It's a cloudy Friday morning, everything is closed, quiet and there aren't much cars running across the city. No pollution, no noises, just a quiet and spacious Friday morning, with some clouds hiding the sadness slightly drawn into the sun's bright and unknown face.
I guess cloudy days were pretty much appropriated for Harry to start off a good day of work, cloudy days hide things you'll never know the existence of and so does every living being in this planet, that is his own unique perception of cloudy days and throughout his entire life he's been digging deep inside the common things, to turn them into uncommon definitions and more interesting views. People always say that his thought process is undeniably gullible whenever he presents a point of view, some people even said that he smartened everything around them, they started thinking differently and even acting differently, but this is not what I want to talk about now.
The emphasis right now is pretty much around cloudy days, but not all days were cloudy in the appealing city of Boston, in fact, most days were actually pretty sunny around Summer and Spring seasons, which was strongly unappreciated by Harry whenever a ray of light hit his face. Most of the days he would just have to get out of his rented apartment, walk towards the bus stop under sunny and fake days, while blasting music in his headphones to avoid any kind of human interaction or unwelcomed noises.
But you know, things are different, after he turned 23. Things have been different and this Friday is no exception. It's a common Friday, everything's good, weekend's passing by, peace, appreciation and space coming along for two days, it was just another day to bear over his back, nearly breaking his spine, since for years he's been working at the same place and feeling the same way every day.
Under the cloudy day that was this calm Friday morning, Harry walked to the bus stop and then waited for the bus to come, payed his pass and picked a seat. The stares Harry was receiving that day were almost palpable and the disgust coming from all these people's eyes was even more out there. Harry was uncomfortable, but nothing he hadn't gone through already. His daily life had been this exact same way for years... But he just did what he always does whenever this happens, he picked a seat, turned the volume on and tried to ignore everything surrounding him. It's quite challenging, but it was what he had to do every day to avoid breakdowns.
The bus finally arrived at Harry's departure, it was pretty hard to carry all this negative energy throughout a 20 minutes ride, but luckily Harry didn't throw any tantrums before heading his workplace.
Speaking of tantrums, here comes Sabrina, the annoying manager's pet, she is always stirring the pot and trying to create conflict around the store and she always waits for everyone to come, so she enters last and can make her big entrance.
- " Hey Jul- I mean, Harry, how are you? " - Asked Sabrina
- " I'm fine I guess, thanks for asking " - Answered Harry pretty coldly.
Harry and Sabrina didn't really go along that well, but yet again, so did everyone else. Sabrina was literally the most annoying person at the shop and it's been this way for years and she still gets the spot of " employee of the month " every time, just because she has some kind of deal that she maintains with the manager.
- " Hey Harry, you are finally here! " - Exclaimed a friend of Harry that works there too
- " Hey Sean, my bus got kinda late haha, but I'm here " - Responded Harry
Sean and Harry know each other since high school and they go along really well, alongside their mutual best friend Rose, who moved out a couple years ago.
- " Hey, did you hear that Sabrina might be getting the employee of the month again? " - Gossiped Sean
- " Seriously? Again? She literally doesn't do shit. " - Said Harry
- " I know right?? It's just so annoying. We do our bests to be the perfect role models to the newbies and she literally keeps causing drama and gets the charge. "
- " Honestly our manager is too easy of a guy. Just because she sucks his- " - Said Harry, but was soon interrupted by Sean
- " Hm, I don't think we should be talking about this here, maybe at your place after work. She might hear us and I don't wanna get fired. " - Said Sean
- " Yeah, okay, I agree though, let's just hang out at my place and talk shit about her later I guess, whether we like it or not, she holds a lot of power, so whatever. "
- " Well, anyways, we have some work to do now so let's do this! " - Encouraged Sean
Harry worked at a vinyl thrift store, but there was way more than just vinyls and CD's, musical instruments were also sold there, but that was Sean's job. Harry's job was to make sure that the customers find where are stored every type of vinyl, from country, to reggae, to pop and to metal, Harry had to know where all the different styles were stored and had to memorize most of the vinyls the store owned, just to make sure he could give good feedbacks about the discs and would sell more.
Most of the vinyls that were at the store for selling were from small artists, the store loves to support small and independent artists to get more people to hear them and share their art, which is pretty considerate from the staff.
Everyone who works there is really passionate with music, Sean for example is a singer, songwriter and he plays guitar, while Sabrina likes more bubbly and pop songs and she sings as well, Harry is a music producer and sings as well, while also playing plenty of instruments, they have all at least one thing in common and I guess that's what makes this place such an enjoyable place to be working at.
Harry's days were really long, he had to work for 8 consecutive hours, no pause and having to tolerate rude and unnecessary customers, but these were pretty rare, most costumers there were either musicians or hippies, so we know the vibes are good.

After a long day of work, Sean and Harry are finally leaving and heading to Harry's house. Sean lived two blocks after the store, but loved to go to Harry's house, according to him, it was always so messy and there was always something new to be shown.
Both of the boys waited for the bus to come, while they were holding hands. For them, holding hands didn't have nothing romantic, it was just a thing that they have always done as friends, from which they started doing because there was rumors at high school that they were dating, when they were not and actually never did.
The bus finally arrived, they both payed their passes and chose a seat where they could sit right beside one another. They chatted the whole way home and it was a nice chat.
Harry lived pretty afar from the place he works. His house, which is actually an apartment, is pretty modern and the rent is pretty expensive, but Harry manages his money really well, while spending it a lot too.
Sean called the elevator, they waited, it came, they entered and waited again. Harry lived on the seventh floor and it is probably the best height of the whole building. There are no mosquitos, the breeze is really soft and appreciable and there was no noises from the neighbors upstairs.
" Wow! Harry... This time, you surpassed your abilities " - Said Sean
" What? What did I do? "
" I thought this couldn't get messier, but it somehow did "
" Well, you already know the answer for that, don't you? "
" Yes... It's depression honey " - Said Sean, laughing.
Indeed, Harry's house was really messy that day, he cleans his house at least once a week, he likes it messy and so does Layla, his pet mouse, while Stevie, the cockatoo didn't really care about the mess at all[...]
