Mason's POV

I leave and start walking. I had every intention of going for a run, but before I know it, I end up at Liam's again.

I knock, and Nora answers after a minute.

"You looked pissed" she says, motioning me in.

"I am"

"Hey Liam!" She yells up the stairs.

"Just because Savannah isn't here, doesn't mean you can wear me out, doll face. Three times in one morning is quite enough" he yells from upstairs.

Nora's face turns bright red. I can't help myself. I chuckle a little.

"Get your ass down here" she yells

"Ok, but I can't promise an A+ performance. You're cute, but you're making me tired" he says, walking down the stairs, seeing me immediately.

"Whoops!" He cackles, jumping down the last three steps and coming over.

He sees Nora, and laughs even harder. "I embarrassed her, huh?" He snorts.

"Yeah" I say, still smirking. I can't help it. It's hard to be in a bad mood around Liam. He oozes stupid. The best kind of stupid.

"Well, I really can't perform with an audience. I get stage fright. The encore will just have to wait, schnookums"

"You can be a one-man band after this" she says, smacking his butt and walking upstairs.

Liam cackles all over again. "Man I love her. What's up, buttercup?" He asks with a grin.

"Do you have enough energy after all your sex today to help a guy with a problem?"

"How big we talking?"

"I'm going to be spanking Josie momentarily."

"Oof. No. Imma need some sustenance" he says as he goes into the kitchen.

I follow him, and he starts making us some sandwiches.

He throws a bag of chips at me and gives me a soda. Once he has the sandwiches made and he takes a bite...he nods.

"Lay it on me, BFF"

I sigh as I tell him the whole story.

"Woah" he finally says, getting serious for the first time.

"Yeah. Not only have I pissed off a really good friend, I have to spank her. I HAVE TO SPANK HER"

Liam licks mustard off of his finger and shakes his head. "You could have Taylor do it"

I shake my head, too. "No. I've gotta do it"

He nods as he thinks of what to say.

"What are you wanting from me right now? Advice? You want me to just listen while you vent?"

"I guess I just needed to vent"

He nods, waiting for me to continue.

"It's just not fair. When do I get to have my life with Sasha and Drew? I'm so sick of cleaning up mom and dad's mess." I say, slamming my soda can on the counter.

Liam just silently stares at me, listening.

"I have to see my mom this weekend. I don't want to, but I have to, because they need it. When is it about what I need?"

Liam silently takes another sip of soda, and eats a chip.

"You can talk now" I snap.

He nods. "Want tough love, or encouragement?"

"What are you wanting to give me?"

"Tough love" he says with a smirk.

I nod. "Let's have it"

He nods and sighs. "I think how you just said it was a really dick way to say it"

I just look at him, confused.

"You don't get to have a life with just Sasha and Drew. Josie and Dylan are in your life too. That was YOUR decision. They're not an inconvenience, they're kids. Quit being so damn resentful of them."

"Also, when you're a parent, it's never about you. It sucks, but that's how it is. Those days are over. You put your family first, always."

"I do" I argue.

Liam nods. "Yeah, you're doing an amazing job. You just need to change your mindset. It's making you bitter."

"Dang. Guess I should have asked for encouragement" I say quietly.

"Ok, you got it. "You're doing an amazing job. I'm already seeing a huge improvement in Dylan. You handled it correctly with Josie. You FOUGHT FOR HER. Lance will get over it. Nobody will fight for your kids, YOU have to. You know how many times my mom pissed someone off to protect me? To
have my back? Josie would have been expelled if it wasn't for you. You did it RIGHT. You're also punishing her. You're not letting her get away with it. You're doing it RIGHT."

I sniff and look at my half-eaten sandwich.

"It's going to really suck when you don't live right next door anymore" I say after a couple minutes of silence.

"Why, you moving?"

I nod. "Hoping to in half a year. I've got enough for a pretty kick-ass ring. I've got my savings built back up. I'm about ready to ask her to marry me. That's why I went off, I think. Putting Jocelyn back in private school would have drained me. I would have been back at the bottom. I'm such an ass"

"Not an ass. You just want to be able to provide for your family"

"Well, it's my turn. Any problems I can help you with?" I ask, giving him a smirk.

He chuckles. "Well, once you leave, I'm gonna try to get back in with the group. The one-man band stuff is no fun. How does one get the energy for four times in a couple hour span?"

I snort. "Sounds like you're living the life if that's your only problem."

He shakes his head. "Yeah, well, it's been a hard year and a half. I'm glad that's my only problem." He says seriously.

I nod as I squeeze his shoulder. "Wish me luck"

"You don't need it. It's ok to be nervous, Mason. I was when I spanked Savannah for the first time."

I go over to Megan's house, and Wes opens the door right away.

"You ok?" He asks.

