Evelyn's POV

I was walking through the hallway, alone. Luke, Blake and Amy are busy with their soccer practice as their match is in the next week. Blake and I are better than before. We do tease each other but at least we are not fighting like before.

Cat and dog.

That's what Luke used to describe our fights.

"You fight like cats and dogs." Was what he said while rolling his eyes.

Smiling, I walked to the table where my friends and Blake were sitting while holding a tray in my hands. Just when I was a foot away from my table, the newbie appeared.

"Hey handsome." She smiled flirty-ly towards Blake. Blake just rolled his eyes and scoffed.

"Go away, Rebecca." He said in an arrogant tone.

"Hmm. Anyways, I just came to let you guys know that there's a party at my house today and you're invited." She then turned to Blake again. "I'll be waiting for you." With that she walked away, throwing a disgusted look in my direction.

I took my seat beside Blake. Since Luke and Amy are always sitting together, Blake and I sit together.

"Hi." I smiled at all of them. Blake smiled back.

Oof!

"Hey Evelyn." They said. We then started eating.

After lunch, Blake and I were walking to our classes. I really wanted to know if he was going to the party. So, I decided to ask him straight.

"Hey...um....are you going to Rebecca's party?" I asked, biting my lip. He sighed heavily.

"Yeah. Trust me, I don't want to. But, I have to." I just nodded. I didn't know what to say further. He looked at me for a moment and I, for the first time ever, felt self-conscious.

I mean.

What?

"Will you come along?" He asked out of blue. I just stared at him in disbelief. Then, shook my head.

"Nope." I said. He raised an eyebrow.

"Why?"

"I'm not invited." I stated.

"You don't need an invitation. You're coming with me." He held my hand, stopping me in my tracks.

"No, I'm not."

"Evelyn, can you for once listen to me?" He sighed. I shook my head.

"Nope." I tried to walk further but he pulled me by my hand in a jerk. "Let me go." I whined.

"Just listen to me. I'll get bored there, alone."

"Then take Luke with you." I said in a duh tone. He rolled his eyes.

"He has already planned a date with his girlfriend." I don't say anything. "Please, Evelyn. Just for an half hour. I'll bring you back in no time. Plus, even your uncle has his night shift, he won't even know."

"Yeah but- wait. How do you know about my uncle's night shift?" I narrowed my eyes on him. He stiffened.

"Oh....um...well...uh....um...." He just couldn't form words.

"Did you stalk me?" I glared at him. He quickly shook his head.

"No! Your uncle works for my dad, that's how I know it. Um..yeah. that's it." He cleared his throat. "So, you coming?" He asked with hope.

"No."

••••

"Yes." I grinned.

"Yes? Really?" He asked with a huge grin. I nodded.

Yes, I agreed. But, in my defense, he bribed me with butterscotch ice cream and even promised me to remove my name from the detention list.

Then again, it's just an half hour, right?

"Yeah. But, only for ice cream, okay? Not for you." I warned him.

"Okay then. Now, go home and get pretty. I want my date to look hot." He smirked. This time, I stiffened.

"D-date?"

"Yeah. Since you took ice cream and cutting your name off from the detention list, you'll come to the party and be my date. That's only fair." He announced proudly.

"What? No. I didn't agree to this." I argued.

"Now you're. Cope with it." He shut me up.

"Fine. But, I have my conditions." I narrowed my eyes at him. He smirked and draped his arm over my shoulder.

"Bring it on."

"No touching." I said and pointed to his arm on my shoulder. He sighed and removed his arm, muttering a small boring 'okay'. "Good. Second, you'll bring me back home, safe and sound."

"Done." He smiled.

"And last, you won't get drunk or force me to drink. If you do, I'll kick your ball right in front of everyone there." I warned.

"Woah woman! Calm your tits down. Anything else, my lady?" He said with a fake British accent. I held my smile and shook my head.

"I'll add more rules if I remember anything." I looked at him.

"Okay then, let's get you ice cream and finish half of the deal." He took my hand in his and pulled be towards the car.

"Wait, I said no touching." I said, taking my hand back. But I kinda miss his touch.

He raised his hands up in fake surrender and sighed a frustrated sigh.

"Okay."

••••

"What do you think I should wear? I mean I wanna look hot and good but not slutty type. But I also wanna feel comfortable but not the dork type. But-" before I could finish, Amy cut me off.

"You're acting as if you're going on a date with Blake. Not that I mind, I totally ship you both." She said with a girly-sh grin. I rolled my eyes.

"Me and Blake? Not happening. We just made a deal, that's all." I shrugged but the thought of Blake and me together made butterflies erupt in my stomach.

"Now, help me with my dress." I said. She search through the dresser and pulled out the dress that I wore on my.....um....Xavier's birthday was it?

Anyways, it was a black dress with full lacy sleeves and stopped right below my butt, hugging my curves, perfectly.

I changed and came out, doing a twirl for Amy.

"You look hot, girl. Blake would be all drooling over your sight." She said with a smirk.

"I don't care what Blake thinks, okay? I just wanted to look good and feel good." I said, dismissing the thought of her.

Liar.

That's the half truth.

Amy then curled my hair and did my make up. It wasn't too much and I was glad that I wasn't looking like a joker. I smiled and looked at her.

"Thank you, but I really wish you could be there with us. I mean this is my first party, I really wanted to go with you." I said.

"Aww!!" She cooed and hugged me. "Don't worry, Evel. We will surely go out some other time."

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Dear party, here I come.
