Chapter 5

TAYLORS POV

when we got to the station they asked if they could interview is separately , I didn't mind . neither did austin . I went first , the first things they asked me is my name , address and where I'm supposed to be now . it was about 10:00 so I told them school . they took note of the mans liscense plate and searched it on there computers . his name was Charles Bentley 42 years old lived in the south side of California , had 2 kids and a wife . apparently the wife had filed a police report of rape from him but there was insufficient evidence, so she was put in prison for 6 months for false accusation. it turns out this happened about 3 months ago .I asked if I could visit and talk to her they allowed me to . I went in the jail cell and I told her my situation, she was very understanding and kind. until she started going crazy screaming "he did it ! , he did it !" at the guards and everyone .
They asked me like 30 questions ! it was austins turn . he was barely there for anything so he won't know much . he came out of the room saying the detective said we could go, we got a ride home from the police car I slowly saw everyone standing on there porch because the can all see the flashing lights , women started running up to austins house demanding to know what's going on .

"I'm really sorry all this had to happen at your house" I said feeling guilty while leaning in for a hug

"it's okay , as long as your safe" he kissed me on the cheek

"I looked into his eyes for a second or two then i kissed him on the lips , it was beautiful ! he was so caring . ugh I thing I'm falling for him ! after the cops left we went home so I was driven home by the cops which didn't look too good when we pulled up to my house . when we reached my home , I thanked the officers for everything they did and ensured he won't be doing that to anyone else. when I walked inside everything was quiet .. two quiet ... I walked upstairs and took a nap . I woke up around 11:37pm I checked to see if my mom was home . she was ,
"hey momma" I said

"oh taylor ! your finally awake" she said jumping up to hug me when she saw me

"I love you mom" I said with care

"I love you too honey" she kisses my forehead

"im gonna go back upstairs , okay ?"

"okay honey"

when I got upstairs I checked my phone . I got a text from austin , "hey, I miss you tay❤️"
"I miss you too" I responded
when I ever talk to austin I get a good feeling I'm my heart , I think I love him
