Shouta gave one of his milder sadistic grins and decided to be sassy. Which was really one of the only joys with teaching these brats. "Iida," the bespectacled boy flinched slightly from his teacher's tone. The rest of the class turned to watch, and now there were two popcorn buckets. Shouta refused to murder his brain by questioning it. "When did I say we were doing a training exercise?"
Iida shifted uncomfortably. "Well, you didn't, but since we are training to be heroes-" Shouta cut him off.
"If you all must know, we're going to the hospital." The class (army) that was 2-A stared at him in disbelief, save for Katsuki who was still attempting to spam his best friend. Shouta sighed once again.
The one day he didn't have a headache.
Shouta held up his hand before anyone could start asking questions. "As future heroes, you will have a lot of experience with hospitals. Whether it be because you yourselves are injured, or because you must question a victim of a villain attack. Your own family may be targeted by villains, which is why it's important to get this kind of experience early on."
Jirou raised her hand. "So we're gonna tour around a hospital?" The class seemed to brighten at the prospect, Uraraka even saying that she's make notes for Midoriya. Shouta suppressed the urge to facepalm.
"Actually, no. We are not touring the hospital, we're visiting someone in it." The class once again looked at him in disbelief, this time including a steadily panicking Bakugou.
Iida raised his hand. "Sir, who exactly do we know that is currently hospitalized?" Shouta sighed. Extra credit to Bakugou and Bakugou only, because these kids were pretty dumb sometimes.
Mic, who was currently sitting in the drivers seat (a very unwise decision) looked to his husband. "Come on, just tell them." Shouta pinched the bridge of his nose. Time for a headache.
"You'll be visiting Midoriya. And Bakugou, before you jump out the window, keep in mind that if you're hospitalized, you can't visit Midoriya." This did not stop Katsuki from sticking up the middle finger and continuing to stand, his face twisted in both fear and rage. Even Iida seemed too shocked to scold him.
Tears began to pool in Uraraka's eyes, the brunette raising her own hand. "S- sensei, what happen- happened to Deku!?" The other students could only nod along to the question, and even Shinsou (now awake and filled in by Kaminari) was in shock.
Katsuki butted in before Shouta could answer. "Better question." He snarled out. "Why the fuck didn't you tell us!? That's what happened, isn't it!? He was in the hospital!? He got injured!? I was fucking right. I knew he was hurt, and you didn't tell us!" At this moment, Shouta knew the hot headed blonde was trying to suppress tears.
He raised his hand to placate the class. "Midoriya is alive and well. He was hurt pretty severely, but he's currently awake and recovering as we speak. He requested that you all visit." Most of the class perked up at this, but Katsuki continued fuming.
"So you've been visiting him this entire time? He's been well enough for visitors, but you didn't think to tell us until a week later!?" He spat out. Iida tiredly turned to his fuming classmate.
"Bakugou, please. You have to understand that Midoriya may not have wanted us there."
"I'm his best fucking friend!" Katsuki shouted back.
