Scroll through random chats
And I'd stop for a second
And stare at our unfinished one
Maybe I'd open the chat
Or scroll past
Or close the window
Or throw the phone away
But the keyboard won't open
At least not from my side
They say people change
You metamorphosed
Into something I never imagined
Every line feels forced
Every conversation ends with a sigh
Awkward moments
Awkward silences
Someday I'd come by a song
I'd copy the link
And open the chat
Only to realise I can't send you
I may even type something
And delete before hitting send
Those unspoken words
On some lonely nights
I'd miss you and want to talk
And then realise you're not there
And one of these days,
My hands will accidentally
Scroll through random chats
And I'd stop for a second
And stare at our unfinished one
You've replaced me
Outgrown me
And it's okay (not)
It was never okay
And I end up thinking
Where I went wrong?
And I'd seek help somewhere
To ward off these clouds
They say forget
I say...wow!
They say ignore
I say how?
And they say a habit takes
Twenty one days to form
Maybe in another twenty one days
I'd leave the addiction
Of your words
You're happy now
More lively
More open
More cheerful
Something I've tried and tried
And now showered on people
Who fake praise you
And you'd never know
Or maybe you do
You enjoy the limelight
And one of these days,
My hands will accidentally
Scroll through random chats
And I'd stop for a second

Again left unfinished.
