They were too many so you chose to believe (1), and because they were too little you just ignored them(2). You forgot that you were the too little while making fun of yourself and becoming so little(3), and you chased after the too many people who surrounded you(4). You never chose to believe in yourself.

I felt the need to explain what I mean by this.
(1) You believe and follow the majority without questioning.
(2) And you ignored the ones you thought of as unimportant.
(3) What you failed to realize is that you were part of the minority you ignored and made fun, and the more you did it, the more you thought lowly of yourself.
(4) Even though, you still kept on doing the same things that hurt you.
