            He can still remember what he overheard Yimika, her sisters with her friends discussing. He remembered all they said that day shortly after she broke up with Demilade. That day he came with Demilade to her house three days after she broke up with him. Demilade had pleaded for him to come with him to help change Yimika's mind. Although he knew it was hopeless because Yimika have a strong mind and she hardly change her mind.

           He had gone back to tell her his mind after he made sure Demilade had gotten home. He had a lot of things to say to Yimika who he thought was crazy about his best friend and is ready to do anything for him. But she had denied their love and told him promises were meant to be broken. She had sent them away and closed the door in their face.

              He felt for his friend and he went back in an hope to convince her and remind her about the love they share. He knew everything about their relationship from the start even when Demilade did not know about Yimika's crush and when he also begins to crush on her but was afraid to ask her out. And he hope he could do something to convince Yimika to change her mind.

            But he had overheard her conversation with her family and friends that day when he comes back. He always knew that they don't like Demilade but they had begun to accept him because they couldn't change her mind about Demilade. But that day he knew Yimika had made up her mind and there was no convincing her.

           She had already accepted a white man's marriage proposal and she was ready to leave the country. And her family and friends agreed with her. And he hated what he heard them saying.

           Although he never told Demilade what he heard that day but he did his best to make his friend move on. Even if it was mostly by buying him books, and music albums and going to clubs.

          And now, she is here after what she made his best friend go through. And she is back to ruin his life the second time.

           Even though Demilade had said he doesn't like her anymore, it won't change how he feels about her and he is determined to make sure she won't have any place in his life.

"I'm sorry but that is not... "

"Who is going to believe the nonsense you want to say? I'm not a fool Mika. I know you. I'm never going to let you bring your ill fate into my friend's life. You are nothing but heartbreak and disappointment. Go find your life somewhere else. Whatever you are planning won't work. Never. I won't allow it. Go back to your poor husband. I pity the man so much. You are a mistake." He spat.

"Bayo." She said between gritted teeth. She was angry and trying to suppress it. She couldn't believe he could say such a thing. The Bayo she knew was Jovial, easy going and loving. But this guy in front of her is nothing close to that. All she could see in him is hatred for her.

"Don't call my name. Because that is who you are. You are not going to succeed the second time. You are nine years too late. Demilade doesn't have feelings for you. He is no longer wrapped around your little finger. So give up and get a life. And don't think of anything stupid. Remember, I made him date you in the first place. And I can do more than that. I mean every word. You know me." Bayo warned her in a stern voice.

           Yimika stared at him bewildered. She can't believe he was threatening him. But if there was someone who can do what he says, that is Bayo. He can talk Demilade to do things - if not everything.

           Bayo walked away with his daughter in his hand.

           Yimika looked around to make sure no one was watching them. When she noticed no one staring in their direction, she breathed out in relief and tried to comprehend what Bayo just said.

           She wondered how he got to know so much about her and she don't know how much he had told his friend. But what matters now is that Demilade had accepted her with open arms and she will take advantage of it to find a place in his world. And there was nothing Bayo will do about it. She will make sure of it. Moreover, that will be Demilade choice to make.

             Bayo returns to his wife's side and they both walked out of the supermarket and went to his car. Helen noticed her husband was still angry probably because he met with the woman they had met earlier.

"What's wrong Darling?" She asked.

"She pisses me off. She is the last person I want to see right now."

"But you do. Is she..."

          He chuckles lightly. "No. She is not. She is Demmy's ex-girlfriend. She left him about ten or nine years ago because of a temporary condition."

"Oh! Is she the one you said was Demmy's first real relationship?" She asked curiously.

"Yes. Demilade wasn't ever in a plaything. He was never a playboy despite his look. Always serious. He is the kind of person who doesn't trust people easily and he hardly let people in. Some might think he is very cold and can't love. But it isn't really true. He had gone through a lot and that had made him into who he is now. And what people don't know is if he loves, he loves so hard that you won't believe that he is the cold guy you once knew. And it's always so bad if he is heartbroken. What Yimika did to him left a big scar on him and I hate for it to repeat itself. She is nothing but bad energy."

"You said it's been ten years, didn't he date another woman after her and what about Lola?" Helen asked.

           He had forgotten about Lola. And the deal.

"Well, he dates a lady after her but she isn't a big deal like Yimika. Everyone knows it won't last. Demmy is very soft in heart. He hang out with some random ladies for a while but he wasn't into all that. His attitude is enough to send them away. But as for Lola, I don't know what he feels about Lola." He lied. The secret of the fake-contract relationship is for his friend to tell. He doesn't want her to view his best friend in a bad way. Only a few people would understand his reasons. "I'm not sure about it. And it is the first time, I don't know what is going on in his mind."

           Helen nodded.

"It's a beautiful thing - how you love each other and care about each other. I admire it. But don't worry your friend will find his other half someday." She assured him and she used her hand to pat him gently on the shoulder before placing a kiss on his cheek.

           He smiled gratefully.

"Thanks, Honey." He appreciated.

Hmmm, I just love Bayo. Don't you? He is one kind of a friend. Yimika knows she isn't welcome anymore. She should better start packing her loads and all those crazy thoughts in her head.
