After a few short days in our other home, we were brought back to reality of work and exploration.
I have been assigned to a group of scientists, flying them to a location and escorting them back. I am assigned to them before back in training, Oryn thought it would be a great idea for me to explore parts of the planet whilst learning at the same time how things are here
Our little group has been here for nearly 4 months and in 2 months estimated time the remaining survivors of my planet will be here.
"Emi are you still babysitting the scientists?" My brother says. I'm currently on a call with him which Oryn connected me to considering he called the base first "I mean I shouldn't call it babysitting considering you get to explore"
"You're not idiot" I laugh "Yes I am technically babysitting but I get to see some of this beautiful planet I haven't seen with Oryn"
Just the mere mention of my soul makes me yearn for him. Makes me want him so bad, I can't wait to get home from this shift and week long exploration. I've been away from him for far too long in my eyes and I need him
"Oryn did say you've been away for a week" I nod my head as he smiles back at me "You miss him?"
"Of course I do"
"He sounds so much like Blake its crazy" I chuckle
"Its beautiful at the same time" I tell him which makes him smile "There's someone here who may be of some similarity to you but I need you to meet them first before you react"
"You intrigue me dear sister but I will wait, only 2 short months and we will be together again" he always knows how to make me laugh "Afterall it's just the two of us, well Oryn makes us 3"
"Yes yes, go back to work and put your engineering skills to use so you can get here quicker punkass" He laughs, blows me a kiss and signs off. His face is instantly replaced with my loves
"Hey beautiful" I smile touching the screen gently "Are you ok?"
"Hello my love, I'm ok just missing you" He smiles softly and looks around
"I miss you too" I chuckle knowing he has to be a certain way on the job "I miss you at home, its lonely"
"I know, I'll be home in a matter of hours" I hear gunfire and shoot up from my seat at the back of the ship "I have to go babe, something is happening"
"Be careful love, if anything happens to you I will kill everyone"
"I know!" I shout back as I hustle on the remaining tactical gear and a weapon
"Need any assistance" I voice through the comms as I move back into the pilot seat and take off to the position I know the scientist and army personnel are
"Emila we need cover fire and pick up"
"I'm on my way"
I can see laser light shots being directed at the group of scientists
"We're definitely leaving after this" I say as I manuveur the transport out of direct line of fire
"A group of rebellion troops attacking us Emila, we need to get the scientists back home" The head of security voices through our communications
"Sure thing, opening hatch now" I get up and grab a gun on my way to the hatch to offer cover fire. Just as the last person is loaded on, the hatch closes I stop suddenly and look down to my stomach.
A scientist screams out whilst the security team move me away from the entryway and my co pilot leads us out
"Home now Ty"
