A short story.
His entire muscular body is covered in white Christmas snow from head to toe, an impeccable illustration of a snowman brought to life in this wintry woodland where the ground beneath our feet is as if it was a cloud itself.
The nearby village lit up the forest with rays of crimson and sage lights that wrap around the body of each tree that shelters many. Will took my hand; lead me towards the chants and joyous dancing of the county folk. A young man accompanied by a Woman handed us some hot cocoa in a beige clay cup with a few pink marshmallows that tried to devour the contents.
The festivities lasted until the moon was chock-full, while the embers from the seared flaming fire danced around everyone as we sit here telling tales. I settled my head on wills shoulder and buried my face into his soft knitted sweater that my grandma made not two winters ago; he pulled me closer and encased his hands around my waist to shield me from the crisp night air.
"Do you enjoy it out here, love ?" Will said softly into my ear, trying to pick my brain about where we should live.
"very much," I express with the most distinctive smile plastered across my face.
"Perhaps we could get a little cottage of our own and watch the stars pass by," I say, giving into his investigation while staring into his hazel eyes.
He smirked and placed a kiss on my forehead; we sat here watching the bonfire diminish and the snowfall blissfully.
The golden sun drenched the flaky snow with brightness, a perfect Christmas morning. We bid the villagers goodbye and set off somewhere new, but first, we must visit grandmas house for a holiday brunch.
