"I entrust you with my body, my future, and my love. In this moment we are one until death takes us." Ghilesh's words snapped me back into focus and I took a deep breath.

"I entrust you with my body, my future, and my love. In this moment we are one until death take us." I wasn't sure if this was a more Orrian form of a binding because it was slightly different than the ones they did on Earth.

Ghilesh said something formal in Orrian and Rhex repeated the words as he slowly placed his medallion over my head, following the chain like I did so it would lay straight. Ghilesh said something else and Rhex repeated it, his words doing something to me. It was reaching a place deep inside and warming it. His voice seemed to smooth out the rough and harsh edges of the language and I could practically feel the words dancing on my skin. His green eyes held me captive and the urge to kiss him was overwhelming but Ghilesh clapped his hands, startling me slightly.

"Okay, here is the fun part." Ghilesh almost seemed excited and I quickly looked at him as he motioned us forward with a big smile. It seemed like he was anticipating something was going to happen but Rhex's hand was once again on my back, urging me forward and I felt the worry drift away as we moved closer to the table. Ghilesh coughed before sliding the cups towards us. "Go on, drink. Now you have to drink all of it or the binding won't work." I hesitated at the look on his face but Rhex carefully grabbed his cup and said something that had Ghilesh glaring at him coldly. The answering retort sounded scathing and I took my cup to avoid the confrontation, needing something to do if they started yelling at each other in Orrian.

I looked at the contents of the cup and it was clear like water and I cautiously sniffed it but there was no scent. Without overthinking it I brought it up to my lips and took a drink. The cool liquid seemed to burn a trail of fire right down to the core of my being but as it did I felt relaxed and rather tranquil. I finished it and I set my empty cup down. I truly liked the warm feeling the drink had given me.

I gasped at a sudden wrenching inside of my body. It didn't hurt but it felt strange and it happened again as I placed my hand on my stomach. I turned to look at Rhex as he set his cup down and I could feel the millions of little threads that bound us together. Tiny threads weaving around and around from his soul to my own that brought us closer and closer.

The final wrenching seemed to echo through me as I stared up at the man I had just bound myself to. I could feel his soul resting close to my own and I felt my breathing increase because of it. It was such an odd and intimate thing, feeling our souls connect, feeling how they bound together. My hands trembled and I looked at Ghilesh with wide eyes.

He looked positively overjoyed and clapped once. "To be honest, I thought you were going to throw up like the last couple did but that was something else." His amber eyes glowed with happiness and I glanced up at Rhex and I could see the shaking in his hands as well and felt relieved I wasn't the only one who had felt the wrenching. "It is sad that I had to wait seventy-eight years to get to see a true bonding of souls." I felt slightly wobbly as I tried to breathe and I placed my hands on the table, taking deep breaths in and out, trying to fix the disruption the bonding had done to the natural order of my body.

Rhex placed his hand on my back, rubbing up and down my spine, I appreciated the contact. I bent over the table, placing my forearms down with my head touching them.

"How do you feel, Liviya?" Ghilesh sounded curious and I looked up at him, my vision swimming slightly, trying to figure out how to focus. Two of the amber eyed Soul Maker danced in my vision and I felt a little nauseous.

"Like I'll never be the same again so a little freaked out but I don't feel... alone anymore. My body feels disjointed, like something has been pulled out of place and everything my body normally does needs to find a new rhythm. Other than that, I'm good." I pressed my face to my arms again, closing my eyes, focusing on my breathing.