"No. Is she still over here?"

Wes nods as he moves to the side.

I go in, and see her sitting next to Izzy. They are both Freshman, and they have become friends.

"Let's go" I say darkly.

Josie says nothing as she stands up and follows me home.

When we get in the house, I ignore Taylor and Ellie's stares. "Is Sasha upstairs?" I ask them.

They just nod. "Come on" I say, grabbing her arm and going upstairs.

We get upstairs, and Dylan follows behind us. I look at him hard. "Go down and play the switch with Taylor"

He just shakes his head. "No" he says simply.

I ignore him. Can't fault a kid for wanting to make sure his sister is ok. He doesn't even know I'm spanking her yet. He still thinks Taylor is doing it.

"Have a seat, Jocelyn" I say darkly. She wipes a tear away already, and sits down next to me. She looks at her lap.

"Look at me" I say darkly.

She does, and her eyes are swimming with tears. "Do you know how much you messed up?" I ask her seriously.

She just nods.

"Principal Mills convinced the board not to expel you"

She actually looks upset. "So I can't go back to my old school?"

I'm suddenly seeing red. "WAS THAT WHY YOU DID THIS?!?"

She quickly shakes her head. "No. But after hearing I was going to be expelled, I was hoping.

"You are never going back to your old school, Josie.
I can't afford it."

She says nothing.

"We will discuss your full punishment later. Sasha, how long has she lost her phone for?" I ask, looking at Sasha.

Sasha looks at me, surprised.

"She can have it back when she starts driving." She says after a second.

I nod and look at Josie. Her mouth is hanging open. "A YEAR?!?" She yells.

I just shrug. "Right now, you can't be trusted with a phone. There's no reason you need one, anyways. Ellie and I work at the school. If you need something, you can find one of us.

She starts crying, and crosses her arms. She's furious.

"I'm going to be the one to spank you, Josie" I finally say.

I see Dylan's mouth drop open.

"You made me get spanked by Taylor twice, and I begged you to do it. Now you're doing it to her? How is that fair?"

"Well, Dylan, I can practice on you if you would like" I snap.

He says nothing as he glares at me.

Josie is already starting to cry. "Please don't. I promise I won't ever do it again."

I shake my head. "There is nothing you can say to make me change my mind. In just a minute, we are going in your room, with Sasha, and I'm spanking you."

She is crying even harder, and wiping her eyes.

"Go change into shorts. You've got two minutes." I say, trying to sound more confident than I feel. I'm not confident. I'm panicked.

She quickly gets up as she does what I've said.

I go over to Sasha, about to throw up. "I don't know how to do this" I whisper.

"You've seen it done. You will be fine."

I take a deep breath, and nod. I don't want to at all.

"Will you please come in with me?"

She just silently nods.

After a minute, we go in. Josie is lying on her side, staring at the wall.

"Sit up" I say, sitting on the edge of the bed.

She does, and wipes away more tears.

"You know I don't want to do this, right?"

"Then don't" she begs.

I shake my head. "I have to. What you did was awful."

She sniffs, saying nothing.

"You are in huge trouble, young lady. It's not just the spanking. This is just the start of it for you."

I wait for her to say something, but she doesn't.

"Alright, come on" I say, ignoring the pit in my stomach.

She just looks at me.

"What?" I ask

"I don't know what to do." She says, embarrassed.

"Stand up"

She sniffs as she gets off the bed and stands up.

At this point, I'm basically just going off of what Taylor did to Dylan. I grab her wrist and I guide her so she's standing in front of me. Then I grab her waist and pull her until she has her stomach on my lap.

She lifts her legs up and puts them on the bed. She doesn't know what she's doing, I don't know what I'm doing, it's all awkward.

I adjust her so she is in the right position. Then I look at Sasha.

Sasha can tell that I don't know what to do next.

She comes over silently and pushes Josie's back down, making her butt go in the air more.

"Dad always gripped me tight with his left arm" she says softly.

I nod as I do what she says. I bring Josie's body closer to me, and then look at Sasha again. Sasha just nods.

"Are there any rules?" Sasha asks quietly.

Crap. What were the rules that Taylor gave? I can't remember.

Sasha steps in. "Josie, don't put your hands back. Don't fight him."

She just nods.

Sasha goes back by the desk, and I try to get my nerve.

"Ready Jos?" I finally ask.

She shakes her head.

"Well, we're doing it anyways" I say as I smack her butt once. Was that too hard? Not hard enough? I have no idea.

I smack her again, and she isn't doing anything. She isn't flinching, she isn't making noises, nothing.

"Harder Mason" Sasha says gently.

Damn. I was afraid of that.

My third smack comes down hard. Josie immediately lets out a yelp, and tightens her body.

This is going to be awful.
