" FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT " The cheers echoed around the arena to a Pokémon battle as a Charizard circled over head, its mouth alighting in flames. In the middle stood a tiny Rockruff, her pelt ruffled with shock and fear as she gazed upon the hovering dragon. Taking a few steps back, she placed a paw behind herself and rushed to the side of the arena. I can't do this I can't do this! She'd shriek in terror as the dragon took a lapping fly down on her. Sprinting for her safety she's slide into the gates that surrounded the battle field. The Rockruff would look back up right as the dragon tumbled down on her, his talons outstretched as he left a blood red marking sliced down her side. Yelping in terror once more, she'd gaze at the trainer who caught her, begging for him to let her out. All the person did was chuckle to his friends with a smug look, then shoot her a uncaring grin. The Rockruff knew she had to fight to get out of this .. or she would die .... just like Pichu
Her friend Pichu had encouraged her on and on about how to win the fights, and he himself had beaten a lucario once, even at his young age. But one day, he was taken away from Rockruff and what they called " The Finale Resting Spot ". She watched from the gates in horror as her fello friend was thrown and tossed in the air by the jaws of a fire breathing lizard. blood was sent flying everywhere and she can remember the screams .. they haunted her everywhere
Snapping back into reality, she remembered this was the same Charizard that killed her beloved friend. Sticking her rear end in the air, she'd leap and hold a paw out to bash the dragon across the face. Making a loud bark, the paw slammed against Charizards face. But the creature didn't move, only flicked his tail with an amused look. Damnit! She'd forgotten that nobody had taught her any moves. All she knew was tackle, pounce, and scratch. Turning around and trying to find a way out, she could only hear the howling laughter and chatter of everyone around her as they mocked the small pup. It wasn't funny though, she was about to be murdered! Didn't they are that!! Why was nobody offering to help her, or even just jumping into save her!! She looked across the arena at her friends she'd made over the months. They sat there, sorrowful looks upon there face. But did nothing. What friends they are ... she thank. Without a second to think the dragon had picked her up and tossed her into the sky. She felt the wind brush her face as she went airborne. Then as she felt herself falling, the wind was pushed against her face again as she felt the heat of Charizards tail smack her back into the air. She landed with a bang and dust seemed to cloud the whole arena as she coughed and spat up dirt. Charizard landed in front of her, his tail swinging to and fro behind him and he waddled around left to right. " What's wrong Puppy? Can't take the HEAT! " he's his then wheeze in laugher, a few of the stronger Pokémon outside the arena laughing behind him. She didn't have any reason to speak to him, she knew how this would end. " N..Not at All .... " she spoke with hesitation and her tail held high above her head. All her life she had lived in a cage, alone and separated from other Pokémon of her kind and not. The only true friend she'd had was a Pichu, who had been killed by the very creature that stood before her in battle. She thought her life was normal, but her former friend had told her otherwise. This life was blood filled and constant war, if you weren't the best of the best, you were never alive for more than a month. Rockruff herself had been here for a few months and tried to make the best of it, but now, she wasn't trying to anymore. This was it.
She'd dip her head in retreat, signaling that she knew she had lost already. The Charizard, wasn't happy. He took a few paces forward. And just before anything happened, these words were murmured to her. " Weak ... " Then with an ear splitting crack, a sharp pain stung through her whole body and everything went black~
