"Well then I guess it's time to go " I said lifting my investigation kit "no use waiting around "
"But before you go you might wanna be briefed on that warehouse …"sergeant said "ha-ha real funny sergeant " I said
he was always such a joker even when we just met

I was finally here at nineteen I'm finally a detective I'm so much smarter the other detectives "hello there son you the new meat? " a large man asked "yeah " I answered "well we aren't at a need for staff leave the premisis "  my eyes widened "but- " "just kidding come on in " his smile covered his face "okay captain " I said "you know what just call me sergeant …"

Me and lillian were inside the abandoned warehouse, but I couldn't help but wonder what this warehouse had to do with all of this "so this warehouse is believed to be the place where the bodies have been taken " lillian said  but I don't see any dead -"clank  she was cut off by a clanking sound in the distance lillian  pulled out her gun I would've pulled out mine but I didn't have a gun on me this was supposed to be a investigation not a shootout "hello " I heard a raspy and creepy voice say ,I was spinning my head in every direction looking for a person or any sign of someone while lillian  was staring dead ahead pale as a whiteboard so I decided to follow her gaze.....

right there standing in front of me was a smiling man whom I swear wasn't there before, even paler than joan if that was possible I was at a lost for word's for a second until the courage I had cooped up inside me burst out "you are on a crime scene " i said becomimg just as pale as everyone else  "so "he  said  "well.... um leave " "how is this a crime scene like what happened " "it's in accordance with the..... " I actually didn't know what to say  something to do with missing people but what does a guy like me have to say I'm not exactly a smooth talker  I opened my mouth to say something but  at instance realized that he was holding something behind his back "what's that " I said pointing "your about to find out" he replied darting after me with a... wait is that a knife, at that moment lillian  who had been like a statute the whole time opened fire the dude took a few shots but didn't slow down I was staring in shock  just as it was about to be all over  I gained back my senses and knocked the knife out of his hand  without falling off his train of momentum  his other hand he hit me in the head and the room started spinning instantly lillian  made a run for the door and I followed dashing glances behind me I expected a chase but he just stood there smiling and waved

"we have to tell someone about this" said lillian  "tomorrow "I said "it's just about midnight and we'll need energy to report so sleep is vital " "okay " she replied "bye" "yeah " I said and turned around and walked towards home hand's in my pocket

"So you wanna be a detective this young " she asked "sure mom why not " she bit down on her finger nails "don't end up like your father " she said I looked at her and got up "bye see you later " I slammed the door behind me tears stinging my eyes
