But he would have preferred she called him before visiting. The thought of restricting her visit crosses his mind but he decides not to act on it for the sake of the past.

"Mika, I wasn't expecting you." He said when she walked in and he tried not to let his annoyance be obvious.

"You promised to call me when you get back. I was even worried that you didn't call after a week which you said you will be spending in Tokyo." She said as she walked further into the office.

"I'm sorry. I had some emergency and I have to spend a few more days than planned."

"Oh! I didn't know. I saw it in the news yesterday that you were back." She said as she dropped her bag on the chair beside hers.

"Uhmm!" Was all he said and then his Ipad beeped taking his attention away. "Excuse me."

He picked up the Ipad and looked at the message on it. He doesn't know how long he was on the Ipad dealing with messages. He was sending and replying to messages when he was suddenly distracted by the sound of tapping feet. He looked up and Yimika was tapping her feet on the ground looking around the office. He knew she wasn't looking at anything, she was just trying to make her presence known - that she was still in the room. He had forgotten she was still in the office. He got carried away. That was why he hated having impromptu visitors.

He reluctantly dropped the Ipad and turned around toward her. "I'm sorry I had to answer those messages. I'm sorry." He apologized.

Yimika fought the urge not to roll her eyes. She hates the way he was treating her. She just needs to be patient to be able to get what she wants.

"I see you are busy." She said with a small smile.

"I'm mostly busy." He said feeling a little guilty.

"Okay." She reluctantly agreed. "Let me leave you then. But we should hang out sometime. We should... Catch up. I want us to be friends again."

"No problem." Demilade shrugged. "I will call you when I am free. I'm so sorry for not being able to entertain you."

"It's okay." She stood up from her seat and Demilade used the opportunity to quickly send a message to the lady filling in for Uche - since Uche was on a week's leave - to bring a file which he needs for him.

Yimika was already standing close to him and she embraced him. He was surprised but he didn't say anything.

"I'm glad you are back. I wish we could be friends again." She said in his arm before she pulled away. And she leaned toward him trying to kiss him on the lips but he was quick to move back.

Demilade moved back to stop her attempt to kiss him. The act made him angry. He could see the hurt and disappointment written all over her face but she quickly masked it with an apologetic expression.

But he doesn't care whatever it is. She was beginning to step beyond her boundaries. Nothing can ever happen between them again and no magic is going to make him go back to her. And he made it known to her.

"Sorry... Sorry. My bad. I was..."

He said cutting her off. "Look Mika, we are just friends. Nothing more than that. There is no us going back together. You should understand that. I love someone else." He told her and she took a step back a little taken aback.
