."
The two leaned against one another, sitting in each others arms for a while. The comfort of the situation combined with the fatigue caught up with them, and they fell asleep in each others arms under the giant tree.

When Megumin woke up, the first thing she noticed was the sun dipping under the horizon. She quickly, but gently, woke (Y/N).
Megumin: "(Y/N). (Y/N), wake up."
(Y/N): "Uggghhh, what year is it?"
Megumin: "Were you sleeping that deeply?"
(Y/N): "What can I say, I feel at ease around you."
The sweet notion threw her off a little.
Megumin: "A-as much as I would love to stay here like this, we should probably get home. The sun's starting to go down."
(Y/N): "My back is starting to hurt from this ground anyway."
They stood up, and gazed at the painting on the sky in front of them. Hues of deep red, purple, pink, and orange stained across the sky. (Y/N) wrapped his arm around Megumin.
(Y/N): "It's amazing. It doesn't matter if you've seen one or one thousand, you always appreciate the beauty of a sunset."
Megumin: "Yeah. There are just some things you never get tired of, you know."
(Y/N) looked down towards Megumin. A hue of deep orange was projected onto her smiling face. Everything in the world disappeared as he watched her so intently observing the sunset.
(Y/N): "Yeah. I know exactly what you mean."
After basking in the moment for a few more seconds, (Y/N) started to walk home. When he noticed Megumin not walking with him, he turned around. She was pulling her hat down, hiding her eyes.
Megumin: "Wait, I need to tell you something. It's important."
(Y/N) waited in anxiously.
Megumin: "I...I l-love you!"
(Y/N): "That's it?"
Megumin: "Eh? What do you mean that's it?!"
(Y/N): "You act like it's the first time you've told me that."
Megumin: "It's not?!"
(Y/N): "I'm guessing you don't remember the night you got drunk?"
Megumin: "...D-did I really?"
(Y/N): "Yeah, you did. But I'll still give you the same answer as the first time, so you better remember this time. I love you too, Megumin."
Megumin's eyes watered a little. She was so happy that she ran up and jumped into (Y/N)'s arms.
He spun her around a little and put her back down.
(Y/N): "Is this memorable enough for you?"
Megumin looked at the sunset, then back to (Y/N).
Megumin: "Absolutely.....This moment is perfect."
(Timeskip)
(Y/N) and Megumin had walked hand in hand all the way home. As they walked in the door, the smell of good food hit them.
(Y/N): "Holy shit, something's cooking."
Megumin: "It smells like seafood."
(Y/N): "Seafood isn't my favorite but damn, this smells delicious."
Darkness: "Ah, you two are finally back. My family sent us some red marbled crab as a housewarming gift."
Aqua: "They sent some high class alcohol too!"
(Y/N): "Is red marbled crab good?"
Megumin: "It's supposed to be great! I've never had any, but they're treated as a delicacy!"
Kazuma then walked in the front door.
(Y/N): "Oh hey Kazuma."
Kazuma: "Yo."
Darkness: "What took you so long?"
Kazuma: "Uh, me, Dust, and Keith went out for drinks."
Megumin: "I thought they left?"
Kazuma: "I met up with them again after you scared them away."
Megumin: "I don't understand why they ran off, I'm not scary."
(Y/N): "You literally have the power to blow half the town to hell."
Megumin: "Oh yeah."
The 5 took their places at the table, and dug in immediately.
(Y/N): "Whoever said this was a delicacy was absolutely right!"
Everyone ate in silence, focused on the food in front of them. The number of crabs on the table was decreasing rapidly.
Aqua: "Hey Kazuma, give me some fire. I'll show you a great way to drink this."
Kazuma: "Alright, Tinder."
Kazuma lit a small fire with his hand.
(Y/N): "You seriously need to start teaching me these."
Aqua: "First we take this crab shell, it's still got some meat in it. Then we pour in the wine. Kazuma, here's where you come in. Bring the fire under the shell."
Kazuma did as asked, and the meat and wine heated together and made a delicious concoction. Aqua took a big sip, and then passed it to (Y/N).
(Y/N): "Woah, this is great! Aqua, you've really stepped your ideas up!"
Aqua: "Try it Kazuma."
Kazuma: "No thanks."
Darkness: "You're unusually reserved tonight. Why aren't you drinking like normal?"
(Y/N): "He did say that he went out for drinks before he got home."
Darkness: "Speaking of getting home, what took you and Megumin so long."
Kazuma: "Darkness, they're a young couple in love. What do you think they were doing?"
Darkness: "Um...well..."
(Y/N): "Quit thinking pervy things. All we did was explode a certain re-abandoned castle. After that we watched the sunset."
Kazuma: "It doesn't take that long to use explosion. It was still broad daylight when you two left."
Megumin: "W-well, we may have fallen asleep together under a tree."
Darkness: "That was way more innocent than I expected."
Suddenly, Kazuma stretched and let out a fake yawn.
Kazuma: "Well, I'd love to live it up with you guys, but I'm feeling really tired. I'll just turn in early today, goodnight!"
