I spin around to meet my mothers eyes, looking at me with reverence, tears bringing the rim of her eyes.
"I knew you would make it," she exclaimed with pride in her voice.
The flutter in my stomach unable to come to a halt. It all felt so surreal. My life was utterly changed in a matter of seconds. The sound of the letter quietly thumping down on our hallway mat, my mother rushing from the small livingroom to the door and her high-pitched shriek when she realized what it was. An acceptance that her worst fear was no more than that, a fear. Fear that her controversial act would have ruined my chances of ever being able to experience the fullness of the life that being a wizard was.
I threw myself in her arms, an overwhelming wave of emotions hitting me.
I got in.
Little did I know this would be the start of the most ruinous series of events that would happen to me, my mother and the entire world.
