Shouta nodded as he tries to process the multitude of information. He knew Midoriya liked to analyze quirks, but this was just a bit much to receive all at once. But he would find those kids all the same, if only to make up for his failure. His failure to save a kid he was hired by the school to teach and protect. Shouta kept himself from staring at the boy's thighs. Not legs. There were none left.

Somehow Izuku seemed to notice what Shouta was avoiding looking at. The teen smiled softly before pulling the blanket back over his lap. "So how's Eri?" It was the first thing that came to mind, and Izuku was genuinely curious about her.

Aizawa gave a half hearted shrug. "She's good. Been coloring all over the place, and playing with mine and Mic's hair. I've had to take out so many braids this last week." Izuku snorted, covering his mouth with his hands. Shouta gave a half hearted glare and the two continued like this, striking up random conversations. Izuku occasionally looked out the window for lengthened periods of time, staring out at the sunny courtyard wistfully.

Shouta sighed. Problem Child was horrible at hiding the fact that something was wrong. Despite this, he wouldn't tell Shouta if he wanted or needed something unless the man literally forced him to. But the man already had a pretty decent idea of what Midoriya was wanting.

"Hey kid," Izuku turned from his gaze out the window. "The class has been pretty curious about you not being there. Bakugou especially has been wondering where you're at." Izuku's eyes widened at the mention of his best friend.

"Kacchan?"

Shouta nodded. "Want them to come for a visit? I can arrange it if you want." Izuku teared up and nodded vigorously. Shouta had thought he'd be more reluctant given how much the boy hadn't wanted anyone to know about what was going on before, but he supposed one can only go so long before having to talk to someone.

Shouta half smiled and leaned back in his chair. "Alright then. How about I take this plate downstairs and dump it. I'm surprised you ate even that much." Izuku nodded, although a bit hesitantly.

"You'll come back soon, won't you?" Shouta leaned over and ruffled his hair. The man was slightly surprised when Izuku instantly leaned into the head pat. But he smiled and picked up the plate, standing up.

"Sure thing kid. If anything, Mic will be up here before I am." Izuku gave one more hesitant nod and soft smile. Shouta found himself wishing that that smile would get just a bit brighter, like how it was just a few days ago.

Shouta sighed and pulled out his phone as he exited the room, closing the door behind him.

TheCoffeeGod-ScreetchBeetch

Had Hizashi changed their names again? Oh well. His name was associated with coffee, he'd live.

TheCoffeeGod: where r u? I just left 2 throw out the nasty dog shit they call food

ScreetchBeetch: brutal, Sho. The stupid vending machine wasn't working, but I got the snacks. Heading up now

TheCoffeeGod: did u get 1 for Midoriya?

ScreetchBeetch: the fuck do you think I am!? Of course I got snacks for the baby!

Shouta rolled his eyes at the nickname. Hizashi could be such a mother hen at times. He clicked off his phone and dumped the disgusting crap into a bin he found in the hallway a few halls down from Midoriya's room.
