Jennifer's POV
I woke up in Mikey's bed, and I sat up. Why am I here? I stood up and walked downstairs.
I walked into the living room to see Mikey laying on the couch, with his phone is his hand. He looked up from his phone and saw me.
"Oh, good morning." He said, quickly putting his phone away.
"Good morning... Why did I wake up in your bed?" I asked.
Mikey sat up. "I may or may not have carried you up there once you fell asleep on the couch last night, trying to get me to go upstairs and sleep."
"Mikey! Now I feel bad that I took your spot in bed!"
"It's fine. It's fine. I was perfectly fine sleeping down here."
I sat down next to him. "I have a question...."
"Ask away."
"Why are you being such a gentleman?" I asked, truthfully.
Mikey's POV
Once Jennifer asked that question.... I was worried about how I would answer. I can't tell her the truth, or she'll know about the crush I have on her.
"Uh...." I said.
"Just tell me, I won't judge. I'm just curious." She said.
"It's because I want the best for you so maybe your memories will come back sooner!" I said, telling a somewhat truth.
Jennifer's POV
Oh... I guess I just got my hopes up... He'll never like me.
"Oh, okay." I said.
"Gosh Jen! You'll know he'll never like you!" I heard someone say in my head. It wasn't my conscious, but it wasn't a voice I recognized.
I shrugged off the thought.
"Oh okay??" Mikey asked, interrupting my train of thought. "We're you expecting something else....?"
"No no. I wasn't." I said, trying to hide the fact that I may have a crush on him.
"You sure??"
"Yep."
"Okay." He said.
We lost our conversation and started to watch tv.
*later that day, in the evening*
I sat up from the Disney movie marathon Mikey and I had and stretched a bit, so did Mikey.
Mikey stood up and picked up the empty pizza box from the table and walked into the kitchen to throw it away.
I took out my phone and saw that I had a couple missed calls from my mom. I got a bit nervous.
"Uh oh, seems like little Jennifer is getting in trouble." The voice in my head said, again it wasn't my conscious, it was that voice I heard earlier in the day.
I ignored the voice and called my parents back. I clicked on mom's name, and the phone started to ring.
After a couple rings, my mom answered the call.
"Mom?" I asked. "Sorry I didn't answer before I guess my phone was on mute."
"Sweetie, you have to come home... I have some news..." She said, sounding a bit down.
"Mom? Is everything alright?"
"I think you should come home."
"Okay mom, I'll be over in a minute." I said.
"Okay sweetie." She said and ended the call.
I stood up and walked over to the kitchen. I saw Mikey and he turned around to face me. "Sorry I gotta go, my mom wants me home right now." I said. "I would be glad to finish the marathon soon though okay?"
"Okay Jen, see you next time." He said and smiled.
I gave him a quick hug and I left the house and walked home.
What's up with my mom? Why is she acting up?
