Coming from the south, Tim wasn't very fond of fancy, 5-star restaurant cuisine. He was more than happy with a $5 delivery pizza. When his sister mentioned that they would be taking a cooking class in the middle of Los Angeles, California, he knew that he was in for a treat. He would be surprised if he had even seen most of the things they would be cooking with.

"Do I have to eat it?" He asked his sister as he parked the vehicle.

"Yes, Tim! It would be rude not to." She exclaimed.

"Not technically. If I'm the one cooking, I can't hurt my feelings." He raised his eyebrow.

His sister, Emily, rolled her eyes, stepping out of his truck. As their whole family entered the building, Tim began to feel a little out of place by all of the expensive furniture and decor.

They were immediately greeted by a young woman with long, blonde hair. She smiled, straightening her apron.

"Hi! My name is Kirstin Maldonado. I am a chef and caterer here. I assume you are the Foust family?" She asked, sweetly.

Emily nodded, making Kirstie smile once more. "Great. The kitchen is just this way, follow me." She motioned, leading them to the room.

Tim doesn't mow how long he stood there alone, with his mouth hanging open. He had quite possibly just seen the most beautiful girl in the world and now he would have to stay in the same room with her for 2 hours. He was definitely going to make a fool of himself.

"Tim! Come on!" His mother yelled.

He was snapped out of his trance by her words, making his way to the rest of his family. Once they had all gathered in the kitchen, Kirstie handed everyone an apron.

Tim eyed the fabric, not wanting to wear it. Kirstie eyed him, "You're going to want to put that on. It's probably going to get messy in here."

She didn't have to tell him twice. His apron was on in a matter of seconds. Kirstie chuckled softly, walking behind the counter.

"So, today, we are going to learn how to make Garlic Cauliflower Fettuccini Alfredo." She explained, grabbing the ingredients.

"Uh, I only know one of those words." Tim said, raising his hand.

"Don't worry, you'll learn." Kirstie told him, handing him a small basket of ingredients.

Tim had been trying to feed the pasta dough in the machine for at least 5 minutes now. Walking over, Kirstie tried to hold in a laugh, "You're putting it in the wrong way. That's the back." She pointed to the end he had been trying to shove the dough through.

He groaned, rolling his eyes. "That explains a lot."

Kirstie chuckled, patting him on the shoulder, going to check on the others.

If he hadn't been paying attention, he would have rolled his fingers into the machine, for he had gotten distracted from by touch.

When all of the pasta had been rolled out, they put it into pans, so it could cook. "Now we can make the Alfredo sauce. You guys are doing great so far, this should be easy." Kirstie explained.

"I don't know about that, now." Tim said, scratching the back of his neck.

"Awe, Country Boy. It's just a little cream, butter, and garlic." Kirstie teased.

Tim's face flushed at the nickname as he tried to laugh it off, not wanting anyone to notice his embarrassment.

"I hate to say it, but this actually tastes good." Tim chuckled.

"You hear that guys? Country Boy approves." Kirstie cheered, laughing along with his family.

"It has been a great session with you all. I hope you guys can come back and join me next time you guys are back in LA. I would really appreciate it." She continued.

"We would love to come back." Emily smiled.

"I would enjoy that." Kirstie eyed Tim for a second, before clearing her throat. "Um, I have bags in the back if you guys would like one to take your food in."

"Oh, that would be great. Thank you." Tim's mother exclaimed.

Moments later, Kirstie came back out, handing each one of them a paper bag. Tim eyed the top of his, seeing that something had been written on it. Realizing it was the girl's number, his eyes widened.

Looking up, he locked eyes with Kirstie, who had a grin on her face.

"Something wrong, Tim?" Emily asked, noticing his shocked expression.

"Oh, uh. No. Nothings wrong." He told her as he folded the bag quickly, so she wouldn't see what was on the bag.

Kirstie laughed, covering her mouth. "Um, It's been great having you guys here. I guess that concludes the class. I hope you enjoyed it."

"I sure did." Tim mumbled, smiling.

They all said their goodbyes to Kirstie and made their way out of the kitchen. Well, everyone but Tim.
He stayed behind to have a word with her.

"Country Boy, huh?" He asked.

She shrugged, "I just saw that you were wearing boots. And you have a Southern accent."

"I don't have an accent." Tim furrowed his brows.

"Sure you don't." Kirstie rolled her eyes, jokingly.

They were interrupted by Emily, who had came back in the room. "Tim, are you coming? Mom's waiting."

"Oh, um. Yeah." He told her.

Once she had left, Tim sighed, "Well, it looks like I am being summoned."

Kirstie nodded, "It seems like it."

"I guess this is goodbye.." He trailed off awkwardly.

"I guess so." She agreed.

"Um, see you around?" He asked.

"Tim, you don't live here." Kirstie laughed.

"Oh.. right. Uh.. I will be sure to text you."

Kirstie smiled, nodding once again. "Bye, Tim."

"Bye..." He didn't want to leave, but he knew that his family had been waiting. Waving to Kirstie, he left the kitchen only to run into Emily as soon as he turned the corner.

"Baby brother got the pretty girls number?" She teased.

"Shut up." Tim grumbled, turning red.

Emily laughed, pushing him slightly as they walked back to their vehicle. Tim opted out of driving, seeing as he was too distracted by the brown eyed beauty.

"I still don't know what a fettuccine is." He abruptly thought.
