Chapter 5

Momo:
"Oh no. You don't have to."

Dahyun:
"Please. I insist."

I look at her and nod lightly.

Momo:
"Alright."

Dahyun:
"Great!"

I continued driving until we reach Gangnam. Dahyun tells me that she's heading inside a company. Surprisingly, it's the same one I'm heading to. So we both walk together until we reach the lobby.

"There you are!"

We both look up. A middle age woman walks towards Dahyun and wraps her in a hug.

I step back and watch.

Dahyun:
"M-Mother...!"

They pull away.

Mrs. Kim:
"I missed you!"

Dahyun:
"Heh, I missed you too, Mom."

She looks at me.

Mrs. Kim:
"And who might you be?"

Dahyun steps by my side.

Dahyun:
"She's my friend. Her name is Hirai Momo."

I offer my hand and Dahyun's mother shakes it.

Mrs. Kim:
"It's nice to meet you, Momo."

Momo:
"You too, Mrs Kim."

"Hirai Momo?" I hear. Looking past Mrs Kim, I see Im Nayeon looking at me. She's with another girl who has a pair of big eyes.

Momo:
"Nayeon...?!"

Dahyun:
"Uh, mom? How about you head to the car first? I'll be right behind you."

Mrs. Kim:
"Alright. I'll see you."

Dahyun's mother walked out and Nayeon and her friend walked towards us.

Nayeon:
"Dahyun. You're here too?"

Dahyun:
"For my mother."

Nayeon:
"Oh."

She turned her attention to me.

"You're finally here."

Momo:
"Hi."

The big eyed girl offered her hand.

"Park Jihyo."

Nayeon:
"She's going to help with the promo and outfits."

I started reaching for her hand till I heard her name.

Momo:
"P-Park Jihyo?"
"You're the Park Jihyo?!"

I take her hand and shake it.

"You and your family have done so much. I love your work."

She chuckled and smiled.

Jihyo:
"I'm glad."

Nayeon coughed and I quickly let go of Jihyo and look at her.

Momo:
"S-Sorry about that. Anyway, when are we starting?"

Nayeon:
"The music's done. All we need is your voice and dance moves."
"We'll record tomorrow morning. Our choreographer already came up with a few starting moves but we're waiting for your input."

Momo:
"Nice. I also already started on it. It's in my journal if you want to take a look?"

Nayeon:
"Perfect. And yeah, I want to know what kind of moves you can come up with."

Dahyun:
"It seems my presence was unneeded."

Nayeon laughed and ruffled her hair.

Nayeon:
"You'll be the first to hear the song. Fair?"

Dahyun smiled and nodded.

Dahyun:
"Alright."
"I think I should head out."

Nayeon hugged her and said goodbye to her. Jihyo waved her out. As she was walking out, she turned around and waved at me. I slowly waved back and couldn't help but smile. Then, she was gone.

Nayeon:
"Call me crazy but you two look like a couple."

I instantly look at her and say "huh?"

Jihyo:
"I was just about to say that."

Momo:
"N-No. I just met her today."

Nayeon:
"You two are working fast."

Momo:
"What?!"

Nayeon and Jihyo laughed. I tilted my head in confusion.

Nayeon:
"I think I'm gonna like working with you."
"Anyway, grab your bags and head to the 7th floor. We'll lead you to your room."
