Amber Danan

-In terms of which lights Amber can manipulate, she is able to manipulate sunlight, moonlight, starlight and artificial lights or light created with magic. 

-In short Amber can do a lot when it comes to her magic. She is well known on what she can and can not do and knows what limits she has to stop at or what she can push. In no way is she overpowered though, being weaker in darkness or spots were light is scarce and needing a lot of concentration and power to use her magic in certain ways.

Ice manipulated/Magic

- Amber's ice magic spans the same areas as her light magic. Being able to manipulate and use basic ice magic as some of the other fae from the winter court. As for more complex things Amber is not as well versed on that as she is with light magic and were some people might think she is training her light powers Amber is putting more focus into her ice magic, not wanting her two powers to be out of balance.

-Due to having lived in the dawn court for her whole life it was difficult to train her ice magic, not always having someone to teach Amber caused that she was not as good with it as with her light magic, and the absence of her father, of who she inherited the powers, did not help either.

-As with her light powers Amber is limited at some point and not overpowered. While she may become stronger and better at her magic if she gets the chance to learn more, there is still a big difference in her two kinds of magic.

Distinguished features:

-Two different eye colors (known as heterochromia), a warm golden amber in her right eye and a deep blue color in her left eye.

- A small scar on her lower lip, in the right corner of her mouth from when Amber, in her childhood, was dared by some boys to lick a very sharp knife after she laughed at them, finding it stupid that they were doing it but not being able to say no to the dare.

Personality:

Amber is both full of light and cold as ice. While she is not unkind Amber has a more cold demeanor that she may put up in more important situations as to not show any weaknesses or give anything important about herself away. Completely opposite of that is her warm and light demeanor that has given her the nickname the lady of light, often being referred to as a fae who can light up a room, bring joy to it by simply entering.

Amber is kind, loyal and smart. She knows what happens around her, knows not everyone is being fair or speaking the truth. She learned it from watching her mother around the dawn court. Her mother thaught Amber what she needed to know, not painting her home to be a place of bad intentions and scheming but more to watch people closely, know when things are not what they seem and years after her mothers passing Amber still holds on to those lessons.

Amber is adventurous and curious, hungering for travel to the other courts, see the world outside of prythian and learning about anything that might interest her. This is not so much to gain more for herself, although Amber knows that knowledge and travel can become an advantage in terms of knowing more then someone else.

Skills:

Healing

-As a fae of the dawn court Amber knows the basics of healing, she can help healers with the basics and will do more if needed, even if she still needs to learn about it. Amber has even figured out simple ways to use her magic for healing. Though healing is not her best skill, having chosen to focus more on her own magic.

Light magic

-Out of her two magics Amber is the most skilled with her light magic. More about this can be read above.

People smart

-Because of the lessons her mother thaught her and her own curiosity Amber has become good at reading people, figuring out what they really want, what their intentions are or when they are lying. While Amber is not hungry for power she does use this to her advantage as to not get used by somebody for their gain.

Life:

Born to a high fae of the dawn court, her mother, and a high fae of the winter court, her father, Amber's life has not been without obstacles. While her parents did their best, living between two courts was not good for Amber. Even after falling in love with her mother, finding her as his mate, Amber's father did not wish to move to the dawn court, and her mother never felt any interest in moving to the winter court, not loving the cold season. Amber stayed with her mother and was lucky when her father would visit. 

Amber's life at the dawn court was good to her. She made friends, played around, learned as much as she wanted and practiced her magic from a young age. Her mother always made sure everything went well, taking care of and protecting her daughter as much as she could. When Amber was old enough her mother started to learn her about the ways of the dawn court and the winter court as well, knowing her daughter still had family there and that her magic was connected to the land.

When she was older Amber lost her parents in a close time. First her father, who after centuries of being a respected warrior died on a battlefield protecting a family of fae. Months later it had become to much for her mother, and after she fell ill it would not be long before Amber said good bye to her to. Amber made sure to hold on to the good memories she had of her parents and tried her best to do them proud. She healed from her grief, went on with her life after a couple of years, though her visits to the winter court became less and less, until she did not go anymore at all.
