|12| Thank You. Thank You For Saving Me When I Didn't Want To Be

Start from the beginning

"We're eating our ice cream, which, mind you, is humongous. Like, this big." He stretched out his hands to the height equivalent to his head, leaning back as if it were too much. Shouta rolled his eyes, leaning over to whisper in Izuku's ear.

"Pssst. Hey, kid. Yeah, you with the face. Lemme tell ya something. He's exaggerating." Izuku gave another laugh, his voice slowly losing it's rasping. Hizashi pouted, crossing his arms and slumping his shoulders like a child. Shouta rolled his eyes (he's doing that a lot, huh?) and faced his husband.

"Would you like me to finish the story?"

"Absolutely not. Now, we've been there about twenty minutes, just eating ice cream. And, out of no where, get this." His voice dropped to a dramatic whisper, causing Izuku to lean forward.

"He goes and kisses me!" Hizashi exclaimed, spreading his hands wide apart. A burst of red shot up Shouta's face, causing him to burrow his face into his scarf. Izuku's eyes widened, a giant grin dominating his face. Seriously, the sun was getting jealous.

"Did not. He kissed me."

Hizashi smirked, turning to Izuku with a knowing look. He scooted closer to Shouta, giving a quirky smile. "Oh yeah? Liar! He kissed me, case closed."

"No, I did not, case closed. Hey, kid. Would I lie to you?"

Izuku scratched the back of his head, looking to the side sheepishly. He gave a small grimace like smile, drawing out his reply. "Weeeeeeell...." Shouta gave a betrayed look and huffed, crossing his arms. Hizashi laughed, his face in a closed eye smile. The blonde pointed to his husband smugly, reveling in his victory.

"Ha! I win! That's your fault for all those 'logical ruses'. Anyways, my turn~!" The man singsonged, his voice annoyingly high pitched. Shouta suppressed another groan as he buried his face back into his scarf. Hizashi tapped his chin thoughtfully, causing Izuku to fall back with a groan of boredom.

"Okay, okay! May I Ask... what're your favorite songs, Midoriya? Artists and all, because this is totally not a reason for the author to subtly share her taste in music!" Izuku tilted his head, confusion written across his face.

"Huh?"

"Hmm?" Hizashi replied obliviously, blinking a few times. Shouta readjusted his scarf further up his face, warily eyeing the two. They're catching the Aoyama disease. All this 'author' bullcrap and the fourth wall. It's weird.

Izuku looked upwards as if it would help jog his memory, hands absently playing with his hospital gown. Ah yes, they were still in a hospital. Thanks for the reminder. "Well.... there's Heather by Conan Gray. Oh, and Young Volcanoes by Fall Out Boys. Ooh, ooh! And I love Devil Town and Bad Child by Tones And I. And Bullet by Hollywood Undead is amazing! But there's always Alan Walker, especially Faded and Darkside.... ack, but Imagine Dragons is super good too! And The Greatest Showman soundtrack is so good, especially A Million Dreams and Rewrite The Stars, although The Other Side is really cool-"

Hizashi broke his muttering spree with a chuckle, leaning forward to pat the green haired boy's shoulder. "Hey, if you're that into music, we can totally make a playlist another time! I'll even mention it on the radio show. We'll call it..... Blonde and Green! Hey, don't judge, it's a work in progress!" Hizashi whined at Shouta's snort, Izuku still giggling. Soon enough it died down as Shouta began his own turn.

"May I Ask why you think black coffees are 'abominations', Midoriya?" The boy immediately yelped and hid his face in his hands, Hizashi looking between the two in confusion. He was obviously missing something. Shouta continued to smugly (why he's smug, I dunno. He's having fun embarrassing Izuku?) smirk at the child as Izuku groaned into his hands, regretting any and all life decisions that led him to say black coffees were abominations. That's a lot of life choices.
