Start from the beginning

"If this was what you had wanted from the very beginning, I'll sacrifice myself willingly because I love you with all my heart. Thank you for these wonderful years of being with me, I love you," she whispered out as she slowly raised her hand weakly, and caressed his cheek.

"Where are you? Is there such thing as Heaven and Hell?" he asked in a bitter voice, and soon let out a sigh as he continued to look at the grave before him then, with his lips parted as he looked up to the sky with the umbrella still over his head.

"𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭, 𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧,"

he whispered out as he stood up and walked away. His hearts aching once more as he continued to dream of a day where she would stand before him in flesh, where he would be smiling as he looked at the way she would smile at him.

And then he turned, holding onto the bouquet he had brought over and soon scattered onto the ground as if he was creating some sort of path for her to be guided to him. His lips quivered then as he tried not to let out a cry.

Turning to walk away again, and little did he know a faint image of her sitting on the grave, with her knees up as she rested her elbows against it, with her head resting on the palms of her hands did she watch him walk away.

"𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞,"

her voice was heard and Kibutsuji Muzan's eyes widened as he turned to look, hearing her voice only to notice how there was nobody present behind him.

He walked around the deserted town where he had wiped out with ease. His lips parted as he looked at the demolished buildings and he could only then allow his mind to wander back to her. His blood started to boil slightly, getting angry at himself.

What was the point of living for eternity when she wasn't around?

He turned to look, hearing nothing but running footsteps along with agonising groans from the humans who were on the verge of death. His red plump eyes widened then as he heard the sound of a nichirin blade being unsheathed, and he turned to look.

Avoiding the oncoming attack did the blade clashed against the ground with a huge amount of force, causing the cloud of dust to rise as it blinded his vision slightly. He couldn't sense who it was, but within the cloud of dust did he manage to see the glint of a black nichirin blade, aiming for his neck.

His demon whip emerged as he wrapped it around the blade quickly just as the cloud of dust started to settle down. He could feel the intense fighting spirit from the one before him and his red plump eyes could only widen then at how was before him.

"Kibutsuji Muzan..." she muttered out, enraged slightly and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. His lips parted then as he took a good look at her, features and all were the same.

"You..." he whispered out as his eyes laid upon the pair of eyes that seem all too familiar to him. And then it travelled down to her ears, noticing a pair of hanafuda earrings were present, and that's when his memory started to replay.

Remembering when she became his lover, she had run away from her home where the Tsugikuni Family was, and never would he have thought she would be reincarnated.

"𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭, 𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧,"

he whispered out as if on cue did she stopped in her attack as her eyes widened at what she had listened to. She shook her head then, pressing her lips into a fine thin line as she tried to get her nichirin blade out from his demon whip's hold.

"What's your name?" he asked.

"[name]..." she whispered out softly as his demon whip released her blade and his red plump eyes widened at what she had said.

"Breath of Sun, Fourth Form: Fake Rainbow," and [name] did high-speed twists and rotations, creating afterimages, causing Muzan's demon whips to attack the afterimage instead of her actual body.

"Breath of Sun, Eighth Form: Solar Heat Haze!" and [name] charges towards Muzan, attack him with a haze covered slash that seemingly fails to hit.

"Hah..." Muzan whispered out only to have his red plump eyes widened as his arm was sliced off then. He then gritted his fangs together as he looked at [name] who stood behind him then.

"Why aren't you attacking me?" she asked in a soft voice as she stood behind him. He turned to look at her, and she took a step back, noticing how he had on a rather soft smile on his face instead.

"Because I can't do it. Not again," he whispered out and her eyes could only widen slightly at what she was looking at. Her pink-tinted lips parted as she placed her hand against her forehead and let out a sigh.

Keeping her nichirin blade, did she extend her hand out to him.

"𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫?"

she asked and Muzan's eyes widened at what he heard. His lips slowly curled up into a smile then as he reached out to her, grabbing hold of her hand as he knew at the back of his mind and hearts.

This was the same [name] he had fallen in love with before.

"𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧,"
