"Rae?" Cal said with his mouth wide open
She flipped a piece of her hair behind her shoulder "surprised to see me"
Me and cal did a double look and each other and with confused faces we nodded
"Duh last time we saw you, you stormed out of the apartment" Zoe said slurring his words
Their was visible look of annoyance on her face "well it worked out great cause I now live with my wonderful boyfriend"
Smacking her lips she called him over "Nikki baby can you come here for a sec?"
Her obnoxiously green nails gripped his arm as she pulled him infront of us
My hand found it's way to my mouth to hide my audible gasp
Zoe was fighting his laughter while he stumbled in his little space
Cal broke the awkward silence "you and you are dating" he said pointing back and forth between the two
Nikki put his arm around Rae "yeah it happened fast but I love her" he leaned down to kiss her lips
I was vastly confused "you've known each other for what like a month and y'all already love each other" I paused to reflect "there's no fucking way"
Rae looked me in the eyes with disgust "there is a fucking way" she put her hand on Nikki's chest "after you kicked me out for your delinquent of a brother I was homeless and had no where to go but Nikki being the sweet hunk he is gave me a place to stay, and I realized you were never a good friend and you and your brother are always gonna be long beach trash"
The sober side of me said leave it alone but the slightly tipsy side of me said kick this bitches ass
You see I didn't remember which side won until I woke with my fists bloody and a bite mark on my upper arm
"What the hell happened, I feel like I got hit by a train" I asked as I slowly sat up
Brad and Cal were playing some type of card game "more like you did the hitting" cal laughed as he placed down a card "you beat that bitch to a pulp"
He reached for something in his pocket "look Tommy took a picture of her"
There in his hand was a blurry polaroid of a bloody Rae with bruises and a tooth missing
"Holy hell I did that" I asked scratching my head trying to remember the night before
As cal was telling me the gruesome story of how I kept hitting Rae in head again and again and again a big tall man burst threw my door
"Why the hell did you beat my girl up" Nikki screeched shaking his fists at me
I furrowed my eyebrows "did you ever think your girl got what she deserved and maybe a good ass whopping will do her good"
Nikki looked at me with fiery eyes "you little slut" he started to come closer to me "I should throw you off the balcony and..."
He was cut off by brad putting his hand of his chest "you take one more step closer to my sister and my foot is gonna go so far up your ass your nose will bleed"
Nikki huffed and pushed brad aside "stupid kid"
Before Nikki knew it a foot really was going for his ass and he flew to the ground in pain "Dude I told you what would happen"
Cal stood beside brad and looked down at Nikki on the floor "damn your guys family sure knows how to kick some ass" he chuckled "literally"
Nikki regained his composure and gave me a this is not over look before slamming the door behind him
I brushed the non exist dirt off my pants "anyone want waffles?"
