(Chapter is in Abhinav's POV)

I woke up as the bus jerked due to the speed breaker. I was back into the well of overthinking. Not that I doubt my actions, neither do I regret it. But the morning incident kept flashing in front of my eye.
I looked around in the bus to find some people dozing off while some still busy chitchatting upon the murder of Rajesh Pratap Singh. My co-passenger still busy watching the news, but this time with earphones plugged.
I was unable to hear. I stared at his screen for a while only to see some bossy pictures of the great politicians with big headlines "The Great Politician Murdered. Why?"
I looked outside the window to get some better views. The lush, green grass was much better than those whys and hows on the mobile screen. I kept watching it wondering what life holds for me.
The calm winds kept blowing. How I wish they could calm my mind. I was aimlessly looking outside. It was after some 2 hours that the bus stopped and the conductor announced that the bus has reached Mumbai.
I heaved a sigh of relief. Relief only because I had left Vadodara, my mind still not calm. I was the last one to leave the bus. I got down and looked around in all directions.
There was complete darkness on the other side of the road and I started walking there aimlessly. It was after a walk of two kilometers or a little more than I bumped into the girl. She was running towards me.
I was in no mood to argue. But the girl shouted at me, "Can't you just see and walk? Or wait, are you blind? Am already running out of time and you!"
Still not losing my patience, I asked her, "Excuse me, Miss!?"
"Aisha!", she said with so much confidence. It was too easy to make out that she loved her name.
"So miss Aisha! It was you who bumped into me and screaming at me for absolutely no reason! You know what, I am in hell no mood to argue so just leave!", I spoke back patiently, trying my best not to lose my cool.
Her dark brown orbs kept staring at me as if I was some murderer. "Phew! I am a murderer", I told my mind. Although I was not regretting my actions, the fact remains still that I had murdered the politician.
"Huh! If I see you again, I will not leave you I promise. Thank God for you are saved right now. I can't afford to reach late right now.", She said almost rushing away from me.  "Whatever!", I exclaimed looking at her retreating figure.
I started walking blankly back again. Kicking the stones that came my way, walking clumsily and lazily, I reached a place.
"Arre unke wahaa toh naya PG aaya hai", I heard the group of people talking.
I decided to stay as a PG for some time, till I can find a better place. I made my way to that group of people to get some details about the whole PG idea.
They showed me a big house. It was like those old big houses, a two-storeyed house,  a courtyard in the center and so many rooms. I went inside and knocked on the door.
"Come in", the girl said. I went inside only to find the Ms.Argument there. I honestly had forgotten her name. The girl also got up as she saw me.
It was clear to me that she won't give me a room. "So you are here?", The girl said as she moved towards me, her hands crossed near her chest. To be honest, she looked like some interrogator. "Yes, actually I need a room and I heard that you run a PG", I spoke to her just wishing that I get a room. "And why would I lend you room?", She spoke showing zero interest.
"Because you run a PG, and I need a room, I believe, much simple to understand yeah?", I replied as I tried to maintain my cool. "What if I say that I won't give a room?", She replied with a straight face and stern expressions. Her eyebrows raised as she asked me this.
Having no answer to this, I thought it's best to leave than to get into an argument. I was to leave when she called me back and asked if I wanted a room. I nodded and she asked me to sit. Well, first ray of hope.
"If I have to give you a room, I need to test your patience nah, what if I get complains from my other guests?", She said as she laughed. I found not much of any point in her talks, but yeah, I needed a room so I stayed quiet.
"Well, let me tell you that you have failed miserably at your patience test", she said and that was enough for me. "Excuse me, madam, in that case, I shall lookout for some other place", I argued back. I tried my best to not rant out my day's frustration on her, but I failed. She looked at me in surprise, but I continued, "I came here to get a room because I need it. But here, you are interested in testing my patience."
"I am sorry", she spoke. Her eyes were lowered as she regretted it. So was I. "I am sorry. My intention was not to trouble you, I am extremely sorry. Have a seat. Let's talk work", she said. I sighed and sat.
"Ma'am, I am sorry too", I said. She looked at me and then started asking me for how long do I need the room and the amount that I need to pay, etc. I told her that I need the room for someone month at least. She agreed. We were discussing money now. She was asking me if I needed AC and many other questions. I was answering them randomly.
But my mind was busy thinking about something else. "She went in the opposite direction when we left, then how come she is here, before me!?", I don't know why but this silly thought had occupied my whole mind. As I didn't understand this whole thing, I decided to ask her. She laughed at my question initially, as if I had cracked some big joke.
"How do you ask such silly questions while we are deciding the payment you need to make?", She said still laughing. I just showed a small, fake smile as I tried to match up to her laughter. "Actually, one of my guest, who left today, had forgotten the passport here, and I was going to give it back to them, and while returning I took an auto, so I am here before you", this was the first time Ms.Argument answered to any of my questions honestly.
Later she continued giving her instructions and I was thinking of her name when it struck my head. "Aisha, she said it with so much pride", I told myself and looked at her. "Let's take you to the room then", she said. "Aisha, I am sorry about.. umm.. about", I was trying to justify myself. I don't know but I felt I should explain. "It's okay", she said and smiled as she got up from her seat to escort me to the room. I smiled back.
"She has a nice smile", I thought to myself and mentally slapped myself for distracting myself. We reached the room and she started speaking a long list of instructions.
"Water will be available 24 by 7, and you won't have to face much power cuts. So not much to worry about. Also, let me know if you'll be having lunch and dinner here or somewhere else, so I can get it prepared.". "I'll have it here itself. If there is a change in the plan any time, I shall let you know.", I replied.  "Also, no girls allowed after 8", she said or warned or I don't know what. I nodded my head.
"Koi girlfriend hai Kyaa tumhari?", she asked me out of nowhere. I looked at her strictly and she immediately apologized. "I am sorry, no personal questions, I remember the policy", she said. "You better remember that. According to our policy, you can't ask me personal questions. I have my reasons", I reminded her again. She nodded.
After some tonnes of instructions, she left. Honestly, I was least interested. I wanted to just lie down on the bed, not think anything about today and doze off. I grabbed my position on the bed. I kept turning and tossing on the bed. Unable to sleep, I took the phone in hand. I switched it on and inserted the new SIM I had in my bag. Yes, I had switched off it as it was need of the situation.
While randomly scrolling, I came across this one news. "Politician Rajesh Pratap Singh: Suicide or Murder?". I opened it and someone had tried to prove it suicide by some unreal facts. Well, I know the truth and how can I believe in the news. I came across various articles.
Another one was titled "Murder for the good". I opened it immediately and read where some crimes of the politician were mentioned justifying that the murder was not wrong.
I did not care about anyone's opinion for according to me, this revenge was necessary. I kept my phone on the side and closed my eyes to get some much-needed sleep.
Tired of the day's happenings, I was asleep soon. Yet again, in the land of relief with no memories of the past and no worries of the future.
