"I guess we're sitting in the front," Dex said, turning to Wylie. "Are you cool with that?"
"Yeah, sounds great." Wylie said—even though Sophie noticed he looked a little sad that he couldn't sit with Linh.
"Alright," Alvar said as they all piled in. "Are we all ready?"
"Yes," They all moaned before Alvar started the van and they left.
Sophie decided that since the cabin was pretty far away, she'd fall asleep, but her phone rang instead.
It was Keefe.
"Why on earth is he calling this early in the morning...?" Sophie muttered.
"He may've seen my Instagram post about us leaving on this trip," Biana said with a shrug, putting a fuzzy, pink neck-pillow around her neck.
Sophie nodded before answering the call and saying, "Good morning Keefe,"
"'Morning Foster," He said before letting out a string of yawns. "Sorry it's so early, I saw that you guys were going somewhere on Biana's story and I wanted to virtually tell you goodbye."
"Thanks Keefe," Sophie said, smiling. "That's really sweet of you."
"Don't mention it," He said with a small laugh. "Oh, and, uh, before you hang up, I just want to tell you to stay safe. I know that you're Sophie Foster and unharmed is pretty hard thing for you to be, but please try. I don't want anything to happen to you."
"Thank you, Keefe—and don't worry, I will," She told him before saying bye and hanging up.
As soon as Sophie put her phone down there was a chorus of awes and oohs throughout the van.
"What?" She asked, confused.
"Um, you had it on speaker the whole time," Dex said with a snicker.
Sophie's face turned pink. "I did?"
"Yep," Biana said with a grin. "And it was so cute. Seriously Sophie, Keefe is head-over-heels for you; you need to tell him that you are too."
"She's waiting for the 'right time'." Fitz said, doing air-quotes. "At least that what she told me last Summer."
"Wait," Linh said, turning around in her seat to face Sophie. "I don't understand why you have to tell Keefe your feelings. Why can't Keefe tell you how he feels if he likes you so much."
"Because Keefe is weak!" Alvar piped up with an evil laugh.
Soon the car was filled with arguments and death-threats aimed Alvar's way.

"I'm ready to sleep," Sophie said, flopping onto the couch in she and Linh's room.
There were only five bedrooms in the house, so Sophie and Linh shared one, Biana and Maruca shared one, Tam and Dex shared a room, Fitz and Wylie shared one, and Alvar got his own room.
"Are you sure you don't want to couch?" Linh asked, setting her stuff on the ground. "Because I really don't care."
Sophie shook her head. "No, I want you to have the bed. Besides, this couch is super soft, so I'll be fine."
"Okay..." Linh said, though she sounded like she didn't believe Sophie.
Sophie smiled as she put her pillows and blankets on the couch, grabbed Ella and laid down. She closed her eyes, ready for three extra hours of sleep.
But before she could, she heard, "Psst! Psst! Sophie, Linh, are you awake?"
Sophie and Linh sat up from where they were laying and looked at the door to where Dex and Tam were sticking their heads into their room.
"What are you doing?" Sophie asked, blinking at the two boys. "I was trying to sleep."
"Yeah, but Tam came up with this really cool idea," Dex said with a grin. "What if we pranked everyone I the house?"
Linh's face became confused. "How're we going to do that without getting caught?"
"Well, you know how everyone brought their own shampoo with them?" Tam said with an evil smirk. "There's some food coloring in the kitchen that Dex and I found—"
"Nope," Linh cut him off, crossing her arms over her chest. "That's such a mean thing to do."
"Aw come on," Dex said, pouting. "It'll be fun."
Sophie bit her lip. "Maybe we should do it," She told Linh with a shrug. "If we just tell them we won't participate, then they'll do it anyway and maybe even color our shampoo."
Linh's eyes turned wide as her face deflated. Then she sighed. "Fine—but only because I don't want to end up with green hair."
Both boys nodded before Sophie and Linh crawled out of their room and made their way down to the kitchen.
"We'll use the colors green, red, purple, and blue," Tam said, grabbing each color from the pantry. "Sophie, you'll color Biana and Maruca's hair, Linh will do Alvar, and Dex and I will color Wylie and Fitz's."
Sophie nodded, taking the red food coloring and creeping upstairs and into Biana and Maruca's room. She walked across the room—trying her best not to make any noises—and went into their bathroom.
The shampoo was already in the shower, so she put ten drops of food coloring in each of the shampoo bottles. She shook each bottle around until she was sure they were completely mixed in before she grabbed the food coloring and made her way back in the kitchen where everyone was waiting for her.
"Did you do it?" Tam asked.
Sophie nodded.
Tam smirked. "And now we wait."
