                   " begin again "

It had been a total of two months since Din, Lana and the child found themselves laying low on Sorgan. Lana wishes they could stay there forever. Although she loved the adrenaline rushing adventures they've had together, nothing can compare the serenity of her home with the people she loved around her. There was a daily routine for the last couple months. Din would wake early in the morning where the entire village was deep in their slumber. He would make himself breakfast and eat it free of any eyes that could land on him. After, he would walk to the side of the bed to see a peacefully sleeping Lana with the child curled in her arm. He would gently wake her, gently grabbing the child and setting him down to eat. On occasion, before he slipped his helmet back on, he'd give her a peck on her forehead to wake her.

Lana would get ready for the day and find herself out at the pods. The others had taken care of them while she was away, but now that she was home, she felt the duty to take care of them herself. Din would do routine trips around the village to help wherever he was asked to. The child would wonder around with the other children, enjoying the company. By sunset, Din would retrieve the child and return to meet Lana at their temporary home.

Lana and Din knew it couldn't last forever. Their little paradise was just that. They were still on the run whether they liked it or not.

This night was the one they both were dreading. Lana walked back into the home after a day's work with a huff. The day had been tough, but it was about to get harder.

Din sat with the child on his lap feeding him the nights dinner. Lana's plate sat perpendicular to the two. Din had laid out her sleeping gown on the bed and towels for her to freshen up. Lana saw the gesture and smiled to herself. Din's demeanor came off so terrifying, but when he found someone he cared about, he cared deeply and completely.

Lana sat down beside the two, grabbing the apple on her plate and taking a bite out of it. She looked over to Din who had his head hung. She dropped her eyes to her plate; she knew what he was thinking.

"It's time to move on isn't it." She asks, but with no response. Din didn't want to say anything because he knew whatever he would say wouldn't help the situation.

"When?" She whispers.

"Two days. We have some time to pack." Din responds through the beskar helmet.

"I'm sorry Lana." He mumbles.

"I understand. I love the little guy, but I understand. He deserves to live in safety." She responds, looking at the child with a smile.

The Razor crest halts to a stop as they land on a planet that didn't compare to the others that they had visited together. It was a dark and dirty city, litter everywhere and all the buildings were vandalized. Lana moved her gaze from the city outside the razor crest, to Din Infront of her sitting in the pilot chair. She fiddled with the journal in her hands. Before they left Sorgan she had grabbed a couple of her father's things. She found an old journal she had never seen before. She held it in her hands the entire ride. She was terrified to open it; she was terrified to feel her grief all over again.

"This is where you think we are going to find his family?"

"I think we might have a lead. No guarantees though." He says moving his hands around the board in front of him turning the Razor Crests power systems off. Lana checked her pistol in her thigh holster, and the blaster stashed in her waistline on her low back. She had two vibroblades, one in each boot. She set the journal down on the dash so she could return to it later.
