I awakened to the conclusion that I was shackled, my weapons were taken and my suit had somehow been locked into my bracelet.
There was a blonde female elf shackled next to me. She met my stormy gaze and I noticed that she was around my age and quite pretty, except for her scarlet eyes, which showed her arrogance, defiance and anger.
She spoke. "Name's Scarlet. I'm the assassin you were supposed to free. My creed managed to send me a message. Wow, if the 2nd best assassin from the Elemental Assassins can't free me I wonder who can. I'm sorry, by the way, for getting you in this place."
I felt bitter. I was trapped here because of her. I let some of that anger show in my grey eyes. She flinched. I turned my head away. "Assassins don't apologize," I snapped. She stayed silent after that. I would never see my pack again. After all this, never meet Chris' noble, amber gaze, see Alec's warm smile, hear Opal's defiant voice against the world.
I would die here. I would be buried here. My body would decay here. I would die here.
