Walking With Bed in Hand

When is it time to start over?
When his luck has ran out and there's no more four leaf clovers?
A tall leprechaun showed him there's gold at the end of his rain though
The world continues to stare at him with disdainful gazes
His life is that of a maze similar to army trenches
He's lost and his memory offers no retention
The smell of death brings about horrible stenches
He close his eyes shut and his teeth he clenches
He has his mattress but the Lord did mention
His bedding as he prepares for his wedding
And to that which he is to marry to his soul is she scary
And that what he is was told will not vary
It was God who warned him to be wary
