Descartes proved his existence by "I think therefore I am" but he couldn't prove that others exist, what if it's all in my head? What if no one exists except me? What if it's all a hallucination ?
The existence of others is something we can't understand, since we can't prove it, but you do not believe in everything you understand and you do not understand everything you believe in.
