We were walking around the store picking up everything we needed. Well, at least for today. Malina walks up behind me as I pick up a box of condoms.

"Roddy we need to start shopping for the house-" She looks down at the box and shakes her head. "Um I-" she continues to stutter. She stops attempting to talk and walks back over to her mom.

I laugh lowly and drop the condoms in the cart. Nicole shoots me a look with raised eyebrows. "Hmm, ten cuidado chico." I look over to Malina, expecting her to translate.

"Oh, she basically said you're ugly and your music is trash. Alladat." Her mom smacks her arm lightly.

"Roddy I did not say that, I told you to be careful. Translate it on your phone. Also I do like your music. It's just hard to remember names. And you are very handsome, don't listen to her." Nicole says.

I smile. "So you think my music is trash?" I ask Malina. She sticks her tongue out at me and crosses her arms. We shopped for a little while longer, picking up snacks and ingredients for meals.

We get to the checkout and Malina pulls out her card. I pull out mine and make the cashier take my card. I push Malina's hand back, making her sigh.

"I can pay for my own things Roddy." I shrug. "My stuff in there too." I say pointing to the almost over filled cart.

"Aw so sweet." Nicole says patting my shoulder. I laugh, relieved that she didn't say it in Spanish. We walk back to the car and I load the shopping into the trunk then get into the back seat.

My phone rings in my pocket and I take it out.

Bree🌀 is calling...

I answer it and put it to my ear.

"Yo. What's good?"

"Yooooo. When you having a house party nigga? Better yet I'm tryna see my new girl."

I cover my mouth and whisper so Malina and Nicole couldn't hear me.

"Cuh chill out. She probably don't even like girls."

"Nigga it's like you tryna be protective over her. You said you were doing this to stay back from the media and for the extra income. Wait, hold on bruh."

She says laughing.

"Has the little green eyed leprechaun caught feelings already? Aww how cute. Wait until I tell everyone. They gone think you stupid."

I roll my eyes and suck my teeth.

"Man suck my dick!"

I noticed I was shouting when Malina turned her head around looking at me with wide eyes. "My bad." I turn my attention back to my phone call.

"Aye, Imma hit you up later."

I hang up before Bree says anything else and shove my phone back into my back pocket.

After we got home Nicole stayed at the house for a while and we had ordered pizza. "Alright guys. I'm gonna head out it's getting late." Nicole says standing up from the couch.