After that, he sprinted up the stairs.
(Y/N): "I'm gonna go look at the stars. Anybody wanna come with me?"
They all nodded no, and continued on eating. (Y/N) started up the stairs and towards his room. After picking up his guitar, he made it to a small hatch that led out onto the roof. He took his guitar off his back, and layed down on the roof, facing the stars.
(Y/N): "Woah! It seems like everything is prettier here."
He gazed at the plethora of stars above him. He saw more than he could ever count.
(Y/N): "There's millions up there, I've never seen this many at once. I'm so glad there isn't so much light pollution here."
(Y/N) grabbed his guitar, and played it at a low volume.
All his emotions were put through the strings. He watched the sky as he sang, the stars his audience. As he finished, a small tear trickled down his cheek.
(Y/N): "I miss mom."
With that, he fell asleep for the second time today.
(Timeskip)
(Y/N) woke up to find his head dangling. He looked up and saw that someone had him in and fireman carry. He then realized he no longer had his guitar with him.
(Y/N): "What did you do with Amelia?! Tell me and I might not kill you!"
Instead of an unknown voice, he received a familiar one.
Darkness: "Calm down, (Y/N)! Megumin is bringing your guitar to your room!"
(Y/N): "Darkness? Why are you carrying me?"
Darkness: "Megumin got me to. She said she found you sleeping on the roof, and was afraid you'd roll over and fall off."
(Y/N): "Well I appreciate it, but I can walk on my own now."
Darkness let (Y/N) down.
Darkness: "That's better. You're heavier than you look, you know."
(Y/N): "Thanks."
Darkness: "I didn't mean it negatively. I just mean that your putting on a little more muscle."
(Y/N): "You would know, wouldn't you."
Darkness: "Hey-"
(Y/N): "You're our trusty Crusader after all."
The two smiled at each other, before departing.
(Y/N): "Well, goodnight."
Darkness: "Goodnight. And thank you, (Y/N)."
After that, both went separate ways, (Y/N) to his room, and Darkness towards the bath.

(Y/N) wasn't asleep long when shouting woke him up.
(Y/N): "Really? What the hell are they doing?"
(Y/N) got out of bed, put on a shirt, and started to walk the halls of the mansion. He followed the screaming, and eventually turned a corner to see the girls in fight stances. He was worried for a second, but when he saw Kazuma in front of a small succubus, he connected the dots.
Megumin: "(Y/N)! It's good you're here!"
Aqua: "Kazuma had been possessed by that succubus!"
(Y/N): "Oh my god."
The succubus spoke up behind Kazuma.
Succubus: "Sir, this came about because my inexperience, and my failure to break in. I can't let you humiliate yourself, so I will accept my elimination."
Kazuma: "No. Run away."
Succubus: "What?"
Kazuma got into a fighting stance.
Kazuma: "There are just some things you have to protect."
(Y/N): 'Think, dammit, think! You gotta help, but still be inconspicuous!.....That's it!'
(Y/N) ran past the girls and at Kazuma. He grappled him, but made sure to only hold him in place to talk to him. He quickly whispered to him.
(Y/N): "Listen, I have a plan. If you can hold off the girls for a minute, I can make sure she lives."
Kazuma: "Got it."
(Y/N): "Alright, throw me on the ground next to her."
Kazuma did as asked and pushed (Y/N) next to the succubus. Kazuma jumped in the air towards the girls. (Y/N) grabbed the small succubus, and made a believable jump through the window. As they plummeted to the ground, he held the girl tight and upright, so she wouldn't feel much of the impact.
(Y/N): "Fuckin christ! Yikes, I'm glad that jump wasn't any higher."
Succubus: "Why?"
(Y/N): "Why what?"
Succubus: "Why did you help me escape?"
(Y/N): "Because you were someone in need, who couldn't help themselves. He's right you know, there are some things you just have to protect."
Succubus: "Won't your companions be angry?"
(Y/N): "Eh, it doesn't really bother me. Life's for my own to live my own way."
Succubus: "Thank you. I am eternally grateful."
The succubus jumped up and kissed (Y/N) on the cheek, and then flew off into the night. His smile faded soon.
(Y/N): "Wait just one goddamn second. She could fly? I didn't have to jump. I'm such a dumbass."
He slowly made his way back inside.
(Timeskip)
When (Y/N) woke up this time, it was really morning. He could hear Darkness and Kazuma shouting about something in the yard. He guessed it was about last night. He made his way down the stairs and outside towards Kazuma. He put his hand on Kazuma's shoulder.
Kazuma: "Huh?"
(Y/N): "You're a good man, Kazuma."
Kazuma: "Thanks?"
(Y/N): "The next time you buy a dream, let me know. I'll buy you a night at the inn, you deserve it."
Kazuma: "Thank you so m7ch! I might just buy one for-"
Suddenly, Luna's voice cut through the air. It was an announcement.
Luna: "Destroyer alert! Destroyer alert!"
(Y/N): "We're fucked."
