It was 3 am in the morning and everyone at the dorm was sleeping soundly except Eric.

The youngest was trembling in his bed tossing and turning trying to find sleep, but he couldn't. Why? Well there was a huge storm outside that didn't let him sleep.

A loud thud from outside made him jump and let out a small scream that was barely audible.

Why did it have to be a storm tonight? Hee needed sleep for tomorrow's schedule.

He curled himself more under his bed covers trying to block all sound.

It has been raining all day and the youngest didn't exactly find enjoyment in that.

It was all fun and everything before they got out of their company's building, seeing the dark clouds and rain pouring down on Seoul's streets.

And since then Erix knew that he wouldn't be getting any sleep.

Another loud noise echoed from outside, lighting coming from the clouds in bright white and yellow colors. He let out another small yelp, covering his ears.

At this point not even music could help him. He tried everything to forget about the storm but he just couldn't.

Sangyeon couldn't sleep.

He has been trying to sleep for the past hours but nothing helped, not even listening to music.

trying to shift around in bed to find a comfortable position.

The thunder didn't help at all, loud noise echoing through the dorm and he wondered how his members could sleep so well.

Just when he was about to change songs again, he heard noise outside the bedroom.

He sat up suddenly alarmed.

"Hey, who's there." quickly taking off his earphones, he waited for whoever was awake at this hour to answer.

He almost fell off his bed when Eric's head peeked into the room eyes round.

He sighed in relief and approached the youngest "can't sleep?" "yeah"

Even if it was dark, Sangyeon didn't fail in noticing the red puffy eyes of Eric
"were you crying?" asked sangyeon in a worried tone
"...no.."
sangyeon looked at the maknae at the team with a deadpan look
"..yeah...."

Sangyeon pulled the maknae to his bed and sat down pulling eric on his lap and hugging him
"what's wrong baby?" said the leader in a soft tone while rubbing small circles on the younger's back
". I-it's nothing..."

Suddenly a thunder roar echoed through the room and eric flinched letting out a small shriek

Sangyeon could onlt guess why the maknae was crying

" are you scared of the thunder baby?"

Eric didn't answer

"baby? Answer me..."

"*sniff*... Y-yeah... "

Sangyeon's eyes softened at the sight of the sniffling maknae pulling him with him under the covers of his soft bed

He brought eric closer putting the youngest's head on top of his torso exactly where his heart is

" focus on my heartbeats, baby... Hopefully it'll make you forget the thunder"

Eric wraps his arms around sangyeon's waist, pulling himself closer and closed his eyes while focusing on his hyung's heartbeats

It was a steady, calm soft heartbeat that had eric lulled(?) immediately

he drifted off to sleep thanks to sangyeon's presence and him rubbing small circles on Eric's side while whispering small comforting words

When Sangyeon noticed that his baby had fallen asleep, he smiled softly then gave him a small kiss on the forehead

"goodnight..."

Then the leader followed suit and drifted off to dreamland while Eric was vert comfortably sleeping
