I tried to follow exactly what he told me. I got lost once along the way, but he eased me through it. "I'll be out in a moment" he said, and I assumed I must be where he was hiding. It was an apartment about a mile as the crow flies from where I was. But the walk was long. I should feel tired, but I didn't. I felt... thirsty. Then he appeared out of the shadows. He looked up and smiled at me. "good job love" he said. He was so beautiful, I tried to memorize every part of his face. "no need" he said "you'll be seeing a lot of me" he stepped and was an inch away from me in less than a second. I stepped back. "don't worry" he said without moving his lips. "who are you?" I asked. "well love, my name is Zayn. But who I am will take a lot of explaining. More than we have time for now. We need to get you fed" he said. I was confused. He grabbed my hand. "run" he said and we took off in a flash. Moments later we were in the woods. Usually at this point I would be exhausted. We had run almost 20 miles in a matter of seconds. "what's going on?" I asked. "I will explain later. It's just- you'll understand soon enough" he said. He stroked the side of my face, then kissed my cheek. "trust me" he stared into my eyes, and I did, I trusted him, a total stranger, with my life.
