In which Professor L/n reminisces on the past of being a Marauder
Y/n POV:
"Good morning students." I greeted.
"Good morning Professor." They chorused.
"Today, we are going to do things a little different. Everyone passed the last test with an E or an O, so today is sort of a free day. I usually don't talk my life, so you all can ask anything you would like." I announced. Everyone seemed to be excited.
"Okay, who's first." I said jumping to sit on my desk. Everyone raised their hand at the same time, which made me laugh.
"Ron." I pointed out.
"What house were you in?" He asked.
"How about you all guess, first person to get it right can ask the next question."
"Slytherin." Draco called out.
"No way, she was a Gryffindor." Harry responded.
"You give me Hufflepuff vibes." Ginny said.
"Ravenclaw." Hermione said.
"Correct Ms. Granger. I was the first Ravenclaw in a family of Hufflepuffs. But my family was still supportive." I answered. "Now, you have the next question."
"Were you friends with Sirius Black?" She asked.
"Yes I was, we were betrothed before he got disowned, but neither of us liked each other in that way." I answered.
"Oh, I've got one." Fred shouted.
"Yes Fred." I smiled.
"Were you a Marauder, because there are 5 names on the map and we don't know the last name." He asked.
"I was. The only female and Ravenclaw marauder. The five of us were best friends when we went to school." I answered. "It was quite the experience."
~Flashback~
It was around 3am and I was in my dorm, when I heard the door open. I was a prefect so I had my own dorm, so it wasn't a roommate. I looked up to see the door was open, but no one was there.
"Hello." I called out. Nothing. I heard some noises, but still not seeing anyone.
"I know someone is in here." I called.
"I swear to Rowena, Sirius is that you?" I asked. Then out comes Sirius, Remus, James and Peter out of James cloak.
"Hello love." Sirius said.
"What you guys doing here, it's 3am. I was sleeping." I whisper-yelled.
"James had a nightmare." Remus said.
"No I didn't." James scowled.
"You did Prongs, and we thought if we came here, we could all have a sleepover." Sirius suggested.
"I'll get the sleeping bags." I sighed getting out of bed. "You all owe me."
~End of Flashback~
"You all would have sleepovers?" Ron joked.
"It happened at least once a week." I answered. "Someone would have a nightmare and they would all come to my dorm. Luckily I was a prefect, because I don't think my dorm mates would enjoy four boys sleeping on the floor."
"It wasn't once a week, probably once every two weeks." Remus called from the doorway.
"One too many times. How do 16 year old boys get scared at night and they have to come to me for night time stories." I laughed.
"If I remember correctly, James and Peter were the only ones who had nightmares." Remus answered.
"You all know Professor Lupin." I said to the class. "Come join us, we're talking about my Hogwarts days."
"Gladly, Mrs. Marauder." Remus walked towards my chair.
"Mrs. Marauder?" Harry asked.
"I was the only girl in the Marauders and everyone seemed I was dating one or more of them. But I was with someone else. The boys called me Claws due to my leopard animagus." I laughed.
"Professor L/n helped us turn into animagus." Remus said.
"Really?" Ginny asked.
"It was illegal though, it wasn't documented by the Ministry. Still isn't." I laughed.
"Did you do pranks with them?" George asked.
"I was the brains of the operation. If James or Sirius thought of the plans, they would get caught more often." I smiled.
"If you weren't dating any of the Marauders, who were you with." Ginny asked.
I smiled at the memories. "He was his house's seeker. He was good, almost as James good. A writer, he would write poems and leave them in my bag. He didn't have a good family. So when we first started dating, it was hard for him to communicate with me. He never learned how to truly love so for him, it was hard to express his feeling."
"When I was 17 and he was 16. He got into some dark magic and was roped into the Dark Lord. He was stupid, for that." I started to tear up.
"Claws, you don't have to talk about this." He whispered.
"It's alright, I need to talk about it." I sniffed.
"He became a death eater. At 16. He was always intrigued by the Dark Lord. He was the only death eater he was family, but his parents supported the ideas of the Lord. But after he joined, he thought about leaving because his mistreated house-elf. Wanting to please the Dark Lord, he would do anything. But when his house-elf was almost killed by a locket, he found out it was a horcrux, the reason for the Dark Lord's immortality."
"When he was 18, him and his house-elf were able to make a fake locket and intended to destroy the real one. When he did go to destroy it, he was dragged to death by the Inferi. In the end, the locket was never destroyed."
"You dated Regulus Black?" Draco asked.
"I did." I whispered.
"Though I didn't agree with a lot of things in the end, he was a true hero." I answered. "We suppose get married that month."
"You never told me that." Remus replied.
"I didn't tell that to anyone. Even though I wasn't a Slytherin, they were okay with the fact I was a pureblood Ravenclaw." I answered.
"Alright, enough with me being sad. Who else has any questions?" I announced to the class.
"Who was your favorite Marauder." George asked.
"Easy. James. He was a lovesick puppy towards Lily. Would do anything she asked. Even though Lily would always deny her feelings towards him, I knew deep down, she truly loved him. The boys and I had bet to see if they would end up getting married. Sirius and I won the bet. I was 10 galleons richer on their wedding day." I answered.
"Did you play quidditch?" Ginny asked.
"I did. I was Ravenclaw captain and keeper, no one could get a goal in with me guarding. We won the House Cup three years in a row before getting beat my Gryffindor in sixth year." I said.
"I have time for one more question before your next class, so who is it going to be?" I asked.
"Harry." I called.
"Can you show us your animagus form?" He asked.
"Not today, but soon. I would have to be outside for that. Maybe I might come visit during Care of Magical Creatures and everyone can see." I smirked. "Well that is it for today, we'll get back to work next class. You're free to go." Everyone got up, grabbed their bags and walked out the door.
"You miss him, don't you." Remus said once the last student walked out.
"It's our anniversary today." I played with the ring he got me.
"I know." Remus whispered.
"I just miss him." I bursted into tears. Remus walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me and let me cry.
"I know Claws. I know. But he would be so proud of you right." He whispered.
"He always said I was good with children." I answered.
"How about after your last class, we got to the Three Broomsticks for butterbeer, like old times." Remus suggested.
"Yeah, I like that." I answered.
