Chapter 5- Date

Paarth woke up. Crying and not even knowing the reason for it. All he knew that he has lost something precious. He touched his face and then got to realise that he was crying

"I'm crying but why?" He questioned to himself.

His attention was then caught by the notification om his phone. It was a text from.... Divya a.k.a. Ms. Rai.

I'm almost there! Looking forward to it.

"Ms. Rai? She is almost where?" He thought for a while thinking about all the possibilities and something struck his head.

"Uh-huh, Krishnaa. What did you do?" He read Krishnaa's report and yelled

"Date?!" He was already blushing a little on the thought of going on a Date with Divya. He frantically got ready at really fast speed in yellow and blue t-shirt with brown jeans and blue jacket. He ran out of his home to reach where he has to meet Divya. What Krishnaa actually wrote was

Tomorrow is your date with Ms. Rai. Meet up at station at 10:30.

And a far away Krishnaa who was now up and realised that they would soon be meeting each other said

"Well, that's what I have planned but-" she closed and sighed not knowing Paarth would react to being set up for a Date with Divya by her.

Here, Paarth was catching a breath as he ran to the Metro Station to make it on time for his very first date with Divya. Once he was done, he started to look around for Divya. Divya saw him and thought about scaring him a little. She went right behind him and whispered in his ear.

"Hi Paarth." He turned to face, blushing crazily. Divya giggled a little at his cute reaction and then asked

"Wait long?"

"Yes.. I mean... No" He scratched his head as he took in Divya's look. She was wearing a full sleeve turtle neck black top with white coloured skirt just above her knees and matching white heels. She was wearing a hat and a pair of tops.

"I just got here." Paarth said.

"Thank goodness. Let's go." The two of them headed to a nearby Restuarant while in Mridkhand, Krishnaa was getting ready and saying to herself

"Let's be nice. They probably met up about now." She didn't realise that subconciously tears started to spill down her cheeks. As she saw herself crying in the mirror she took a sharp breath in and asked to herself

"Why am I? Why?"

While in Ranchi, a blushing Paarth and Divya entered the Restuarant.

"Wow. It's beautiful inside here. Look we can get a really nice view from there." Divya said and Paarth just nodded not knowing what to say. There's more to the note:

It was something I wanted to go on so that I could explore Ranchi. It happens so that you end up going. So better be grateful and enjoy it😃👍

After ordering their food Divya asked Paarth

"This is nice. It's my first time here. So is this one of your usual?"

At any rate I bet you've never been on a single date.

"What?! No way, it's too expensive." Paarth replied. Divya didn't knew how to reply to it so she just smiled a little.

"Uh-um Excuse me." He said, embarassed about his answer and went to the restroom.

"I don't know what to say to her." He sighed. He checked Krishnaa's note.

"For real?" He questioned. Yeah she is genuinely being nice. He took a quick glance and said grumpily

"She's making fun of me."

He headed outside and joined Divya again this time being a little more cautious. After that they headed a Photo Exhibition which was in the same building. It was named Nostalgia.

There he saw a photo of a familiar landscape and he was immediately attracted towards it. He gazed it taking up single detail. Divya who actually moved forward noticed that Paarth was still there. She went over and said in a low and genuinely worried voice

"You know something, Paarth. Today, you're like a different person."And she then walked away. Paarth waited for a while analysing her words and followed her lead outside the exhibition.

It was dusk by the time they were out. As they were walking with a comfortable silence between them, Paarth broke it asking Divya

"Ms. Rai.. are you getting hungry? We could get dinner." Divya stopped and replied in her sweet voice

"Let's call it a day." She turned towards Paarth who was a few step behind her.

"Alright." He replied.

"I could be wrong and I am sorry if I am."

"About?"

"You used to have a little crush on me, am I right?" He did not reply but he tensed just a little bit as he was caught off guard.

"But right now there's someone else you like." Divya continued.

"No.. it's not like that." He said and brought his right hand to cover his blushing cheeks but it was too late, Divya already noticed it.

"Really?" She said walking towards him.

"There's no one. It's not like that. He siad while sractching behind his ear, still blushing.

"Are you sure about that?" He didn't reply as he did not know how to reply.

"Anyway, thanks for today. See you at work." Divya said and went towards her home.

While the life of Ranchi continued, Paarth stood still there for while reading Krishnaa's note

"By the time the date is over. You should be able to see the comet in the sky." He looked up at the night sky and said

"What does she mean? Weirdo." He scrolled a little but down in his notes and opened in which Krishnaa wrote her number. He thought for a while whether or not he should call her but after a while he dialled her number.

Krishnaa's phone rang, she was just returning after taking a quick shower, picked her buzzing phone and answered it

"Hello. Oh, it's you....."
