Im sorry I didn't update yesterday! I went to Johor for the whole day so I did not have time to update. Hope you guys enjoy this chap though!

Chapter 7

Claire P.O.V

We all headed to our rooms to start packing. Kaylee entered her room with mom & I entered my room with Stacey.

"I will really miss her. But maybe its a good thing too. Kaylee needs a stable life. I'm sure Aunt Sara will provide her one for the time being...seeing as how mom's struggling...& you" she said, pointing a finger at me "also need to go to school. I'll try & find some job somewhere once we've settled down. Dosen't look like mom & Dad are going to be together for now"

"Stacey, lets not bother about school first. We need to find a home or we'll be homeless" I replied reasonably.

"I know, but you still need a proper education" she argued.

"yes, I know. You too... but now. Let's just concentrate on helping mom"

"ok, fine" she sighed, giving in.

"Girls are you done?!" mom asked, shouting from downstairs.

"yes we are. Coming!" I replied.

We both headed downstairs & ate lunch together with everyone else. After eating, I helped Aunt Sara clear the table with Stacey while Kaylee washed the plates.

"You're such a deary!" Aunt Sara gushed at Kaylee.

"Uh, it's just washing plates...?" Stacey said, rolling her eyes.

"oh Stacey dear, I just want to make her feel comfartable. You're not jealous, are you?" Aunt Sara asked, patting her arm.

Stacey just shooked her head & continued washing the dishes in silence.

After we cleared everything, mom suggested we go to the park - including Megan. We tried protesting but her decision was final which means it was no use.

Megan's actually fine & all, it's just... she's plain boring. For a kid her age.

We had no choice though, so we brought Megan along with strict instructions to always be by her side at all times.

Once we reached the park, she ran off to the playground & told us she wanted to stay there till it was time to go home. We tried reasoning something out with her but she shook her head & stuck her tongue out at us.

Yeah, I hate her already.

We finally gave in & decided to just sit at the bench nearby.

Stacey soon became bored of just watching Megan go up & down the slide so she decided to head to the shop nearby to buy 3 cones of ice-cream.

She came back with three cones of chocolate ice-cream with rainbow rice on top. Yum!

While we were busy eating, we did not realise that Megan had slipped off to find a drink of water. She could have easily told us she was thirsty & we could have bought for her a bottle of mineral water but no, she had to make us panick.

We gobbled our ice-cream & split up to find Megan. I looked at the playground over & over again to make sure Megan wasn't playing hide & seek with us but really there was no sign of her.

Suddenly, my phone rang.

I immediately looked at the caller ID to find out mom is calling me. Just great!

Me: hey mom (in a pretend cherry voice)

Mom: hello sweetie, you should be making your way back already. It's getting late

Me: oh of course mom, we'll be home soon

Mom: You're with Kaylee & Megan right?

Me: yea, of course..

Mom: ok, good. Please make your way home now. Bye love

Me: bye

I hunged up on the phone & rushed to look for Stacey & Kaylee. Just as I ran, Kaylee & Stacey came by...with MEGAN. What luck!

"yes! you found her!" I screamed in delight. "where did you find her?" I asked.

"we'll talk later. Lets go now" Stacey said tugging me to walk. She looked tired & Megan's face was red from crying, I suppose.

This chapter was supposed to b publised yesterday, but like I said, I went to Johor. So srry...
