"Nangaasar ka ba?" Tanong ko kay Luke - kaibigan ni Kuya Caleb ko na naging kaibigan ko na rin through out the time, nang makita ko itong papasok sa bahay na may dalang sweet delicacies mula Davao.

Tumawa ito nang marahan.

"Well, can you think of better pasalubongs than sweet delicacies?" Nangaasar nitong tanong, "You're lucky I didn't bought you a shirt."

"A shirt would've been better!" I hissed, "I have diabetes for Pete's sake!"

"I know Ami," Sagot nito saka nagtungo sa kitchen counter kung saan ako naroroon then started unpacking the bag full of stuffs he bought from his vacation in Davao. "Ikaw na nga lang binili, nagrereklamo ka pa."

"E parang inaasar mo ako niyan, eh!" I complained. "When you asked me kung anong gusto kong pasalubong, I made it clear to you na kahit ano basta hindi sweet foods dahil hindi ko makakain kase tataas ang blood sugar ko. You even agreed, tapos ayan ka, ganyan dala mo."

I pouted in a bit of sadness and annoyance. For a nineteen-year-old girl, I'm still very immature and childish at some points and things. I wonder if it's because of me being diabetic, though. I mean . . . having unstable moods can be mistaken by being that type of person. I mentally laughed. Funny how I still don't know the difference even thoughg I'm suffering from it for almost ten years now.

"Ano ba 'yan Ami?

He constantly reminds me to keep my calm if I dont want to end up being in my bed or the hospital for days because I need to heal myself from exhaustion, wearying, downbeat and so on, because I am stressed. And by just thinking of it now, parang magkakatotoo pa yata ang sinasabi nito.

"Hey, Ami," Bati ni Sedrik.

"Hey," I greeted back with a hint of tired yet sad tone.

Lee, Javi, and Noah greeted me too, except for Yohan, the ignorant, as usual.

"Ami," Pagtawag ni Kuya Caleb, "Mag-test ka nga."

My mood suddenly shot up, "Hindi na kuya, baka napagod lang ako kakalibot sa kusina kanina."

I heard Noah snort a laugh, "The kitchen, really?"

The four preceded to the kitchen and stood beaide us then tried to get their hands on the stuffs Luke brought.

"None of your business, you hobby shamer." I stuck my tongue out at him.

"I agree with Caleb though," Luke said, "Saka para matikman mo na rin yung mga durian candies na binili ko."

He rose his eyebrows up and down while he posed a teasing smile.

I repulsed, "Eww, durian."

Who wouldn't be disgusted with the fruit? Number of people rejects it cause of its foul smell even if it tastes good. But still, no thanks.

"Don't exaggerate, Ami, it's already processed." Luke chuckled.

"Fine, but..." I trailed, "Wala ka na ba talagang dinalang iba?"
