Y/N walked up to the entrance and was met by a waitress
"Table for one?" The lady asked fixing her apron.
"Two actually" Y/N corrected holding onto her backpack straps
"Oh date?" The waitress smiled and leaned into her desk
"Nope science project" Y/N said with an awkward smile.
"Oh well then right this way" the waitress grabbed two menus and lead the way to a booth.
Y/N sat down and open her backpack to get out her science journal.
"Want anything to drink while you wait?" The waitress smiled softly
"Shirley Temple please" Y/N grinned widely
(A/N: A Shirley temple is sprite with cherries, it'll play to your nickname)
"Will do I'll be right back" the waitress walked away

Aidan walked up to the entrance and saw Y/N sipping her drink scrolling through tiktok. He decided it would be a great decision to scare her.
He walked up behind her stealthily and grabbed her shoulders "Boo!"
"Jesus" Y/N inhaled her drink and Aidan laughed as he sat down on the other side of the booth.
"Ah alright we should get started" Aidan brought himself back up
"Yeah" Y/N grabbed the napkin and whipped her face with it "So why did you wanna choose climate change?" Y/N asked curiously. Normally the boys in her grade would wanna do something stupid.
"I-uhm-" Aidan tried to find the right words. He couldn't necessarily reveal himself but he did however come up with the right words to use, "Well I'm really passionate about the environment so I thought it be great to like do a project on it"
Y/N nodded along "that's fantastic, I'm really glad that I have a partner who will actually help do the work" Y/N laughed thinking of her friend Kelsey who would normally sleep during the assignments and leave Y/N to do all the work.
"I guess so, I have some great websites we can check out" Aidan said as he brought out his laptop.

2 hours later
"Great I think we have some information so we can get started soon" Y/N released her pencil from her hands and grabbed a French fry from an tray on their table
"Yeah, uhm, if you want we can head to my house and finish?" Aidan offered
"Oh duh let me text my mom" Y/N reached for her phone in her sweatshirt pocket
Ding Ding Ding Ding
Aidans phone went off rapidly "oh shit,shit,shit..." he responded quickly getting his phone and turning it off
"Geez how many notifications was that" Y/N laughed setting her phone on the table
"I don't even know" Aidan shrugged putting his phone back in his pocket
"Woah Mr.Popularity" Y/N surrendered her hands
"More drink for you miss" the waitress from earlier asked
"Oh yess please" Y/N handed her her drink cup
"And for you-" the waitress stared at Aidan dumbfounded
Y/N sat there looking at the waitress confused.
Aidan tensed up forcing a smile, 'God Damnit please don't know who I am'
As if the waitress read his mind she shook her head and finished her sentence "And what would you like uhm sir"
"Just water would be nice" Aidan relaxed a bit
"I'll be back in a gif" the waitress smiled at them then took a small glance at Aidan before leaving
"Uh that was weird she stared at you like you were some celebrity" Y/N laughed
Aidan faked a laugh "Yeah kinda funny" he then looked down at his feet
Y/N noticed his odd behavior " you okay?" She reached for his hand
Aidan looked up, and nodded taking his hand that was under hers and placing it on his neck "Yeah I'm fine uhm let's go back to my place"
The boy stood up closing his laptop and placing it in his backpack
"But what about my drink" Y/N frowned
"We'll get it in the way out" Aidan swung his backpack around him
"Dumbass we have to pay" Y/N slide her journal back into her backpack
"I got it, just let's go" Aidan helped her with her things
"Okay okay" Y/N sighed

Y/N walked along sipping her drink while Aidan finished his a while back
"You really like Shirley temples Huh" Aidan broke the silence
Y/N hummed "sure do, I get them all the time I go there, it's a comfort drink. Plus I like eating the cherries" Y/N smiled and sipped her drink again
As if a light bulb went of in Aidans head he replied "I just got an idea"
Y/N looked at him
"Your nickname is cherry" Aidan looked at her grinning
"Oh great" Y/N said sarcastically
"Oh here we are" Aidan made it to his house "come on in"
