"Beta's rules. I have to babysit you until the full moon is over" He groaned with a glazed-over expression.

"But, why n-"

"No time for chit-chat. so stop kissing your roommate and put on some pants I'm outside," he said

"WHAT?! we weren't kissing?!" Sal and I screamed in unison. "And I am wearing pants"

"Mhm," he rolled his eyes and stepped out.

"I thought that door was locked?"Sal asked me "I thought you locked it?"

"Dude what if that was Bella??"He moved to lock it only up realize the lock was broken, probably by Mason when he opened it.

Sal and I glanced at each other for a brief second "Yeah you should go..." he said moving away from the door.

"...already on it"
I nearly fell over putting on some jeans to replace the joggers I had on earlier. Grabbed my phone and left.

"Took you long enough," He said as soon as I stepped out of the room, I could barely keep up with his pace as he literarily speed-walked out of the pack.

He seemed pissed

I've never seen him angry before and most especially during a full moon, I'm concerned he might ditch me before the time but at the same time I'm scared he might do a shit job at chaining me properly and I'd hurt someone in the school.

"Quit your fussing" he suddenly snapped at me, I'm about to ask him what the fuck he meant when I remembered the whole mind link thing, which I'm currently blocking.

"It's all over your face, I'm currently pissed so tone down the whole doomsday misery vibe you got going on" he huffed and walked into the Bar.

"Maybe I'm worried because you're pissed on a full moon of all days"

"So what? I'm very capable of handling my anger" he answered and signaled the bartender.

The thing about the Pub is that it's owned and run by humans, it was exciting because It's surrounded by supernaturals, The owner however knows about us so he feeds his workers something called vervain against the vampires and Wolfsbane against us.

And he had moonshine In stock for days like this. I guess.

Mason took a shot of moonshine and sighed from the burn. "Well, getting drunk before you can chain me up isn't better handling," I said and the bartender gave me a look.

"Wow" he whispered to himself but you know Wolf hearing and all.
"It's not like that, "I said Immediately making the bartender turn away in shock and embarrassment.

Mason chuckled.

Glad to see that awkwardness was amusing to him.

"It is amusing," He said turning to me with a smirk.

"How are y-"

"I told you this full moon is different it messes with all of us and for you, I can hear your thoughts as clear and loud as day" he mocked.

My mouth fell open.

"So when I called you an insane maniac earlier-?"

"Heard you clear as hell, you're very potty-mouthed," he said taking another shot.

"Okay wow "I sighed like my day wasn't already going to shit.

"If you don't want me then I can call Jeffery right now and he'll take on the responsibility," He said taking another shot without breaking eye contact.

"Um... It's not like I'm being ungrateful but I've been partnered with you for the third time now, I'd assume you were tired of me" I said and he scoffed.

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not but you know what the Alpha says goes right?" He took another shot.

"You should probably calm down with the shots," I said holding the cup before he could take it.

"It either you drink it or I'll drink it," He said sizing me up and the cup.

Without any hesitation, I took the shot and tried to hold in my reaction to the burn.
It made him smile.

"Another" he beckoned to the Bartender.

"You can't get drunk," I said and he smiled "It's for you, to help with the taste of Wolfsbane in your mouth for later" he moved the cup to me.

"This place is really loud but you can hear and listen perfectly well, or should I say filtered the noise perfectly well," He said and I looked around in shock.

He was right.

"Why is this moon different?"

"It's called a blue moon and as you know it comes once in a very long time, it heightens our abilities and there are perks but the only con to it, amongst others is the need to kill every vampire you see today..." He said lowly and pushed the cup to me. "...so you need to get drunk it's easier that way"

"I don't think I'd have that effect," I said positively.

"And why is that?"

"There is a vampire right there and I don't feel like clawing his face off" I looked over his shoulder to a guy looking lost in thought.

"He's not a Vampire, his heart is just beating slow and low" Mason looked at him with an extended eyebrow. "Weird"

"What do you mean? He's not-" I stopped suddenly as my eyes drifted to a guy who just walked in, his eyes looked like he was searching for someone.

This guy was a vampire.

"Hey glowy eyes, you were saying?" Mason mocked me but I just couldn't look away everything in me wanted to attack him.

"Kyle" Mason said holding the fist that had formed on my lap.

"Kyle!" He snapped at me, and I turned to him. "We're leaving"

In the basement, I felt calmer but I was somewhat ashamed of my attitude and almost actions.

"Don't feel bad at least you didn't cause a scene" he said making me cringe.

"Can we just get this over with" I groaned standing in place.

"Do you feel like it's started?" He asked walking towards me with the bottle of wolfsbane, he didn't shove it at me like he usually does, instead, he handed it over to me with a concerned look on his face.

"No"

"Okay then we have time before- ah!" he suddenly growled and dropped the chain, the sound of bone breaking suddenly made the both of us freeze.

"A-are you shifting right now?" I gasped in shock.

"I-I think so" he groaned collecting the wolfsbane from me, drinking it aggressively.
His eyes were glowing and his bone-breaking only made my heart skyrocket.

I'm scared.

"You have to chain me up Kyle I'm shifting and I can't control it" He begged.

"W-what do you mean? What about me?"

"HURRY! And get my brother aughhhh!" he groaned scratching around the ground.

"Okay, Okay," I said running to chain him up but I fell to the ground as well.

I was shifting too.
