^ Ayira's Dress not the person itself just the dress!..
I looked up at the building and sighed.
And here we are.. at the stupid honor party that was probably a trick. But no Korra is just being stubborn AF.
We all walked inside and were met with people in former clothes.
So that's why I had to dress up..
Tenzin, Korra and I walked further and Pema and the kids splitted up going different ways. People started applausing around us.
'I can't believe this is all for me.' Korra said with a bit of shock.
'I'm not sure what Tarrlok's plotting, but keep your guard up.' I said with unease.
'Ayira is right. I'ts not like him to throw a party just for the fun of it.' Tenzin continued. I saw Tarrlok walking up to us.
'Speaking of the devil..' I mumble. Korra let out a little chuckle and turned around to face Tarrlok.
'So glad you could make it, avatar Korra and you too Ayira.' He said with a cocky smile.
'Hm..' was all I said to him and his eyes focused on mine for a while. When he turned back to Korra he started talking again.
'If you'll excuse us the city awaits its hero.' He let his hand slide behind Korra's back and took her with him. I stood still gazing upon them walking to an older man. I heard a gasp beside me and turned Tenzin's way.
'Meelo, No! That is not a toilet! Oh, dear.' He walked away in the direction where Meelo was. I couldn't help but chuckle. Meelo is such a troublemaker.
I turned my gaze back to Korra who now was being introduced to the old man by Tarrlok. Most people would think 'why are you so protective over her?' The thing is.. Tarrlok is up to no good and I just know it. How do I know it? Because I can feel it..
My gaze never left Korra until I saw in the corner of my eyes a person that I knew all to well... I turned my head to face him but saw that he was not there anymore and when I looked back where Korra stood she was gone.. and so was Tarrlok.
I looked around but she was nowhere to be found.. so I looked for Tenzin and saw him talking to chief Beifong. My feet went as fast as they could. When I ended up before them they turned their faces my way.
'Where is Korra? She's not in the crowd anymore..' I asked with concern.
'Don't worry shes with Tarrlok.' Lin answered.
'That's what I'm worried about..' I mumbled.
That's when I heard the crowd talking loud and I turned to see Tarrlok and Korra on the stairs. Camera lights were flickering like crazy. I looked up and saw that Tarrlok had his cocky grin on his face again and by that I knew that this was not gonna end well..
I saw him talking to Korra and he suggested her to talk with them. In Korra's eyes I could see that she didn't want to talk and answer questions. She wanted to say something but got pushed in her back and in a no time she stood before the crowd.
I looked at Tenzin and saw his eyes widen. He knew too that this was not gonna end well and there was nothinf that Korra could do..
'Avatar Korra, you witnessed Amon take away people's bending firsthand. How serious of a treat does he pose to the innocent citizens of Republic City?'
Korra looked around and stopped when she met my eyes. I saw that she didn't knew what to say and that she wanted to just run away.. but she know she couldn't. She looked back at the crowd of journalists and cleared her throat.
'I think he presents a real problem.' Korra said in a monotone voice.
Tarrlok turned his head to the side to look me in the eyes. He had a sheepish grin on his face and I snarled. He turned his gaze back to Korra. Something says to me that he knew that if Korra joined I would join too..
'Then why have you refused to join Tarrlok's task force? As the avatar, shouldn't you be going after Amon?' Another journalist asked to Korra.
'Well, I-' Korra tried to answer but got interupted by the same journalist. A bright flash caught Korra by suprise and she blinked of the bright light.
'Why are you backing away from this fight?'
I couldn't just stand here to watch as Korra humiliates herself. I ran to the crowd and pushed myself threw. When I got on the stairs they all stared at me like I was crazy. I went to stand by Korra's side.
'Korra has never backed away from anything in her whole life. Stop accusing her with lies.' I said with irritated and a stern tone.
'She promised to serve this city, isn't she going back on that promise now?' Another journalist asked to me.
'Do you think that pro bending is more important than fighting the revolution?' One journalist asked to Korra in an attacking way.
'How do you think avatar Aang would have handled this?'
'Are you afraid of Amon?' And that was the line for Korra.
'I'm not afraid of Anybody!' She yelled to them to come over their voices. I looked at her and saw that she was going to say something that she would regret.
'Please Korra.. don't do this.' I whispered to her. I felt a hand on my shoulder and a breath against my ear.
'There is nothing you can do..' whispered the voice of Tarrlok. My anger came rising up but I tried to hold it.
'If the city needs me, then-'
'Korra no! Stop.' I whispered a little loud to her.
'- I'll join Tarrlok's task force and help fight Amon..' She said with a stern tone. Tarrlok walked to her side and pushed me aside he put a hand around Korra and ended on her left shoulder.
'There's your headline, folks!' The audience was going wild and I couldn't keep myself together anymore.
I grabbed Tarrlok's arm with force and turned him around. His face was met by my fist and that's when his cocky smile disappeared. He fell down on the ground and looked up at me in shock.
Chief Beifong walked up to me and grabbed me by my arm. She dragged me with her and everybody stared at me but that's when I saw the person that I didn't want to see again... Amon stood in the doorway and he was slowly applauding. I bet that he had a smirk under that mask. A snarl left my mouth.
We went into a hallway and she let go of my arm. She looked at me with a stern look on her face.
'What the hell is wrong with you.' She said with an angry tone.
'What's wrong with me? You mean what is wrong with everyone! Why can't nobody see that Tarrlok has some kind of plan!' I said with anger.
'You know what you did back there? You punched a councilman Ayira!'
'It's not like he didn't deserve it!' I scolded. Lin looked down and sighed. Tenzin appeared behind a corner and walked our way.. but he didn't seem that angry. He stopped infront of me.
'What was that? You can't just punch him infront of a crowd.' Tenzin said in disbelief.
'I did what everyone was scared to do.' I said to defend myself. Tenzin's eyes widened and looked at Lin. He took a deep breath.
'Hey Lin. You look absolutely stunning today.' He said in a weird tone.
'Cut the crap Tenzin. You know that I can't let her get away with it.' She said with a stern tone.
'Oh come on. I know you wanted to do it too.' I said to her.
'That doesn't mean that I would do it.' She said to defend herself.
'See you're all to scared to punch him, but I'm not.' I said with a small grin on my face.
'Wipe that grin of your face. I won't give you a big punishment but you have to join Tarrlok's task force.'
My mouth opened wide. Is she serious right now?
'Not a big punishment? Your kidding right. That's the worst punishment that I could think of.' I said with irritation.
'Ayira do as Lin says. This way you can always keep an eye on Korra.' Tenzin said with a serious tone.
'Fine but only because I don't trust him around Korra.' I said in defeat.
