STEVE watched as two Russian men left the elevator they were in from the roof. "Hand me the vile." He whispered to the ten year old who passed it to him. "When I say go we go." He whispered before hopping down from the roof. The elevator door began to whir meaning that it was slowly closing, Steve ran ahead and slipped the vile in between the door and the floor. "Let's go." He whispered before sliding everyone and their belongings under the door. The vile was slowly beginning to crack when Mabel slid under the door.

Once everyone was out, the vile broke. Smoke began to simmer from the liquid and the kids looked at it in disbelief. "Jesus christ." Steve whispered.

"You still wanna drink that?" Robin snickered towards Erica making the young girl give her a snarl.

"Holy mother of god." Dustin said aloud causing Mabel to turn her head. "Holy shit." She whispered. Ahead of them was miles of hallway and if they wanted to get out of there they had to walk it. "Well I hope you guys are in good shape." Said Steve. "Looking at you roast beef." He said before patting dustins chest. "I haven't walked that much since freshman year." Mabel said in defeat, staring at the long hallway.

"Let's go, come on." Steve said. Robin pushed the children ahead before walking slowly with Mabel. "Why me?" Dustin sighed.

"I mean you have to admit, as a feat of engineering alone, this is impressive." Said Dustin. The kids had been walking for an hour now throughout the basement of star court mall. The hallways only getting longer and more trickier.

"What're you talking about? It's a total fire hazard, there's no stairs, there's no exit, there's just an elevator that drops you halfway to hell." Steve grumbled. He definitely wasn't happy. Mabel groaned, slowly falling behind the group, her failing grade in gym was standing out more than ever now.

"They're commies." Erica spoke up. "You don't pay people, they cut corners." She explained.

"To be fair to our Russian comrades, I don't think this tunnel was designed for walking." Said Robin, Mabel nodded in agreement. "What do you think that whirring was when we were inside the elevator!"

Robin nodded. "Think about it, they developed the perfect system for transporting that cargo."

"It all comes into the mall like any old delivery."

"And then they load it up onto those trucks and nobody's the wiser."

Mabel sighed, looking at the hallway, taking in every part of it. Although it looked the same at every angle and every step, it was still incredibly built. "You think they built this whole mall so they could transport that green poison?"

"If you think about it, mafia families will use olive oil factories to get the goods in. Same difference." Said Mabel.

"Besides, I very seriously doubt that it's something as boring as poison." Dustin snickered. "It's gotta be much more valuable, like promethium or something."

"What the hell is promethium?"

"It's what Victor Stones dad used to make Cyborgs bionic and cybernetic components." Robin explained.

"You're all so nerdy it's making me physically ill!" Erica fake barfed.

"It's good to know stuff Erica, especially in situations like this." Mabel said softly.

"No, no, no. Don't lump me in with them. I'm not a nerd alright?" Steve protested. Making Mabel roll her eyes. "That's why there's nothing up there." Mabel smiled, lightly tapping his head in which he swatted her hand away. "Why so sensitive Harrington?" Robin chuckled. "Afraid of losing cool points to a ten year old?"

"No, I'm just saying I don't know jack shit about Prometheus."

"Promethium." Dustin corrected. "Prometheus is a greek mythological figure, but whatever. All I'm saying is, it's probably being used to make something."

"Or power something." Robin spoke up once again.

"Like a nuclear weapon?"

"Totally."

"Walking towards a nuclear weapon, that's great." Steve said sarcastically.

"Shut it Harrington."

"But if they're building something, why here?" Robin questioned. "I mean, Hawkins. Of all places. At very best we're a toilet stop on your way to Disneyland."

"If you think about it, birdy, Hawkins is in the middle of no where. It's a discreet area that genuinely no where cares to look." Mabel debated.

"Or they just chose a random place.." Erica muttered.

"You're no fun, you know that, sinclair?" Mabel grumbled.
