The earth's terrain never felt more foreign to Elli than at this despairing moment. The need to save him clouded her head and consistently fought against the usual calling of the ocean. Saving him was the least she could do for him; he was the reason she pertained in ever stepping foot on the earth's land. Twenty-one years away from his calling would, either way, cause him eventual doom, but she just needed to get to him before that could happen. She had to find him and save him before it was too late.

Her quick, ragged breaths soon morphed into sharp inhales of the whisk air and burned chills into her nostrils as she increased her pace. She could no longer hear nor locate the guards chasing her; it was only the paced thumping of Elli's rushed footsteps that filled the silence of the peaceful setting of the sun. The mahogany scheme of the beach house came into view. A breath of relief escaped her quivering lips, and her hands naturally pounded on the wooden surface of the door in desperation.

"Cassian! Cassian can you hear me?" Elli's protruding voice pierced throughout the island, never finding its way to the response she wanted to hear.

"Cassian please tell me you're okay," she whispered under her breath.

Amidst her constant banging on the door, the voices of the persistent guards swarmed Elli's situation. She felt her feet desperately moving her away from the beach house and closer towards the ocean. The ocean's calling never felt most irresistible than at this moment of life or death, right when her tracks came to an end. She was cornered into an inescapable fate as the guards' triumphant visages pervade Elli's hopeless situation.
