The Julia method is one of the best awake methods(you don't have to fall asleep)!

-meditate for 5-10 mins (recommended)
-listen to theta waves (recommended 6hz)
-repeat the words "I am" until you start to feel shifting symptoms or are ready
-count to 100
-say "I am" affirmations (below)
-visualize your DR
(you should feel detached from your body)
-when you feel your surroundings change open your eyes (you can also script that your eyes automatically open when your get to your dr)

affirmation examples:
-I am (y/n)
-I have a (pet/pets name)
-I am going to (dr location)
-My parents are...
-I have romantic interest in...
-My friends are...
