Tori was a little dizzy. Maybe a lot dizzy now that she thought about it. She chuckled to herself as she swayed to the sound of the music with her drink in hand, threatening to spill due to her careless and loose movements.
She was enjoying herself to say the least. The warm feeling in her stomach lingered as well as the burning sensation in her throat. Her vision was a bit cloudy, as well as her mind. But that didn't stop the girl from stumbling around her house trying to find someone to dance with.
Colliding with bodies and tripping over feet, the girl finally saw a flash of bright red hair. She smiled to herself as she made her way to the redhead.
"Hey!" She greeting the girl over the loud music that was making her ears pound slightly.
Cat turned around and smiled widely before pushing away the guy who's hands were glued to her hips. She grabbed Tori's free hand and pulled her closer. Cat reached for the red cup and took it from Tori's hand, she swung her head back and finished the last of Tori's drink before throwing the cup on the ground.
"Lonely?" Cat questioned the girl as they started moving a bit with the music.
Tori shrugged, "I lost everyone when I went to the bathroom and then I ended up by the drinks..."
Cat giggled. "Someone's been looking for you!" The girl poked Tori's nose playfully.
Tori raised an eyebrow, "Who?"
"Jade!" She smiled, followed by a hiccup.
Tori grew nervous. She never knew what Jade had in store for her. The goth girl was extremely unpredictable. "Oh? Why?"
Cat shrugged. "Dunno." She hiccupped again. "I gotta go pee. I think Jade is outside."
Tori nodded before watching the small girl scurry off, weaving her way professionally through the crowd of intoxicated teenagers. The brunette managed to squeeze her way out of the living room and made her way to the backyard.
Not many people were outside. Just a small group of kids smoking by the fireplace and a couple making out by a tree. Tori looked around for a bit until she saw the girl sitting alone on the old wooden bench that was isolated from everyone else. Her head was looking up at the sky. She didn't notice Tori as she walked to the girl slowly, careful not to trip on anything.
Bright teal eyes finally met with Tori's, and Tori could've sworn that she saw a hint of a smile appear on her lips. But maybe that was the alcohol talking.
"Cat said you were looking for me?" Tori finally spoke up as she stood in front of the girl, she played with the small gold ring on her middle finger.
Jade simply shrugged. "I wouldn't say looking for you. Just a general wonderment."
"Oh." Tori furrowed her eyebrows, slightly disappointed in the answer.
Jade noticed this and for some reason, she felt the need to make up for her lack of interest at first. Sighing, she scooted over and nodded her head to the space she made. Tori took the hint and happily sat down.
The two sat in a comfortable silence for what seemed like forever. Tori's occasional hiccup breaking it here and there.
Jade decided to speak just as Tori was getting lost in the stars above her. "You've been avoiding me."
Tori scrunched up her eyebrows and looked back and Jade who's eyes were still glued the the stars. She thought she misheard. "Hm?" The girl hummed.
"You've been avoiding me." Jade repeated.
Tori definitely heard correctly. "What do you mean? We were together all yesterday and today." She responded.
