Troubling Memories

I remember as it were yesterday. I awoke myself barley alive, contained within the malice. My blood flowing causing my powers to awaken and form a dimmed light in my body. I looked translucent. As I watched through visions I remember feeling his glowing eyes, staring, watching me and every move I made, every word I said--yet I said it mentally, not out loud. I remembered seeing the events that happened hours earlier through the running visions my powers flashed back. Sounds of dying people: villagers trapped under collapsed buildings, their homes, as they slowly burned with flames until nothing or ruin remained. And the deadly beams of the guardians flashing upon everywhere ending lives at the brink of a second.

To what I thought was the end I saw the last thing I never wanted to image. I saw knights as they surrounded father. Father and his guards managed to defeat and weakened a few couple of guardians. They could've gone on for a short time, for a bit to run, cover, and hide. But father refused to go. Instead he allowed me and Link to make a mistake. Without warning the guardian pointed the beam towards father, his guards (some whom I knew) and fired at them.

The last words father said was "My daughter...." Just before he was hit by the guardian beam and the area, exploded. Although I looked away from them, I could hear the sounds, and feel it's heat. It's easy to imagine what became of them. Part of the Castle wall got destroyed as well after the guardian shot in their direction. The wildlife surrounding helped the fire and smoke to surround the spot where Father stood. I couldn't see him, nor any of his guard when I turned to see the flames. Father was no more. That flashback is ingrained in my head.

As years passed I prayed everyday to the Goddesses for guidance as I silently fought Ganon. I also heard voices far in the distance, outside. The whispers of the spirit realm just as mother and grandmother did. Devotion of praying, continuously praying for years without stop...something reminded me of the reality outside. The thought of Link.

A century passed by then. Enough time for his injuries to recover and heal. So I woke up Link, I watched him every passing day recovering from his slumber. Recovering his past life and the person he was is what began his recovery. He also wanted to know who I was. He learned more about me as he did everything I left behind for him. Freeing the divine beasts and regaining the master sword. This would be the way that Link would defeat Ganon.

Along the path he encountered unfamiliar people, even to me. Most of the people, our friends, families, and allies from 100 years ago are no more. Yet only a few remain. Even though they are all strangers, Link never failed to help them with their requests and favors which led him to be once again the talk around Hyrule.

Unexpectedly, Link came across Hyrule Castle and ventured it. Later on venturing he made face to face with the Sanctum, and without hesitation he courageously entered wearing his champions garb, and the master sword in hand. With the help of the divine beasts Link defeated the first and second forms of Calamity Ganon. Then in Hyrule Field, the last final stand was made with Ganon's true beastly form of darkness and malice. There he freed me from the grasps of evil. In that spot, I saw Ganon for the first time in 100 years. Goddess to beast. No matter how many forms Ganon took, those will never be enough to outlive my power. The one that I used fully to seal and destroy Ganon once and for all. Those are all the events in which led me to the moment I am in now. Freedom.

The sky red as blood slowly faded into its regular blue. I could hear Link's footsteps approaching towards my way. Even though he was there, I looked into the distance of Hyrule Castle. The place I once called home. My chamber of trauma. A chamber for those deaths. The ruins of the Castle Town surrounds the castle. As Link approached got closer I couldn't help but feel proud. I never felt so good for so long.

"I've been keeping watch over you this whole time..." I began. "I've witnessed your struggles to return to us as well as your trials in battle."

As link god closer I decided to give him all of my thoughts about him.
